Abstract

Abstrak: Selain faktor fisiologis, faktor gender yang dikonstruk dari situasi social dan budaya adalah penyebab adanya perbedaan laki-laki dan perempuan dalam prestasi akademik matematika. Faktor-faktor tersebut meliputi antara lain familiaritas dan persepsi terhadap pelajaran matematika, serta perlakuan guru. Beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor gender mempengaruhi cara memperoleh pengetahuan matematika, gender merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh dalam proses konseptualisasi ilmu pengetahuan dan berpengaruh pada penggunaan intuisi dalam memahami konsep-konsep matematika. Oleh sebab itu, dalam proses pembelajaran matematika seorang pendidik harus memperhatikan fungsi dan kerja otak antara laki-laki dan perempuan termasuk perbedaan-perbedaan di dalamnya sehingga pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran bisa lebih maksimal. Faktor sosial, budaya, psikologis dan lingkungan juga perlu diperhatikan agar dapat memaksimalkan perkembangan kemampuan matematis serta mencari bentuk pembelajaran matematika yang lebih baik. Abstract: In addition to physiological factors, gender which constructed from social and cultural situation is another factors that causes of the differences in men and women in the academic achievement of mathematics. These factors include, among others, familiarity and perceptions of math, as well as the treatment of teachers. Some research indicates that gender factors influence the way to gain knowledge of mathematics, gender is an influential factor in the process of conceptualization of science and the effect on the use of intuition in understanding mathematical concepts. Therefore, in the process of learning mathematics, educators should pay attention to the functions and workings of the brain between men and women, including differences in them so that the achievement of learning objectives can be maximized. Social, cultural, psychological and environment factors are also needed to be considered in order to maximize the development of mathematical abilities and to find forms of learning mathematics better. Abstract

The research has been done to compare the average differences of physic learning results between students who used oral argumentation ability and who used written argumentation ability approach in State Senior High School 1 Labuhan Maringgai in academic year 2013/2014. This research was a treatment to a learning (free variable) to show measurement and scientific value (dependent variable) by using one-shot case study. The results showed that there were significant difference between students using oral and written argumentation ability in average.Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk membandingkan perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar fisika antara siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan kemampuan argumentasi oral dengan pendekatan kemampuan argumentasi tertulis, di SMA Negeri 1 Labuhan Maringgai tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah perlakuan terhadap suatu pembelajaran (variabel bebas) untuk menunjukkan pengukuran dan nilai ilmiah (variabel terikat), dengan desain penelitian One-Shot Case Study. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar fisika antara siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan kemampuan argumentasi oral dengan pendekatan kemampuan argumentasi tertulis dengan perbedaan yang signifikan, terlihat bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kemampuan argumentasi oral lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kemampuan argumentasi tertulis.Kata kunci: kemampuan argumentasi, kemampuan argumentasi oral, kemampuan argumentasi tertulis

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and adolescents' attitudes towards sexual violence. The research method uses a correlational approach, with a sample size of 98 adolescents selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation. The results show that 40.8% of students have poor knowledge, 37.8% have good knowledge, and 21.4% have adequate knowledge. In terms of attitudes towards sexual violence, 57.1% of adolescents have a positive attitude, while 42.9% have a negative attitude. The Pearson correlation test results showed a p-value of 0.147. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between knowledge and adolescents' attitudes towards sexual violence, but efforts to improve attitudes and personal boundaries among students are necessary, as nearly half have a negative attitude. Abstract

Mathematical literacy can be defined as the ability to understand and use mathematics in various contexts to solve problems, geometry is a lesson that can still make students experience learning obstacles or called learning obstacles. The purpose of the study was to identify learning obstacles and didactically analyze students' mathematical literacy on space and shape content. This research uses a qualitative method, incorporating the dedactical design model (Didactical Design Research). The qualitative method consists of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The instruments used were interview guidelines and observation guidelines. Meanwhile, the dedactical design consists of: 1) prospective analysis (before learning) 2) metapedactic analysis and 3) retrospective analysis (combined results of prospective and metapedactic analysis). The research subjects were 6 students who were selected by purposive sampling. Based on the dedactical design, the researcher only reached the prospective stage. Based on the results of research on students' mathematical literacy skills in solving PISA questions on space and shape content, namely on the three subjects showing different results. Based on the written test results, AD and AL subjects have high mathematical literacy skills. then JU subjects have moderate literacy skills. And subjects NF, RI and MA have low mathematical literacy skills. So that from these three subjects it can be said that the students' mathematical literacy skills are still low. Efforts that can be made based on learning obstacles are that students are guided and familiarized when given problems to solve by starting to write what is known and what is asked in the given problem, linking to real-world concepts, expressing arguments in solving problems, developing strategies, using symbols, mathematical tools, and making conclusions of mathematical solutions.

Abstract

This study is an experimental research with a quantitative approach that aims to determine the influence of the application of the Snowball Throwing model on student learning outcomes. The population of this study is grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ponre with a sample from class VIII A. The data collection method in this study is Test Instruments in the form of pretest and posttest. The data was processed by instrument tests in the form of Question Difficulty Level Test and Discriminating Power Test, and to answer the Research Hypothesis, a Descriptive Statistical Test and an Infernal Statistical Test were carried out using the Normality Test, and the Independent Sample T-test. Based on the results of the research and the data that has been collected, the researcher can conclude that the application of the snowball throwing model has a significant positive effect on the learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 2 Ponre students. his is proven in the paired sample t-Test calculation, the significance value obtained is 0.000, which means this value is more than <0.05. Apart from that, after getting tcount of 15.203 and ttable of 2.05954, it can be concluded that tcount > ttable (15.203 > 2.05954) so that HO is rejected HI is accepted.
