Abstract

Technology of podcasting becomes a popular teaching media in education nowadays. It gives the students opportunity to study anytime and anywhere. It is flexible, dynamics and powerful to improve students listening comprehension. It gives new challenge in the context of language learning especially listening that as first skill of language acquisition. This was a classroom action research study. It aims at identifying the listening improvement of third semester students of Informatics Management at AMIK Mitra Gama academic year 2019/2020 by using podcasts. The participants were 24 students(3 MMI class). Finding of this study showed that utilizing podcast can improve not only student’s listening comprehension achievement (66.96% in fisrt cycle to 68,29% in second cycle) but also student’s participation (46,67% in cycle 1 to 56,67% in cycle 2). In sum, podcasts can be an attractive media in teaching listening at AMIK Mitra Gama.

Abstract

This service activity aims to stimulate students' interest in reading poetry at SMA Muhammadiyah I Pekanbaru through a poetry musicalisation approach. The service team conducted a situational analysis of the partners and found that the students' interest in reading poetry was low due to the lack of understanding and appreciation of poetry and the lack of students' creativity in presenting poetry. This service activity was also carried out as an effort to develop students' creativity in arts and culture. Creativity can help students develop critical and creative thinking skills, problem solving and innovation in various fields. Poetry musicalisation was chosen as a method in this activity because it can increase the appreciation and understanding of literary works, especially poetry. Poetry musicalisation can make poetry more interesting and easier for students to understand, and improve students' language and artistic skills. This method is effective in increasing the appreciation of poetry and helping students to develop their creative skills.

Abstract

Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK) adalah suatu proses pengumpulan data untuk mengukur kompetensi peserta didik pada kompetensi produktif yang dilakukan terhadap peserta didik kelas XII pada satuan pendidikan SMK. UKK diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi atau satuan pendidikan terakreditasi bersama mitra dunia usaha/industri. Aspek yang dinilai adalah aspek pengetahuan dan aspek keterampilan. Pengabdian Masyarakat merupakan salah satu dari Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yang wajib dilakukan oleh seorang dosen. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalu kegiatan UKK dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian pengetahuan dan kompeten siswa SMKS Teknologi Industri Pinggir pada bidang Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Perkantoran dan sebagai dasar mempersiapkan siswa untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian terhadap 15 peserta diperoleh 3 orang siswa dengan nilai akhir tertinggi yaitu 98. Sehingga para peserta berhasil memiliki kompetensi pada bidang keahlian Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Perkantoran (OTKP) dan diharapkan bisa bermanfaat di dunia usaha maupun dunia industri.

Abstract

Muara Basung Village is one of the villages located in the suburbs, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. Based on data in the field, the problem that occurs is that there are still many MSME actors in the village of Muara Basung having difficulty running a sales system using online marketing strategies with the aim of making it accessible to many people. One of the online marketing strategies is to use digital marketing, namely e-commerce. Based on these conditions, Institut Teknologi Mitra Gama works as one of the universities based in the field of information technology in collaboration with the Bengkalis Regency Youth Organization to carry out community service programs in the form of assistance to introduce E-Commerce. The service method used is data collection, technical preparation, implementation and evaluation of activities. The performance indicators prove that this activity is proceeding according to the initial plan. The result of this activity is that the participants are very enthusiastic about getting to know E-Commerce to market their products so that they can be reached more widely by potential buyers. The continuation of this activity is expected that every participant will switch to online marketing media for a wider reach in finding potential buyers. Thus the participants become aware of the importance of learning information technology to increase competitiveness, especially in selling MSME products.
