Abstract

Abstract Many Indonesian people built a traditional house based on beliefs of their ancestors for generations, without knowing the scientific reason. Meanwhile, indirectly, ancestors already thinking about housing that adapts the environmental conditions such as in Nias Island. Nias is an island that has two different forms of traditional houses which are affected by the differences geographic, highland and lowland. Geographic factors and beliefs not only affect the shape of the house but also the structure of the house. Located on the earthquake fault lines, Nias traditional houses was designed to withstand earthquakes that often befall. A study using description and analysis methods about design and structure which used in traditional houses in Nias Island, would develop a good sense of the idea to apply these materials on modern building to preserve the culture of Indonesia. Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembangunan apartemen di Kota Bandung berkembang, baik dari segi jumlah lantai hingga jumlah tower yang berakibat pada bertambahnya beban hunian, padahal desain apartemen memuat ruang-ruang yang berpotensi sebagai awal nyala api di setiap unitnya. Bertambahnya jumlah lantai berarti meningkatnya jumlah penghuni yang harus mendapatkan keamanan pada kondisi darurat evakuasi kebakaran. Keandalan desain sebuah apartemen menjadi suatu kebutuhan yang harus dipenuhi oleh seorang perencana. Aspek-aspek yang menyangkut keandalan sebuah desain apartemen bagi perencana, dikaji dengan menggunakan metoda analisis deskriptif yang membandingkan kasus desain, terhadap teori dan peraturan yang berlaku tentang pengamanan kebakaran secara pasif maupun aktif. Kajian terhadap Apartemen Gateway Pasteur yang memiliki keunikan bentuk massa dengan beberapa tower menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan jarak bangunan, desain fasad, desain zona ruang dalam, desain sirkulasi baik vertikal dan horizontal adalah aspek keandalan yang perlu mendapat perhatian perencanaan pada saat menyusun konsep desain. Kata kunci : Desain ruang dalam, multi-tower, pengamanan kebakaran. ABSTRACT Apartments growth, both in terms of the number of floors to the number of towers which will increased occupancy load, whereas the design of the apartment contains spaces potentially as fire ignition in each unit. Increasing the numbers of floors means increasing the number of residents who had to get security to emergency fire evacuation. Reliability design of an apartment becomes a necessity that can not be avoided by the planners. In order to know what concerns the reliability of a design apartment for planners, conducted a study using descriptive analysis method that compares the case design, to the theory and regulations. Gateway Pasteur Apartment with a unique form of mass that has several towers, was chosen as a case in point for review. The study is expected to be entered in the planning of an apartment since the early stages of the design process. Keyword : Design space in a multi-mass, fire safety.

Abstract

Abstrak Saat modernisasi menawarkan kemudahan dan kenyamanan hidup yang berdampak pada perusakan lingkungan, masyarakat Kampung Naga memilih untuk mempertahankan kelestarian lingkungan. Tata nilai yang berujung pada keberlanjutan pelestarian lingkungan ini adalah kearifan lokal pada arsitektur Kampung Naga dan berharga untuk dikaji sebagai masukan dalam melakukan perencanaan bagi kehidupan masyarakat modern. Analisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif pada kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal yang memisahkan penataan area dalam pada kontur tertinggi dan area luar pada kontur terendah, sistem penempatan peralatan sumber air bersih pada site berpengaruh pada penataan zoning kampung dan arsitektur bangunan, sedangkan sistem pengolahan dan pembuangan air kotor, serta penyaluran air hujan bersifat melestarikan alam. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan pada penerapan konsep pengolahan dan pemanfaatan elemen air berkelanjutan di perkotaan. Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, elemen air, arsitektur Kampung Naga Abstract When modernization offers convenience and comfort of life that impact on enviromental destruction, Kampung Naga people choose to maintain enviromental sustainability. Values that lead to enviromental sustainability is the preservation of local wisdom in Kampung Naga and architecture to be studied as a valuable input in planning for the life of modern society. Analysis of the descriptive analysis method in this study indicate that local wisdom that separates the arrangement of the inside area the highest contour and the outside area the lowest contour, placement system equipment clean water sources on site affect the zoning arrangement of the village and the architecture of the building, while water treatment and disposal systems dirty, as well as channeling rain water that conserve nature. This study is expected to be input on the application of the concept of processing and utilization of sustainable urban water element. Abstract

Abstrak Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu kota di Indonesia yang memiliki sitem drainase yang kurang baik, sehingga sering mengakibatkan banjir dibeberapa daerah kota yang biasa disebut banjir ‘cileuncang’. Gedung Grha Wiksa Praniti merupakan bangunan yang dibangun PuslitbangKim dan dirancang dengan memperhatikan aspek lingkungan, berdasarkan konsep yang memecahkan masalah air limpasan permukan dengan cara memanfaatkan air hujan sebagai sumber cadangan air bersih di samping sumber PDAM dan Sumur Bor. Konsep yang mendukung lingkungan berkelanjutan ini dapat dijadikan contoh dan diperhatikan oleh perencana sejak tahap awal perencanaan. Guna mengetahui aspek apa saja yang perlu diperhatikan dalam mendesain bangunan  dengan konsep pemanfaatan air berkelanjutan, dilakukan kajian terhadap gedung ini. Metoda kajian analisis deskriptif terhadap teori tentang desain gedung serba guna, pengolahan air hujan, pengolahan air kotor, dan penempatan alat pada desain bangunan dan lahan dibandingkan dengan penerapan. Analisis di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa bangunan dengan konsep desain pengolahan air yang berkelanjutan akan berpengaruh terhadap penataan zona ruang luar dan zona ruang dalam pada sebuah desain bangunan. Abstract Bandung is a city with a poor drainage system , which often results  floods in some areas of the city called ' banjir cileuncang ' . Grha Wiksa Praniti PuslitbangKim built and designed  based on the concept which solves problems surface water runoff by utilizing rainwater as a source of clean water reserve in addition to the PDAM and Drilling taps water . This concept would  be a good example to  support a sustainable environment concept and should be considered by planners since the early stages of planning . A study on Grha Wiksa Praniti conducted to find out  aspects which  needed to be considered in designing a building with the concept of sustainable use of water . Find outs through a  descriptive analysis method which   compares  theory  and application on  designing a multi-purpose building , rain water treatment , sewage treatment , and placement of tools in the design of buildings and site analysis, indicates that building with the concept of sustainable water treatment design will affect the arrangement of  inside out  space zonning in the building design. AbstrakWalaupun kehadiran apartemen lebih mendukung kota bandung sebagai tujuan wisata belanja, namun pembangunannya menunjukan kenaikan yang cukup signifikan akhir-akhir ini.Bangunan Apartemen Buah Batu Park Bandung yang diklasifikasi sebagai tipe B berdasarkan KEPMEN PU No. 02/KPTS/1985 tentang ketentuan pencegahan dan penangulangan kebakaran pada bangunan gedung, dilengkapi ruang dapur disetiap unitnya, selain dapur shaft dan ruang pendukung peralatan utilitas berpotensi sebagai zona rawan penyalaan titik api.Keputusan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum no 11 tahun 2000 menentukan bahwa setiap bangunan wajib menyusun manajemen kebakaran pasca huni.Melalui kajian yang menggunakan metoda deskriptif analisis ini dipahami bahwa desain zona rawan api baik secara horizontal dan vertikal perlu dipertimbangkan, ditinjau dari kemudahan penjalaran api dan usaha penghuni untuk melalukan evakuasi.Desain sirkulasi, proteksi kesiapan sarana dan prasarana kebakaran adalah aspek yang perlu disiapkan untuk mendukung keberhasilan manajemen pengelolaan kebakaran pasca huni pada desain Apartmen Buah Batu Park Bandung.Kesiapan bangunan dalam menghadapi bahaya kebakaran tidak hanya dilakukan pada awal desain dan pelaksanaan saja, namun juga pada tahap pasca huni.Dengan demikian sekalipun masih terdapat kekurangan dalam aspek desain, bangunan masih dapat dihuni serta memberi keamanan pada peghuni melalui manajemen kebakaran.Kata kunci : Desain Sirkulasi, Ruang Dalam, Sarana Evakuasi, Alat Pengamanan AbstractEven though apartement buildings in Bandung proved to be beneficial to Bandung’s status as a shopping destination haven, the number is still growing significantly. Buah Batu park apartment building is classified as a type b apartment based on KEPMEN PU No. 02/KPTS/1985 a regulations on fire prevention and countermeasures in tall buildings. Apaetement design is fully furnished with kitchen appliances in each units, mean while the kitchen, shaft room and other utility rooms are all fire hazard potential. KEPMEN PU No. 11 2000 states that every building must have a post occupancy fire management.Through the descriptive analysis method it was proved that fire hazard zones design, both horizontally and vertically needs to be considered to prevent fire spread and in order to facilitate inhabitant egress.Circulation design inside the building as means of egress, fire protection system including infrastructure system are important aspecs to support post occupancy fire management of the building.The building’s readiness to fire hazards needs to be considered at design process, construction and post occupancy stage, that even though there are still some minor flaws in terms of design, the building would still saved to be occupied.Key Word : Design Circulation, Protection System, Fire Management

Abstract

Abstrak Museum Batik Jakarta merupakan wadah untuk menyajikan secara visual karya seni budaya batik serta memberikan informasi mengenai sejarah perkembangan batik. Kegiatan yang diwadahi ialah Edukasi & Informasi, Konvensi, Rekreasi, Retail, dengan fasilitas Museum & Konvensi (Ruang pamer, Konvensi, Perpustakaan & Studi, Workshop, Konservasi & Preservasi) dan Pendukung (Cafe, Galeri/batik store, Gift shop, Amphitheater). Sebagai wadah karya kerajinan batik di era sekarang yang berkaitannya dengan aktivitas pengoleksian, mengkonservasi, meriset, mengkomunikasikan dan memamerkan, melibatkan teknologi sebagai sarana penyampaian informasi yang menggunakan sumber daya yang tidak sedikit. Konsep Bangunan Hemat Energi merupakan respon terhadap penghematan energi serta pemanfaatan energi yang tersedia di lingkungan. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi kombinasi pencahayaan alami dan buatan, kombinasi penghawaan alami dan buatan, implementasi building automation system, penggunaan solar panel, penerapan secondary skin. Activities are Education & Information, Convention, Recreation, Retail, Museums & Convention (showrooms, convention, Library & Study, Workshop, Conservation & Preservation) and supporting facilities (Cafe, Gallery / batik store, gift shop, Amphitheater) . As a place of batik works in the present era (modern / digital) with the activities of collecting, conserving, researching, communicating and exhibiting, involving technology as a tool to deliver information which is using large resources. The concept of Energy Efficient Buildings is a response to energy savings and utilization of the available energy in the environment. Strategies includes a combination of natural & artificial lighting, a combination of natural & artificial air-conditioning, implementation of building automation system, solar panels, the application of a secondary skin. Abstract

Alih fungsi hingga renovasi bangunan mewarnai maraknya pembangunan pusat perbelanjaan di kota wisata belanja Bandung. Pasar Baru, sebuah pasar tradisional tertua di Bandung. yang pada mulanya dibangun horizontal diubah menjadi pasar vertikal modern. Beragamnya komoditi jualan, tersebarnya gerai masakan diantara komoditi kering menjadikan bangunan ini rawan bahaya kebakaran, sehinggapengguna harus secepatnya meninggalkan bangunan. Kenyataannya sirkulasi ruang dalam pasar yang digunakan sehari hari adalah sirkulasi yang digunakan juga sebagai sirkulasi evakuasi, sehingga sirkulasi dan tatanan zona dalam sebuah pasar perlu dipersiapkan dengan baik sejak tahap awal perencanaan. Guna mendapatkan wawasan penataan sirkulasi dan zona pasar yang baik, perlu dilakukan kajian terhadapdesain pasar. Pasarbaru Trade Centre menjadi objek studi kasus yang menarik untuk dikaji karena dibangun secara vertikal. Kajian dengan metoda analisis deskriptif terhadap data lapangan yang diperoleh dan literatur terkait, menunjukan bahwa desain sirkulasi ruang dalam pasar sehari-hari harus juga dapat digunakan sebagai jalur evakuasi kebakaran yang aman .Bandung known as a shopping city builds many malls in recent years. Old buidings were renovated or even more refunctioned to a shop or factory outlets. One of its popular old building was the Pasar Baru. An old traditional horizontal market place change into a modern vertical market. Food retails placedamong a various combustible commodity could be a point where a fire ignites. People in a shopping activities should be evacuated out of the building immediately through its corridors. Therefore circulation schemes as a path of travel and zonning inside the building should be carefully designed even from theearly stage of design concept . A study on Pasarbaru Trade Centre using descriptive analysis was developed to get an over view about planning a circulation schemes on a vertical modern market building that will serve as a reference to those engaged on building design. Since most of the building contains combustable commodity on each floor, passage way of egress should be safe to run through .

Abstract

ABSTRACT : The grandeur of the old buildings is relics of the Dutch colonial time, which still stands in Bandung city which leads us to the heyday of the city's achievements history. A city that was once proposed to be the capital of the Dutch East Indies to replace Batavia gets the interest of famous Dutch architects to come and work in this city. The results of the architects' innovation, enrich as a real dictionary of the architectural style of the past. Today these buildings have to face the challenges of the age, the inability of the owner to finance the maintenance, being moved to the hand of investors who are not responsible to the value of the past, and the lack of public interest since the modern building is more preferred and lack of government regulation as well.  To get an idea of how a private -controlled building being preserved, a building at Wastukencana 40 Bandung which listed into the 99 historic buildings in the City Center area according to the Spatial Plan Regulations is taken as a case to be studied. This study shows that real action and sympathetic socialisation were needed to preserve a heritage building. Keywords : adaptive reuse, conservation, historic building, process

Abstract

Review on structure behaviour and visual appearance of a building is needed in generating creativity in the making of an architectural design. The use of any specific structure software will facilitate this in the process. This research aims to prove the effectiveness with which designers can compose alternative forms of architectural appearance through the use of the software. One of the tools in the creative process used in the exploration of 2-dimensional frame structures is DR FRAME. The observations were carried in the Structure and Construction IV Studio at Itenas Architecture Study Program Bandung through a digital simulation using DR. FRAME software demo version. Several students are invited to explore various forms of wide-span truss structures at the level of unified integration. The results through the program execution show various diagrams which can be implemented in the design of the form and the type of structural components. DR.FRAME software enriches ideas in the wide-span structure design which provides an understanding of the relationship between structural behaviour and the appearance of architectural design. The use of other supporting software is supposed to be applied as an alternative search for various structural design ideas for architecture students
