Abstract

Background: incidence of emergency case in community increase quickly. The (Community First Responders) CFR competence in implementing emergency algorythm as the first responder out of hospital is very important.Purpose: to discribe the CFR competence in implementing emergency algorythm after following simulation training.Methods: pre experimental without control group design with was chosen with the pre and post-test conducted on February 2021 to CFR in Surakarta Central Java, Indonesia. This study used consecutive sample of 222 CFR. The CFR was asked to fulfill questioner before and after following simulation training. Data were analyzed using paired t test.Results: there are improvements in the 8 basic skills of basic emergency assistance obtained by CFRs after participating in the CFR simulation. The increase in competence is not only in the number of members at a moderate level but also from a moderate level to the highest level.Conclusion: training through simulation is one of the most effective ways to increase the competence of CFR members so that they have adequate capacity as the frontline for help to minimize the risk of death and disability as long as they have not received definitive care in the hospital.

Abstract

Instalasi Gawat Darurat telah memainkan peran penting selama pandemi COVID-19 karena Instalasi Gawat Darurat merupakan garda terdepan dalam menentukan kebutuhan perawatan kritis dan memberikan perawatan darurat. National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS2) dikembangkan untuk membakukan pengukuran dan evaluasi parameter fisiologis pada pasien yang sakit parah. Tujuan: Menganalisis artikel yang berkaitan dengan Penerapan National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS2) untuk mengidentifikasi penurunan kondisi pasien Covid-19 Di Ruang IGD. Desain penelitian ini adalah literature review. Metode: Literature review ini menggunakan artikel yang telah dipublikasikan secara online. Database yang digunakan adalah Google Scholar, Pubmed dan Research Gate. Kata kunci yang digunakan dalam pencarian adalah “NEWS2” “Covid-19” dan “Emergency Installation (IGD)” dengan menggunakan kata hubung “AND” untuk mencari artikel yang relevan. Hasil: Dari 8 artikel yang digunakan dalam studi literatur ini menunjukkan bahwa National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS2) sangat efektif untuk mengidentifikasi penurunan kondisi pasien COVID-19. NEWS2 juga bisa digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penyakit kritis lainya

Abstract

Preterm labor is labor that occurs when the gestational age is less than 37 weeks so that it can result in respiratory distress syndrome. One of the signs and symptoms is a decrease in oxygen saturation. If the oxygen saturation is low, it can cause reduced tissue oxygen. One way to increase oxygen saturation in premature babies is the prone position. This Literature Review discusses the increase in oxygen saturation in premature infants who are given the prone position. This research uses a literature review study with a search strategy using the PICOS framework in the pubMed, researchgate, garuda, and google scholar databases in the 2018-2023 timeframe. The results of the ten articles analyzed were the duration of the pronation position between 1-3 hours with monitoring of oxygen saturation in the first and second 10 to 60 minutes. There is an effect of the prone position on increasing oxygen saturation in premature infants with a significance value of p<0.05. The average oxygen saturation of premature babies after being given a prone position has increased by 94% -99%. There is an increase in oxygen saturation in premature infants after the prone position is performed.

Abstract

The design of this study was a qualitative case study. The inclusion criteria were students with a positive risk of suicide and high scores at the screening phase. Data were obtained by semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically using the Colaizzi method. This study showed that the exploration of the risk factors for suicidal thoughts consisted of two themes, eight sub-themes, 25 categories, and 50 keywords. Two themes are suicide, and spiritual. Eight sub-themes namely Causes, Response to problems, Family attitude, Efforts that have been made, Obstacle factors, Supporting factors, Meaning of the problem faced, A feeling that arose spiritually. The risk factors for suicidal thoughts among students in Surakarta are that they have no interest in entering higher education, have difficulty in attending lectures, disappointing academic scores, broken home families, problems with a partner, financial issues, sadness, and disappointment in God, and they face problems repeatedly

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities require additional support in understanding sexual and reproductive health due to decision-making challenges and limited educational and socio-cultural support. This study explored teachers’ challenges and strategies in delivering such education. A qualitative descriptive design was conducted in a special school involving five teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs) and analyzed using inductive content analysis. Five themes revealed challenges in managing sexual behaviors that were not aligned with cognitive development. Teachers implemented habituation, experience-based learning, and counseling to support understanding of bodily changes, social norms, and self-regulation during puberty, supported by collaboration among schools, parents, and health professionals. These findings highlight the importance of adaptive and collaborative approaches. Schools should integrate experience-based learning and strengthen partnerships with families and health professionals. Anak dengan disabilitas intelektual membutuhkan dukungan tambahan dalam memahami kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi akibat keterbatasan dalam pengambilan keputusan serta dukungan sistem pendidikan dan sosial-budaya yang masih terbatas. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi tantangan dan strategi guru dalam memberikan edukasi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif di Sekolah Luar Biasa dengan lima guru yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD) dan dianalisis menggunakan inductive content analysis. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lima tema yang menunjukkan tantangan dalam mengelola perilaku seksual yang tidak sejalan dengan perkembangan kognitif. Guru menerapkan strategi berupa pembiasaan, pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, dan konseling untuk mendukung pemahaman perubahan tubuh, norma sosial, serta pengaturan diri selama pubertas, melalui kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan tenaga kesehatan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan yang adaptif dan kolaboratif. Sekolah perlu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman serta memperkuat kemitraan dengan keluarga dan tenaga kesehatan.
