Abstract

The requirement to write scientific articles is often still an obstacle to support the advancement of a teacher's career path. Generally they have difficulty fulfilling it because they have not been trained or even have never written and produced research work in the form of scientific articles. Therefore, teachers need to be given the training to improve professional competence through writing and publishing scientific articles. The purpose of this community service projects is to provide knowledge for Arabic teachers of Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) in Banten Province who do not have direct experience in writing and publishing scientific articles in online journals through the Open Journal System (OJS) platform. The method of implementing this activity is carried out using the Zoom Meetings platform in a webinar format which includes presentation materials, questions and answers, and simulations. Meanwhile, the results of this activity showed a positive response from the teachers for the development of their competences in writing and publishing scientific articles. Persyaratan menulis artikel ilmiah kerap kali masih menjadi hambatan untuk menunjang kenaikan jenjang karir guru. Umumnya mereka mengalami kesulitan untuk memenuhinya karena memang belum terlatih atau bahkan sama sekali belum pernah menulis dan menghasilkan hasil penelitian berupa artikel ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu diberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesi melalui penulisan dan publikasi artikel ilmiah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan bagi guru, khususnya Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Bahasa Arab di Provinsi Banten yang belum mempunyai pengalaman langsung dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dan mempublikasikannya ke dalam jurnal melalui platform Open Journal System (OJS). Adapun metode penerapan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan platform zoom meetings dalam format webinar yang meliputi presentasi materi, tanya jawab, dan simulasi. Sementara itu, dari hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan respon positif dari para guru untuk pengembangan kompetensi mereka dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

This article aims to motivated by support for the world’s peace campaign by introducing foreign (Palestinian) cultural values which are full of value of the humanity and divinity. Besides that, their sacrifice and struggle are also worth learning. The main purpose of this research is to grow the feeling of loving people abroad since they are young. The other goal (as a synchronization with the main goal) is to train children to feel sympathy and empathy as well as the form of moral and material support for the Palestinian people who are still fighting for their independence. The focus or highlight of this research is to prove that literary works in the form of dongeng can be used as a medium in conveying cultural values. The method that the researcher uses in this research is the naturalistic-qualitative. Data was collected by various techniques such as; practicing the tale entitled "About Gaza" which was delivered directly by expert pendongengs, questionnaires, and also interviews. The results of this study prove that dongeng is an effective medium in an effort to convey Palestinian cultural values to elementary school students. The evidence of the success of this research is the positive response given by the students by concretizing the impact on the respondent's behavior towards the Palestinians, namely their willingness to donate and pray and the children's determination to retell the tale to the people around them.

Abstract

This study aims to gain knowledge and discoveries about kinship in Minangkabau local color novels represented by AR Rizal's Limpapeh novel. The author's social background indirectly influences this. Concerning kinship is worth researching because, since the time of modern literature in Indonesia, Minangkabau literature was formerly famous for its ironic tales related to marriage and customs. Meanwhile, through his novel, AR Rizal shows the condition of today's society with a kinship order that still maintains the past system, and it turns out that it is still often found in the reality of today's society even though this is only expressed in the form of works of fiction. This qualitative research uses the content analysis method, namely research that discusses information in depth and then marks it in the form of quotations in the novel as data marked in the text. The results of this study found that the form of kinship in the novel Limpapeh by AR Rizal is in the form of suku and sako, mamak and kemenakan, bako and anak pisang, andan and pasumandan. In terms of kinship, it shows that ethnic issues and the role of Mamak are still essential and are used today in Minangkabau society. This indirectly shows that mimetic elements in fictional literary works can still be found in society.

Abstract

The study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of Nahwu Educational T-shirts, a wearable instructional media designed to support visual and contextual learning of Arabic grammar (Nahwu). The study employed a research and development methodology based on the four-D model, comprising the stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination. The subjects were students in the Arabic language program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Data collection used expert validation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. The analysis used descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative methods. The results show that the product is highly practical, with mean validation scores of 3.46 from material experts and 3.50 from design experts. During the dissemination survey, 87.5% of students considered the product innovative, 79% said the media engaged them more with the material, and 75% reported it helped them learn Nahwu concepts. It demonstrates that integrating grammatical content into contextual and visual media can increase students’ interest and understanding of Arabic syntax. Nahwu educational T-shirts are a modest yet practical and effective visual learning tool that makes Arabic grammar instruction more engaging and contextually meaningful.

Abstract

This study examines how language constructs and communicates halal identity in global markets through an analysis of halal branding practices. While prior research has focused on certification, regulation, and consumer trust, limited attention has been given to the linguistic strategies shaping halal identity across cultural contexts. Employing a qualitative design and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this study analyzes a corpus of 45 halal branding texts, including product labels, promotional slogans, and digital marketing content from Indonesia, Malaysia, and selected global brands. The findings reveal three dominant discursive strategies: (1) religious lexicalization (e.g., halal, tayyib, sharia-compliant), (2) hybrid identity framing that integrates Islamic values with global branding narratives, and (3) persuasive sloganization linking ethical consumption with lifestyle aspirations. The study also highlights cross-cultural tensions, where the universalization of halal values encounters challenges in local adaptation. This research contributes to sociolinguistics, marketing discourse, and halal studies by demonstrating the central role of language in constructing symbolic meanings of halal in the global economy. Practically, the findings offer insights for marketers and policymakers in designing culturally sensitive and linguistically effective halal branding strategies.
