Abstract

The research to determine the potential for developing duck farming in Ternate City, especially Ternate Island and South Ternate Districts with the consideration that these areas have the highest population of duck breeders, and have potential development areas. The data collection method was carried out by observation, the sources of data obtained were primary and secondary data using qualitative and quantitative methods. The analysis used in this study is descriptive to describe the potential of the region, the potential of breeder resources, and the potential of individual breeders, while to see the economic potential using R/C-Ratio analysis. The results of the study indicate that the sub-districts of Ternate Island and South Ternate have potential areas for the development of ducks because they have a lower population density, so the area tends to be wider. The potential of breeder resources for the average breeder age is productive category, experienced in raising livestock. Economic potential by using R/C-Ratio analysis, the results of the feasibility test by obtaining an R/C-Ratio value of 2.7 (financially feasible), this indicates that if the addition of Rp.1 will get an income of 2.7. then the duck farming business in Ternate City has the potential and is feasible to be developed.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify factors affecting consumer preferences for the demand of duck meat in Ternate city. Recently, the demand of duck meat has increased as indicated by the existence of restaurants or processed duck meat restaurants in Ternate city, which in turn leads to a competition between restaurant owners and or restaurants that sellduck meat processed product. Samples of duck meat processors were determined using the Cluster Sampling method, of which the samples were restaurants and restaurants that sell processed duck meat from3 areas in Ternae city (e.g., 3 restaurants in North Ternate, 10 restaurants in Central Ternate, and 3 restaurants in South Ternate). The data were analyzed using Conjoint analysis in SPSS ver. 24. The results showed that price factor influencing consumer preferences was at a moderate price level, that is IDR 50,000 with a positive usefulness value being 0.029, compared to the lowest price level being negative (-0.029), and the highest price being negative (-0.060). In the income factor affecting consumer preferences, there was the highest level of income, which was greater than IDR 3,000,000 with a positive usefulness value (0.918), and the second preference was at the income level of IDR 1,000,000 - IDR 300,000 with a positive utility value of 0.719, compared to the lowest income level which was negative (-0.918).

Abstract

The development of broiler chicken farming agribusiness is the whole activity from upstream, process, and downstream, which can increase the productivity of profit-oriented livestock businesses in order to realize the revitalization of agricultural development. The present study aimed to analyze the development of broiler chicken farming agribusiness. This study was carried out at Campus IV Unkhair, Bangko, West Halmahera Regency, taking into account that this location was the center for the development of Agro-Ecotourism Educational Park integrated with agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. The type of this study was a survey research using qualitative methods, which were quantitatively expressed in reel numbers. The variables observed included the production facilities provider subsystem, production subsystem, marketing subsystem, and supporting institutions subsystem. Data were analyzed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)with the aim of understanding the indicators for the development prospects of agribusiness integration of organic vegetables and broiler chicken farming by determining criteria and selecting alternative strategies based on similar characteristics in decision making. The results indicated that the priority scale was in the marketing subsystem criteria, meaning that marketing was an important part in developing broiler chicken agribusiness on farms, which connected production and consumption activities.

Abstract

Keasadaran masyaraakt yang tinggi akan sangat bergunanya memenuhi asupan hewan melalui protein yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup manusia dan kecerdasan, sehingga membutuhkan sumber daging yang semakin banyak tersedia. Peternakan mempunyai kontribusi penting dalam menyediakan sumber protein hewani bagi masyarakat Indonesia, sehingga produktivitas ternak khususnya ruminansia harus ditingkatkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan daging. Peternakan kambing di Kecamatan Tidore merupakan salah satu jenis peternakan yang bisa dapat memahami kebutuhan masyarakatnya untuk daging. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah: (a) meningkatkan produktivitas, nilai tambah, kualitas daging kambing (b) meningkatkan kesejahteraan peternak kambing dan (c) penerapan teknologi produk fungisida organik, pestisida organik, dan pupuk organik cair ke mitra, dan (d) meningkatkan kolaborasi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan pengabdian. Luaran yang ditargetkan pada tahun I (2023). Luaran nanti dari kegiatan penagbdian ini meliputi: (a) Jurnal Nasional Terakreditasi, (b) Artikel media massa elektronik, (c) video Youtube, (d) peningkatan keberdayaan Mitra (peningkatan pengetahuan (±75), keterampilan ±75%, kualitas produksi ±50%, kapasitas produksi ±75%, kemampuan manajemen ±75%, dan profit ±75%, serta luaran tambahan berupa: (a) satu prosiding artikel seminar nasional penelitian dan pengabdian tahun 2023 dan (b) buku ber-. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini semoga bisa menambah produktivitas ternak di mitra itu sendiri.

Abstract

This study was carried out at the Gapoktan Timamo, West Ternate District, Ternate City, from May to October 2024. A survey using qualitative and quantitative methods was used in this study. The observed variables were indicators/criteria and selection of alternative strategies regarding the prospect of developing organic vegetable agribusiness. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to analyze the data. The AHP results showed that there was inconsistency value based on the criteria for production facilities provider, subsystem production subsystem, marketing subsystem, and supporting institutional subsystem in prospects for organic vegetable development and based on prospect alternatives for organic vegetable development as a whole, which means that the analysis results were acceptable. The agribusiness subsystem criteria in the prospect of developing organic vegetable agribusiness as a whole, the most influential was the marketing subsystem with a weight value of 0.351. Marketing is an important part which connects production and consumption activities.

Abstract

The study of pig husbandry system in Golo Village, West Halmahera Regency was conducted with the aim of determining the pig husbandry system carried out by pig farmers in Golo Village with 30 respondents. The method used in this study was quantitative analysis with a descriptive statistical approach. The parameters observed in this study include: General description of pig farming in Golo Village, Sahu District, Pig Growth in Golo Village, Sahu District, Pig Husbandry System in Golo Village, Sahu District, and penning system. The results of this study indicate that the pig husbandry system in Golo Village, West Halmahera Regency, is 10% in pens, 73.33% in pens at night and released during the day and 16.67% are not in pens.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSmall business activities in both traditional and modern sectors through micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the pillars of economic growth. This service activity was held with the main focus on solving MSME problems in the Tidore Islands. The aim is to identify the problems faced by MSME actors and to hold entrepreneurship training activities to develop the potential of the actors. In the current digital era, it is very easy for people to open new businesses and jobs. This potential can be maximized if knowledge and provision are provided for MSMEs to build their businesses from the start until they are successful in the future. Apart from that, as a business person in a business that is run, an entrepreneur who runs a business in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) needs to have a good marketing strategy. Tujuannya untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM serta mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan kewirausahaan untuk mengembangkan potensi para pelaku. Di era digital saat ini, kemudahan masyarakat untuk membuka usaha dan lapangan kerja yang baru sangat mudah dilakukan. Potensi tersebut bisa dimaksimalkan apabila pengetahuan dan pembekalan bagi para UMKM untuk membangun usahanya dari awal sehingga berhasil di kemudian waktu. Selain itu, sebagai pelaku bisnis pada usaha yang dijalankan, seorang wirausahawan/i yang menjalankan usaha di Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) perlu memiliki strategi pemasaran yang baik. Abstract

The coconut plantations in Maffa village are spaced approximately 7 x 9 meters apart, providing enough room for the chili plants to grow. The shading from the coconut plants, at about 45 percent, is suitable for the growth of chili plants. An experiment was conducted to observe the application of local micro-organisms on chili and its influence on the phenotype of chilies in coconut-sheltered conditions also the resistance to anthracnose attacks.. The experiment was held in the Mafa village coconut plantation from November 2022 to March 2023. The research was implemented using factorial treatment based on Randomized Block Design with 30 percent and 45 percent coconut shelter respectively, and the concentration of local micro-organisms is 5ml and 10ml per liter of water, respectively. The observational data was analyzed using the F-test and a treatment difference test at a five percent significance level. The research findings indicated that shade level and local microorganism concentration significantly impacted, the number of brunches, and the fruit weight. The highest chili production was 476.39 g tree-1 harvest-1.Keywords: Chili, micro-organism, coconut plantation.

Abstract

East Halmahera is the main area for developing rice and beef cattle in the North Maluku region. The cultivation of food crops and livestock production generates substantial waste which requires proper management. Precise waste management can reduce environmental pollution in agricultural areas while creating added value opportunities. Rice waste is used with cow manure to produce biogas and organic fertilizer through anaerobic digestion technology. In this research, rice waste and cow dung were used to produce biogas and organic fertilizer through anaerobic digestion. The research is a continuation of previous studies on biogas production in a laboratory setting. The study is divided into two stages: firstly, the production of biogas, and secondly, the creation of organic fertilizer from the remaining bioslurry. The performance of a Modified Profile Anaerobic Reactor biogas digester was evaluated using standard parameters such as pH, temperature, total solids, and flame duration. The nutrient content of the organic fertilizer was tested based on various parameters, including C-organic, Nitrogen (N), C/N ratio, Phosphorus (P2O5), and Potassium (K2O). The results of the research showed that a biogas reactor with a capacity of 2.200 kg produced 4.2 kg of biogas with a flame duration of 12 hours, 7 minutes, and 10 seconds. The average temperature during the process was 29°C, and the total solid organic material decomposition was 33%. Total solid processed organic fertilizer with a C/N value of 16.53, C-Organic content of 24.16%, macronutrients N 1.93%, P2O5 0.37%, and K2O of 1.75%.Keywords: biogas, organic fertilizer, rice husks, cow dung, and East Halmahera.
