Abstract

The Distinctive of Madrasah is an extra-curricular activity with Islamic distinctive and character. This distinctive is designed to form the noble character of students based on Islamic values ​​in Madrasah. In the long term, the Distinctive of Madrasah is expected to contribute to preparing fully human resources as pillars in nation character building. This study aimed to describe the phenomena and experiences of managing the Distinctive of Madrasah activities at MAN I Sungai Penuh as a forum for establishment students' religious character. In this case, the researcher has used a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach, trying to understand and describe the same experience about the management of the Distinctive of Madrasah activities as a means of establishing students' religious character. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Then, the informants of this study were the teachers and students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh, which consisted of 11 people. The data were analyzed by reducing, verifying, displaying, and drawing conclusions. The result of this study was the implementation of the Distinctive of Madrasah activities at MAN I Sungai Penuh, which consists of programmed activities, which are scheduled activities, measurable routines, and non-programmed activities in the form of daily routine activities, spontaneous and exemplary. Both activities are carried out in an integrated and synergized manner to strengthen the religious character of students. The continuous and continuous implementation of the Distinctive of Madrasah at MAN I Sungai Penuh has brought positive results with the establishment of students' religious character, which is marked by the increased understanding and charity of students' worship and an increased sense of togetherness, brotherhood, and caring among others both in daily life at Madrasah and home.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is one of the main asset of a person to succeed in daily life including in the school. Good interpersonal communication skills will support students' success in the school, but not all students have interpersonal communication skills, especially those who are active in social media. Thus, the aim of this research is to reveal the interpersonal communication of students who use social media. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with the number of respondents were 31 students of seventh grade at State Junior High School of 24 Kerinci which was taken by using the purposive sampling technique. Data were revealed by using the scale of inter-private communication and then, the data collected were analyzed by using the percentage formula.  Afterwards, the interpretation of the acquisition score of research results done by using the ideal score. The results reveal that in general, the students who use social media in the school have  poor interpersonal communication

Abstract

The problem of violence in the world of education becomes a very important topic to be solved, so there needs to be concrete action from the world of education such as realizing a Child Friendly School. The purpose of this assistance is to provide assistance in SMK Negeri 6 Kerinci in realizing a Child Friendly School. This method of mentoring is carried out through workshops, lectures and questions held on January 22, 2022. The scope of this activity was carried out in SMK Negeri 6 Kerinci with respondents to the entire academic community of SMK Negeri 6 Kerinci. The results of this assistance show that the academic community of SMK Negeri 6 Kerinci has good education and a strong joint commitment in realizing Child-Friendly Schools to make SMK Negeri 6 Kerinci as a Child-Friendly School Role Model in Kerinci Regency

Abstract

The focus of the research is the development of the subject "Islam and Religious Moderation" in Islamic Education study program at IAIN Kerinci and learning tools, namely Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS, Semester Learning Plan) and course syllabus. In conducting the research, the research and development (R&D) approach is used as a basic reference for developing lecture programs through observation or survey methods, trials and classroom actions. From the results and research analysis, it can be concluded that in the development of a course there are several things that must become the product of development including the course structure, RPS, syllabus, and course-teaching materials of course. In terms of the development of the Islamic and Religious Moderation course based on the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM, Independent learning – Independent campus) program, theoretical and practical analysis of the guidelines, instructions, and implementation of religious moderation and MBKM is needed. The product development courses are further refined through validation by curriculum and religious education experts and theoretical validation through journal articles of international repute as comparisons.

Abstract

This research delves into the reasons behind the selection of the Islamic religious education major at Islamic-based universities, as well as the challenges faced when individual interests and chosen majors are not in alignment. The research employs a qualitative questionnaire as the primary data collection method. The objective of this study is to provide in-depth insights into the choice of the Islamic religious education major in the context of Islamic-based higher education institutions and how the challenges faced by students can be overcome to achieve more meaningful education and a more satisfying career in the future. The research findings indicate that not all students choose their majors in line with their interests. Several challenges arise when individuals encounter a gap between their interests and the reality in the academic environment. This research identifies potential solutions to bridge this gap.Top of Form

Abstract

Integrasi nilai amanah dan profesionalitas pendidikan merupakan upaya memadukan etika Islam dengan prinsip manajemen ilmiah guna menciptakan tata kelola pendidikan yang akuntabel, efektif, dan berintegritas. Permasalahan penelitian ini ialah belum optimalnya penerapan tanggung jawab, rendahnya transparansi dalam pengelolaan lembaga, serta lemahnya implementasi prinsip profesionalitas dalam pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi nilai amanah dan profesionalitas, mengkaji kontribusi perspektif Islam dan sains dalam penguatan tata kelola pendidikan, serta merumuskan model implementasi kedua nilai tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 27 Kerinci. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai amanah dan profesionalitas berperan strategis dalam menciptakan sistem pengelolaan pendidikan yang efektif, berintegritas, dan berorientasi pada mutu. Perspektif Islam memberikan landasan etika, sedangkan pendekatan ilmiah menyediakan metode implementasi kebijakan yang sistematis. Implementasi dilakukan melalui internalisasi nilai dalam visi, misi, budaya organisasi, penguatan kepemimpinan, pengembangan kompetensi SDM, akuntabilitas, evaluasi kinerja, pengawasan, serta penguatan budaya organisasi. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi nilai amanah dan profesionalitas mampu meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan pendidikan serta memperkuat tata kelola lembaga secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of religious tolerance from the perspective of Sufi Abd al-Karim al-Jilli and its relevance to religious moderation in Indonesia. Although many studies on tolerance and Sufism have been conducted, there are still research gaps in systematically linking the metaphysical framework of al-Jilli, especially through the concept of al-Insan al-Kamil, with the problem of contemporary religious intolerance in Indonesia. This research focuses on three main aspects, namely: (1) the conceptualization of tolerance according to al-Jilli, (2) his views on religious and social diversity, and (3) the relevance of his thinking in the context of religious life in Indonesia today. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research, by utilizing primary sources in the form of al-Jilli's works, especially al-Insan al-Kamil, and supported by relevant secondary literature. Data analysis is carried out through a thematic content analysis approach with coding, categorization, and interpretation stages. The results of the study show that the concept of tolerance of al-Jilli is rooted in an esoteric-universalistic view that views the plurality of religions within the framework of the unity of divine reality. However, this view is not interpreted as an equalization of all religions, but rather as an ethical basis for respecting differences without eliminating theological boundaries. This research provides a theoretical contribution in the form of a more systematic interpretation of the concept of tolerance within the framework of al-Jilli's Sufism metaphysics, as well as a practical contribution in the form of an interpretive framework that can be used in strengthening the academic position while increasing the relevance of al-Jilli's thought in responding to the dynamics of contemporary diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of students’ religious character through the integration of Islamic values in sixth-grade Natural and Social Sciences learning at SDIT Darunnajah. The study was conducted based on the increasing need for integrative learning that combines scientific knowledge with spiritual and moral values to address the dichotomy between religious and general education. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis applied the interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the integration of Islamic values was systematically implemented through the stages of planning, implementation, and reflection. Islamic values were integrated by connecting Natural and Social Sciences materials with faith values, Qur’anic verses, hadiths, and natural phenomena as signs of Allah’s greatness. The integrated values included tauhid, gratitude, responsibility, honesty, humility, and enthusiasm for seeking knowledge. The integration process contributed positively to strengthening students’ religious character, as reflected in increased spiritual awareness, gratitude, responsibility, and religious behavior in daily life. Therefore, integrative Natural and Social Sciences learning based on Islamic values is effective in developing students who are intellectually competent while possessing strong religious character and spiritual awareness.
