Abstract

Sarapan (makan pagi) adalah sesuatu kegiatan yang penting sebelum melakukan aktivitas fisik pada pagi hari. Sarapan pagi bagi anak sekolah sangatlah penting karena waktu sekolah adalah penuh aktivitas yang membutuhkan energi yang cukup besar. Untuk sarapan pagi harus memenuhi ≥ 20%- 30% kecukupan sehari. Hasil riset kesehatan dasar (RISKESDAS) 2010, menunjukkan besaran masalah gizi di Indonesia yaitu gizi kurang sebesar 17,9% pendek 35,6% kurus 13,3% dan gemuk 14,2%. Hal yang penting dalam kehidupan manusia adalah meningkatkan perhatian terhadap kesehatan guna mencegah terjadinya malnutrisi (gizi salah) dan resiko untuk menjadi gizi kurang, salah satunya melalui sarapan (Departemen Gizi dan Kesehatan Masyarakat, 2007).

Abstract

Hyperuricemia is an increased concentration of uric acid in the blood as a trigger gout. Consumption of a balanced diet, limiting consumption of purine and choose food sources of omega-3 which helps reduce the pain of gout is an ef ort right diet for patients. In order to accelerate the healing process, to change the behavior of the patient to be able to cope with gout can be done by using the media leaflet nutritional counseling. The purpose of this study was to determine the ef ect of counseling low-purine diet and high in omega-3 against uric acid levels in gout patients dr. AK Gani Palembang.This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. In the entire study population of gout patients who seek treatment at the hospital dr. AK Gani Palembang. Samples numbered 40 people, divided into two groups: the treatment and comparison drawn by purposive sampling sampling techniques eksidental. Analysis and data processing is computerized statistical paired t test.Results of univariate analysis showed the characteristics of respondents as many as 76% of respondents were female and the majority of respondents aged 46-55 years (35%). On the results of the analysis of the intake of macro and micro nutrients in the comparison group showed only on energy intake largely classified as good (55%), while the energy treatment group (60%), fat (65%), omega-3 (55%), and purine (80%) has been quite good.Results of bivariate analysis showed an average reduction in uric acid levels before and after a low-purine diet counseling in the amount of 2.01 mg / dL. It can be concluded that there is a low-purine diet counseling influences and high in omega-3s to decrease uric acid levels in gout patients with p = 0.004.

Abstract

Database of International US Census Bureau states that 3,857,327 people of Indonesia have complaints of constipation and they just did self treatment. According to the research, fiber plays an important role in defecation with minimum intake of 100 mg/kg/day. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of avocado juice (Persea gratissima) to constipation change in the elderly in Panti Tresna Werdha Teratai of Palembang City. This research was a quasiexperimental design - pretest and posttest with control. Sample size was 44 people divided into 2 groups, treatment and control group. The sample was taken with purposive technique sampling using inclusion and exclusioncriteria. The results showed that the average frequency of defecation of elderly with constipation increased after the administration of avocado juice. In the treatment group, the average frequency of defecation before the treatment was 0.82 times, and after the treatment the frequency increased to 1.45 times. The analysis of t-dependent test in the treatment group showed that p value was 0.02 (<0.05). On the other hand, there was no significant change in the control group with p value was 0.83 (> 0.05). Based on these results, avocado juice can increase frequency of defecation in elderly who has constipation.

Abstract

Breakfast or breakfast provides an important meaning for everyone to start the activity throughout the day. This activity is carried out until nine in the morning. Breakfast should be able to meet 15% to 30% of the total daily nutritional needs. Breakfast is expected to be able to realize a healthy, active and intelligent life (Hardinsyah, 2013). School-age children require good and sufficient intake of nutrients for activities, especially during breakfast (Susyani et al., 2014). In addition to adequate and balanced nutritional content, menu choices must be practical and varied from various types of food ingredients (Ministry of Health, 2013). Breakfast is beneficial for good school attendance, nutrient intake, academic achievement, fitness and a healthy weight (Hardinsyah; Perdana, 2013). Meanwhile, the impact of not eating breakfast on children has been shown to have an effect on academic achievement at school (Muchtar et al., 2011). There are various reasons why children skip breakfast, namely, long distance to school, late getting up in the morning, not in taste, not used to or afraid of being late for school (Mardiana, et al, 2013; Irianto in Ristiana, 2009). The habit of not eating breakfast results in a decrease in blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) so that the energy supply decreases, if this happens continuously it causes the body to tremble, get tired quickly and decrease motivation to learn (Wardoyo; Mahmudiono, 2013). According to Hardinsyah (2012) in Briawan, et al (2013), it is recorded that 20%-40% of Indonesian children do not eat breakfast every day. Hardinsyah and Aries (2012), stated that 44.6% of school-age children consume low-quality breakfast, which is below 15% of the daily nutritional adequacy. Lack of knowledge about the importance of eating breakfast in children is one of the factors that cause children to ignore breakfast (Notoatmodjo, 2012). Nutrition education needs to be given in order to achieve health behavior (Healthy Behavior). Based on the above background, it is necessary to provide counseling and examples of providing breakfast for school children.

Background : One of the nutrition major problems in Indonesia is malnutrition. Age <5 years is a very important period in the process of child development. Therefore, during this period, child nutritional intake and health care must be considered . Purpose : To see the effect of giving biscuits formula of mocaf, red bean, and milkfish flour on the body weight of undernourished children at the Sabokingking Health Center. Methods : This research was conducted in 2 stages. In the first stage, it uses an experimental research type with a completely randomized non-factorial design. Then the second stage uses a quasi-experimental type of research with pre-test and post-test designs with two groups. This research was conducted in January-April 2022 at the Sabokingking Health Center with a total sample of 30 children under five in each group, which was determined by a non-random method based on inclusion criteria. Results : The results of the Independent T-Test showed that there was no significant difference in the average weight gain in the treatment and comparison groups with a p-value of 0.15 (> 0.05). Conclusion : There is no effect of giving the formulated cookies to the body weight of children under 5.

Abstract

Background : Someone who experiences an increase in blood pressure exceeds the systolic value of 140 mmHg and a diastolic 90 mmHg is called hypertension (RI Ministry of Health, 2014). The results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2013 showed that the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia was 25.8% and the prevalence of hypertension in South Sumatra was 26.1%. Objective : This study aims to determine the effect of giving avocado juice, honey, and dark chocolate (amaco juice) to the reduction of blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension on the Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang Social Home. Method : This type of research was quasi-experimental with a treatment and comparison group conducted in January 2019 at the Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang Social Home. The number of samples in this study were 50 elderly consisting of 25 elderly treatment groups and 25 elderly comparison groups.Result : The results of this study indicate that based on sex most of the women are in the treatment group by 60% (15 people) and in the comparison group by 72% (18 people). Based on age in the treatment group, most of the age group> 70 years were 13 people (52%) and in the comparison group there were 18 people (72%). Conclusion : The results of statistical tests showed that the value (p <0.05) p-value <0.05 so it can be concluded that there was the effect of AMACO juice on the reduction of blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension on the Social Institution of Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang.
