Abstract

PURPOSE - This research aims to explore and elaborate on business development strategies, including product innovation, financial management, and marketing strategies, as well as the socio-economic impact of the MSME "Kripik Rido Susi" in Silo Village, Jember.METHODOLOGY - This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study type. The data in this research were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The validity of the data was tested using method, source, and time triangulation.FINDING - The research results show that the product innovation strategy is carried out through the development of taste, packaging, and size, based on simple market research. Financial management is handled manually but consistently, with daily record-keeping and capital support from personal funds as well as village assistance. The marketing strategy combines conventional approaches (consignment sales at small shops and cooperatives) and digital methods (social media and marketplaces). The existence of these SMEs not only increases the household income of employees but also strengthens the social capital of the community through active participation and pride in local products. These findings affirm that MSMEs based on local potential can be an effective instrument in creating economic independence for rural communities. This research provides empirical contributions to the literature on local economic development and offers a model of empowerment practices that can be replicated in similar regions

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction at Sekar Arum Fruits. The background of the research lies in the importance of maintaining customer satisfaction within the fresh fruit retail sector amid increasingly competitive business conditions. A quantitative approach was employed using descriptive and causal methods. The sample consisted of 96 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The findings show that neither product quality nor service quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, either partially or simultaneously. This is indicated by significance values greater than 0.05 in both the t-test and F-test. The R square value of 0.001 reveals that only 0.1% of the variation in customer satisfaction is explained by the two independent variables, with the remainder influenced by other unexamined factors. These results imply that in the context of Sekar Arum Fruits, factors such as price, store convenience, and promotional strategies may play a more dominant role in shaping customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of learning media in the form of QR code-based flashcards for Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class VII A of SMP IT Al-Ghozali Jember. The background of this study is based on problems in IPS learning, such as material abstraction, lack of media innovation, and minimal interaction between teachers and students. The study used the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, although only up to the development stage. The results of the study indicate that flashcards as visual media can help students understand IPS concepts more easily and interestingly. The developed flashcards not only contain text and images but are also equipped with QR codes that can be accessed via smartphones for additional interactive materials, supporting independent and collaborative learning and increasing student involvement. The validation test of this learning media includes the feasibility of the media and flashcard material as a learning medium. In addition, this study also emphasizes the importance of innovation in learning media to improve the effectiveness of teaching and interaction in the classroom; thus, the development of QR Code-based flashcards is expected to be an alternative solution in improving the quality of IPS learning at the junior high school level.
