Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas syal menggunakan benang katun dengan teknik crochet. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling sebesar 52 mahasiswa. Variabel penelitian menggunakan variabel tunggal yaitu kualitas syal. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar pengamatan produk. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif persentase. Hasil keseluruhan penelitian oleh panelis yaitu syal persegi memperoleh hasil 87,58%, syal persegi panjang memperoleh hasil 87,42%, syal segitiga memperoleh hasil 87,48%. Simpulan hasil penelitian yaitu kualitas hasil syal menggunakan benang katun dengan teknik crochet termasuk dalam kriteria sangat tinggi, sehingga ketiga produk syal dinyatakan berkualitas. Saran dari penelitian ini yaitu indikator bahan memiliki persentase paling rendah dibandingkan dengan indikator lainnya, untuk penelitian selanjutnya perlu diperhatikan penggunaan benang yang lebih sesuai dengan produk yang dihasilkan serta memperhatikan jenis tusuk yang digunakan, untuk penelitian selanjutnya sebaiknya menggunakan tusuk yang lebih bervariasi agar menambah nilai estetika produk.

Abstract

The objective of this Community Service Program (PkM) is to enhance the skills in creating ecoprinting products using the pounding technique for small business owners or novice entrepreneurs, specifically the PKK women’s group in Bangunjiwo Village, Bantul. This program involves twenty participants and a ten-member organizing committee from UNY's Vocational Faculty's Fashion Design Study Program, including five lecturers and five students. The stages of the PkM activities include needs analysis, preparation, implementation, and evaluation, conducted from March to June 2023. The outcomes of the PkM activities indicate that the feedback from the ecoprinting instructors using the pounding technique averaged 4.2 out of 5.0, categorized as good. The increase in participants' knowledge was obtained with an average N-gain value of 0.56 (56.27%) which was categorized as quite effective. The creativity of the products produced had an average score of 84.5 out of 100. Specific skills that need to be considered to produce high-quality products include recognizing the characteristics and experimental treatment of certain leaves, the type of surface of the pounding tool, the position, and accuracy on the stem and vein ends of the leaves, fabric dyeing strategies, and the patterns produced, as well as drying the fabric naturally or by air-drying. Another important aspect is the creativity in arranging leaves to achieve high artistic value and meaningful aesthetics. The quality of ecoprinting products using the pounding technique requires repeated training and experimentation to produce varied colors from leaf pigments and to select leaves with unique and interesting patterns.

Abstract

Developing the world of creative industries requires humane and creative human resources (HR). Educational institutions have a strategic role in developing creative human resources through learning that facilitates students to be active, wise, and collaborative. Therefore, it is necessary to implement project-based collaborative learning in learning activities, especially learning competencies related to the creative industry; one is about dyeing cloth with the popular tie-dye technique. This study was conducted at SMK N 1 Pengasih in the Fashion Design expertise program, using a project-based collaborative learning direct learning approach. The steps are; need assessment, learning preparation, tool and material preparation, learning implementation, and evaluation. The learning activity was declared successful because the number of targets present reached 100% with an activity level of 90%. The level of participation or activity in the learning process is grouped in the high category, namely 80%. This activity has a good impact and benefits students if the score is 80%. The evaluation design for increasing knowledge and skills was determined by the service team, as seen from the results of the tie-dye shirt product, with a score of 80% in the "good" category.

Abstract

Batik product marketing techniques are essential to the sustainability of an MSME in Kulon Progo. Various media can be used as a means of marketing. Based on previous research in 2021, the branding media used in the category is quite good, so there is a need to improve and develop the branding media used. This research aims to: (1) design the development of Sembung Batik branding media through an account on Shopee; and (2) Test the feasibility of developing Sembung Batik branding media through an account on Shopee. The research was carried out at Batik Sembung Kulon Progo. This type of research is development research using a 4D model and a quantitative descriptive approach. 4D Design comprises the definition, design, development, and dissemination stages. Three expert lecturers carried out the feasibility test. This research is to: (1). design the development of Sembung Batik branding media through an account on Shopee, which consists of four stages: the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the disseminated stage, which is carried out 3 Shopee live times; and (2). the feasibility level of developing Sembung Batik branding media through an account on Shopee is very suitable for use based on the opinions of 3 experts. Based on this research, the development of branding media using live streaming can be implemented for other branding media so that it can have an impact on MSME branding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pendapat mahasiswa Program Studi Tata Busana Program Sarjana Terapan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Angkatan 2021 terhadap video konstruksi pola. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian survei dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Tata Busana Program Sarjana Terapan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Angkatan 2021. Data yang sudah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dan dikategorikan menggunakan skala interval data yakni Sangat Baik, Baik, dan Tidak Baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) persepsi mahasiswa terhadap media video dalam kategori baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran, (2) persepsi mahasiswa terhadap materi video dalam kategori sangat baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran, dan (3) persepsi mahasiswa terhadap video dalam kategori sangat baik digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa video pembelajaran konstruksi pola dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa agar dapat digunakan sesuai dengan kemampuan mahasiswa serta memudahkan mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tahapan pembuatan konstruksi pola.
