Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasilbelajar IPA siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Bajawali Kecamatan Lariang Kabupaten Mamuju Utara. Masalah yang diselidiki adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Alternatif pemecahan masalah adalah melalui Penerapan Metode Inkuiri. Penelitian inidilakukan pada siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Bajawali Kecamatan Lariang Kabupaten Mamuju Utara, dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang. Jenis data yang diperoleh adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Untuk hasil belajarnya terjadi peningkatan seiring dengan diterapkannya tindakan pembelajaran melalui Penerapan MetodeInkuiri dari siklus I menuju siklus II. Hasil siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan dasar klasikal 73%, aktivitas guru sebesar 88% berada pada kategori baik dan aktivitas siswa sebesar 71% berada pada kategori cukup. Selanjutnya pada siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 87%, aktivitas guru berada pada kategori sangat baik yaitu 96% dan aktivitas siswa berada pada kategori baik yaitu 84%.  Berdasarkan indikator penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN Inpres Bajawali Kecamatan Lariang Kabupaten Mamuju Utara. Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the phenomenon of arranged marriages in Ketapang Village, Probolinggo, with a focus on the role of parents in determining their children's spouses through arranged marriages. In Islam, a wali (father or grandfather) has the ijbar right to marry off their child, but ideally, this decision should be accompanied by the child's consent to avoid coercion. The study analyzes arranged marriages using the utilitarianism theory of Jeremy Bentham and Abu Zahrah, who each assess actions based on the balance of pleasure and pain, as well as the long-term benefits for individuals and families. The study found several couples who married through arranged marriages, which could harm the parties involved. According to Jeremy Bentham's Utilitarianism, this practice contradicts the principle of happiness. Meanwhile, according to Abu Zahrah, marriage should fulfil the values of justice and benefit. Consequently, the implications of their utilitarian theories support the need for stricter regulations and education to protect individual rights, especially those of women.Keywords: Arranged Marriage, Ijbar Right, Utilitarianism. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi fenomena perjodohan di Desa Ketapang, Probolinggo, dengan fokus pada peran orang tua dalam menentukan pasangan anak melalui perjodohan. Dalam Islam, seorang wali (ayah atau kakek) memiliki hak ijbar untuk menikahkan anaknya, namun idealnya keputusan ini disertai persetujuan anak untuk menghindari keterpaksaan. Studi ini menganalisis perjodohan menggunakan teori utilitarianisme dari Jeremy Bentham dan Abu Zahrah, yang masing-masing menilai tindakan berdasarkan keseimbangan kesenangan dan rasa sakit serta manfaat jangka panjang bagi individu dan keluarga. Ditemukan terdapat beberapa pasangan yang menikah akibat perjodohan yang dapat merugikan pihak-pihak terkait. Dalam pandangan utilitarianisme Jeremy Bentham praktik perjodohan tersebut bertentangan dengan prinsip kebahagiaan. Sedangkan menurut Abu Zahrah dalam pernikahan harus memenuhi nilai-nilai keadilan dan kemaslahatan. Sehingga dalam impilkasinya, teori utilitarianisme menurut dua tokoh tersebut mendukung perlunya penerapan regulasi yang lebih tegas serta edukasi untuk melindungin hak-hak individu khusunya perempuan. Kata kunci: Perjodohan, Hak Ijbar, Utilitarianisme.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in class VIII respiratory system materials at SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsari. The type of research used is Quasi experimental design with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsari, with the research sample being class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The instrument used in this research is test questions in the form of essays. Data analysis was carried out by hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of the research show that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in class VIII respiratory system material at SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsari, with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.005, means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence. significant impact on the use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Many students struggle to identify pronouns in sentences, a critical aspect of English grammar necessary for constructing clear and coherent communication. Pronouns play a vital role in sentence structure by replacing nouns to avoid redundancy, yet their correct usage poses challenges for learners. This study investigates the proficiency of tenth-grade students at SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa in identifying pronouns in English sentences and explores the specific difficulties they face. The research aimed to evaluate students' ability to recognize different types of pronouns and pinpoint areas requiring instructional support. Adopting a case study methodology, the study collected data from 30 students in class X.1 through a 30-item test consisting of multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions. Results showed that only 41% of the students correctly identified pronouns, with common challenges including confusion in pronoun selection and insufficient understanding of pronoun usage. These findings highlight the need for targeted teaching strategies, such as explicit grammar instruction and contextualized exercises, to enhance students' grammatical competence and overall language proficiency.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, mastering English is crucial for international communication. As English becomes increasingly important, many elementary schools have incorporated it into their curriculum, focusing on vocabulary as the foundation for developing other language skills, such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This study explores the effectiveness of using pictures as a tool to enhance vocabulary acquisition among elementary students. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with a sample of 30 students from a local elementary school. The study found that pictures played a significant role in increasing student engagement, comprehension, and vocabulary retention. Visual aids helped students connect new words to their meanings more easily, reducing misunderstandings and facilitating better learning outcomes. Specifically, pictures improved students' ability to recall vocabulary and made the learning process more enjoyable. These findings suggest that incorporating visual aids into vocabulary instruction can be a highly effective strategy for enhancing language learning in young learners.

Abstract

P enahanan ijazah oleh perusahaan terhadap pekerja merupakan bentuk pelanggran terhadap hak atas kepemilikan pribadi yang dilindungi oleh hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan dan menganalisis keabsahan tindakan penahanan ijazah oleh perusahaan dalam perspektif hukum positif Indonesia, dengan studi kasus PT Sentosa Seal Surabaya. Menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif, penelitian ini menelaah berbagai sumber hukum seperti Undang-undang Ketenagakerjaan, KUHPerdata, Undang-undang Hak Asasi Manusia, serta peraturan daerah dan peraturan menteri,terkait. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tindakan penahanan ijazah oleh perusahaan tidak memiliki dasr hukum dan bertentangan dengan pasal 27 ayat (2) UUD 1945, pasal 1365 KUHPerdata, dan pasal 36 UU No. 39 Tahun 1999. Selain itu, pasal 42 Perda Jawa Timur No 8 Tahun 2016 dan PERMEN No. M/5/HK.04.00/V/2025 secara tegas melarang penahanan dokumen pribadi oleh pemberi kerja. Penehanan ijazah tidak hanya menimbulkan kerugian bagi pekerja secara hukum dan psikologis, tetapi juga menunjukkan ketimpangan dalam hubungan kerja. Oleh karena itu, penguatan pengawasan ketenagakerjaan dan pemahaman hukum bagi pekerja sanagt diperlukan guna mencegah terulangnya praktik yang merugikan tersebut.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the form of maxims violation in “Markobar” activity, review the factors of violations, and identify the main reasons from a socio-pragmatic perspective for cultural education. The research design is descriptive-qualitative approach. The data were obtained from sentences on Markobar activities in the book “Panduan Markobar dalam Budaya Mandailing” comprising 25 texts as well as interviews with participants. Violations of the cooperative principle in the oral tradition of Markobar occur for several reasons, i.e., 1) Flouting maxim. This occurs by expressing gratitude to God and greeting the Prophet Muhammad. Speakers tend to hide things due to cultural factors; 2) Infringing maxim is not found; 3) Opting out of maxim, the speaker is not willing to provide information to the interlocutor in a straightforward manner; 4) Suspending maxim, listener should not expect to hear but the speaker clarifies what he means to make the interlocutor understand. Research in socio-pragmatic studies needs to be carried out to explain its intentions, objectives as a cultural education and revitalization.
