Abstract

Laboratorium merupakan sarana yang sangat penting keberadaaannya di satuan pendidikan dasar dan menengah. Laboratorium dengan aktivitas praktikumnya dapat membantu pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep yang dipelajarinya di kelas sehingga meningkatkan minat belajar siswa terhadap sains. Salah satu kompetensi dalam proses belajar mengajar adalah kemampuan siswa memecahkan masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari. Ini bisa tercapai dengan bantuan laboratorium beserta alat peraga yang tersedia di sekolah. Kemampuan psikomotorik siswa akan terasah dalam memecahkan masalah-masalah yang berkaitan dengan konsep sains. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarkat dilakukan dengan beberapa metode yaitu survey awal terhadap permasalahan mitra, merancang alat peraga dan peralatan praktikum, praktikum sederhana di laboratorium danmembuat buku penuntun praktikum. Pada kegiatan praktikumdi laboratorium diperoleh nilai pre-test dengan rata-rata 51,38 dengan nilai tertinggi 70 dan terendah 20. Sedangkan nilai post-test memiliki rata-rata 79,31 dengan nilai tertinggi 100 dan terendah 30. Hasil pre-test dan post-test ini menunjukkan adanya kenaikan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 54,36%.

Abstract

The Least Squares Method (MKT) is the best linear regression estimator if the classical assumption tests are met. However, if there are outliers in the data, this approach can provide inaccurate prediction results. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to overcome the inappropriate model due to outliers in variables that affect mutual fund performance in Indonesia. The variables in this study are risk level, inflation, fund size, turnover ratio, and cash flow. Robust regression is an approach designed to provide more accurate estimates without discarding observational data that indicates outliers. One of the estimation approaches is Least Trimmed Squares (LTS). This estimation minimizes the sum of squared residuals from h observations that are not considered outliers. The results showed that there were 10 outliers in the data, and the risk level variable had no effect on mutual fund performance, while the inflation, fund size, turnover ratio, and cash flow variables had a significant effect. So by comparing the  value and residual standard error of the two methods, it is found that the  value in the LTS method is greater than the MKT method, namely 0.589 0.273, and the residual standard error in the LTS method is smaller than the MKT method, namely 9.73 48.59. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Least Trimmed Squares method provides better estimation results and is more effective for handling outliers than the MKT method.

Abstract

Masalah transportasi adalah   bentuk spesifik dari program linier untuk menangani proses pendistribusian barang dari asal (supply) menuju lokasi tujuan dengan meminimumkan biaya transportasi sehingga diperlukan perencanaan strategi untuk menentukan rute. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Vogel’s Approximation (VAM) untuk mencari solusi layak awal dan menerapkan metode Stepping Stone untuk uji optimalitasnya serta ingin menunjukkan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh pada biaya transportasi jika lokasi supply dan demand dibuat bervariasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pada variasi lokasi supply berpengaruh terhadap biaya transportasi sedangkan pada variasi lokasi demand tidak. Biaya transportasi yang paling minimum diperoleh pada variasi pertama supply.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji metode solusi awal Allocation Table Method (ATM) dalam meminimalisir biaya transportasi pendistribusian dengan solusi optimal Modified Distribution (MODI). Untuk mengkaji solusi awal yang layak yaitu Allocation Table Method (ATM), dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan percobaan modifikasi pada langkah penyelesaiaannya, dengan diberikan sebuah implementasi kasus pada sebuah instansi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa solusi awal layak menggunakan Metode Tabel Alokasi (ATM) dan percobaan modifikasi dengan menggunakan biaya genap minimum, solusi yang dihasilkan optimal dan biaya transportasi lebih minimum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of genetic algorithms in solving the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) on the distribution route of goods at SiCepat Ekspres, especially in Medan City. Limiting the research area to Medan City and involving 7 branch warehouses as destination points, the genetic algorithm found the shortest route of 72.6 km. In this study, the mutation process is limited to genes of the 3rd to 7th order to reduce the possibility of damaging an already good solution, thus maintaining the quality of the solution while still providing opportunities for further improvement. The results show that the genetic algorithm can provide an efficient shortest route solution, so that it can help improve the efficiency of goods distribution at SiCepat Ekspres.

Abstract

Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a statistical analysis method used to test the relationship between variables in a model. SEM can be used as a statistical technique that takes into account latent and manifest variables, so in this study the SEM method was used to determine the eligibility of PKH recipients in West Medan District. Poverty has become a serious problem that is increasingly being faced by several countries in the world, including Indonesia. The Indonesian government has implemented many programs to overcome poverty, one of which is the Family Hope Program (PKH). Based on the research results, it is known that there is a direct negative relationship (indicating that an increase in one variable tends to decrease another variable), namely the family economic variable on the eligibility of recipients of the Family Hope Program

Abstract

Currently there are lots of softwares to solve problems including math problems. Mathematics teachers are now starting to be demanded to be able to operate some mathematical software to be considered capable of adapting to scientific developments, especially information technology at this time. For this reason training is needed for mathematics teachers so that they can master some mathematical software so that they become professional and more competent teachers. Dedication to this community will provide training to mathematics teachers, especially mathematics teachers in SMA Negeri 15 Medan to be able to use two pieces of mathematical software namely MAPLE and GEOGEBRA so that the competencies of these mathematics teachers increase and be more updated with technology.
