Abstract

Abstract

Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is one of the easiest ways to detect breast cancer, but women’s awareness of doing BSE is still very low. Breast Cancer patients with advanced stages, an estimated 70% visit a health facility. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls in providing BSE health education with demonstration and lecture methods. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Driyorejo, Gresik. This research method is Quasi Experiment with Non Equivalent Control Group One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The sampling technique uses Probability Sampling with Stratified Random Sampling. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was an influence on the level of knowledge and attitudes of young women before and after being given BSE health education with the demonstration method with a p-value of 0.001 < (0.05), there was an influence on the level of knowledge and attitudes of young women before and after being given BSE health education. with the lecture method with a p-value of 0.001 < (0.05), there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge of young women in the provision of BSE health education with demonstration and lecture methods with a p-value of 0.015 < (0.05) and there is no significant difference the attitude of young women in providing BSE health education with demonstration and lecture methods with a p-value of 0.491 > 0.05. From the results of this study, it is hoped that students will be able to do BSE regularly and correctly in accordance with the 6 steps of BSE as an early detection of breast cancer, and the school will apply lecture and demonstration methods in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

Background: Growth is related to the size of physical body structures, while development is an interaction of organ functions such as motor development, language, socialization, and emotions. Stimulation is part of a post-natal environmental factor that is associated with psychosocial factors. From 32 weeks of pregnancy to 2 years of age is the most important stage in the motor development of the child where there is the fastest myelination process in the child's development. The phenomenon that is happening today is that parents lack an understanding of how to perform proper stimulation and have limited knowledge about child development. So there's a need for a medium that can help parents learn how to do the right stimulation so that the child can go through the developmental stages of his or her age.The aim of this study is to find out the impact of video stimulation of growing and development children. Metods: This method of research uses the research type Quasi Experimental Design. The subject of this study is a parent who has a child aged 6-24 months divided into two groups. (control and experiment). Respondents will receive health education related to stimulation of child development by lecture methods (control), and by video media (eksperimen). Results: The discrepancy between pretest and posttest (control and intervention groups), which are unmatched data, was analysed using the Mann-Whitney test. The analysis obtained p=0.219 (p>0.05) showed no effect of video stimulation on the growth of children aged 6-24 months. Video media did not give a more significant influence when compared to leaflet media on the control group. Conclusion: There is an effect of growth and development stimulation videos and leaflets on the development of toddlers aged 6-24 months. But there is no significance of the difference between the two tools, namely growth and development stimulation videos and leaflets on the development of toddlers aged 6-24 months.

Abstract

Background: Stunting remains a major problem in Indonesia. The Blora Regency Government targets a stunting prevalence of 20.81% by 2025. Stunting impacts parents' psychological well-being, such as feelings of inability to care for their children. Therefore, resilience and adaptation are needed to accept their child's condition. Parental resilience can be improved through social support and knowledge.  Stunting counseling by cadres can provide social support and knowledge to mothers emotionally. The purpose is to analyze the effect of kalinting on resilience of parents of stunted children. Methods: This quantitative study used a single-group pretest-post test design. The population was all cadres in the stunting village. A sample of 30 cadres was selected using consecutive sampling. The study was conducted from June to September 2025 in Blora Regency. The independent variable was stunting counseling, while the dependent variables were cadre knowledge and maternal resilience. The knowledge and resilience instruments used a questionnaire. A pretest of cadre knowledge was conducted before counseling, and a posttest was conducted three days later. The pretest of maternal resilience in stunted children was conducted before the stunting counseling practice, followed by a posttest. Analysis used a paired t-test because the data were normal. Results: The results of the study showed a difference in the knowledge of cadres before and after education (p=0.0001) and a difference in the resilience of mothers before and after receiving counseling (p=0.0001). Conclusion: Stunting counseling by cadres can increase mothers' confidence in caring for their children. Cadres can provide stunting counseling at integrated health posts.
