Abstract

Heterotopia is a phenomenon that occurs in the functioning of space and refers to the unreal space present in a real room. Where the incident can be interpreted, there are other functions of the room in the context of different spatial characters even though they do not negate each other. This event usually occurs in the living room of the Chinese community residence. This phenomenon can happen because the living room, which in fact is located as a real space, can function in addition to being a place to receive guests (profane), but at certain conditions in the form of time and human behavior can also affect and change the function of the space into a place of prayer to accommodate their spirituality (sacred) activities. The purpose of this study is to be able to review the specifics of the application of the principle of heterotopia space and the supporting factors that influence it. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method in the form of depictions accompanied by analysis supported by taking photos, literature data, and interviews. Thus the principle of heterotopia that occurs in the living room of the Chinese community is caused by the influence of Chinese culture, the time & activities it carries out, as well as the formation of an atmosphere of spiritual dimension which is also supported by elements of furniture accompanied by prayer equipment in the form of incense as the main supporting factor so that the living room can change its function to be more sacred and private.

Abstract

Buddagan 1 Hamlet, Pamekasan Regency, faces the problem of cow dung waste piling up around the house, causing an unpleasant odor and unhygienic kitchen conditions. The proximity of the cow shed to the kitchen, coupled with the status of a heritage village that requires a solution without changing the building structure, demands an innovative approach. Therefore, this community service aims to apply biogas technology to utilize cow dung waste as an alternative energy source, improve environmental cleanliness, and reduce household expenses. Community service activities include socialization of biogas technology, training on use and maintenance, as well as installation and evaluation assistance. As a result, biogas technology was successfully implemented, meeting cooking gas needs, reducing household costs, and producing organic fertilizer. Socialization, training, and ongoing assistance ensure the operational success of biogas technology. Buddagan 1 Hamlet is now an inspiring example of environmentally friendly livestock waste management.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan bisnis kafe yang pesat di kota besar seperti Surabaya menjadikan kafe sebagai sarana gaya hidup masyarakat di jaman sekarang yang cenderung lebih suka menghabiskan waktunya di luar rumah. Tidak hanya sebagai tempat untuk makan, kafe juga menjadi target masyarakat untuk menghabiskan waktunya bekerja maupun meeting secara langsung, terutama di era pandemi yang membuat sebagian masyarakat work from home. Terdapat tiga permasalahan yang akan dibahas yaitu apakah desain ruang dan tata letak interior dapat berpengaruh terhadap minat pengunjung untuk revisit kafe Redback dan Common Grounds Surabaya, apakah kenyamanan interior dapat berpengaruh terhadap minat pengunjung untuk revisit kafe Redback dan Common Grounds Surabaya, dan Bagaimana peran desain interior yang dapat menghasilkan pengaruh positif pada minat pengunjung untuk revisit kafe. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan analisa statistik deskriptif dan analisa statistik inferensial dari data kuesioner yang telah diisi oleh 109 responden dan diolah. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan hasil yang membuktikan bahwa desain interior memiliki peran dalam menunjang minat pengunjung untuk revisit kafe Redback dan Common Grounds Surabaya dari hitungan statistik dan juga cara mengatur desain interior yang dapat menarik minat pengunjung untuk revisit kafe.
