Abstract

As lithium battery technology improves, it becomes more important to have solid polymer electrolyte dividers that work better. The objective of this study is to enhance the efficiency of solid polymer electrolyte separators in lithium batteries. This research aims to expand the limits of innovation in hybrid separator development by utilizing empty palm fruit bunches (OPFEB) as a plentiful source of cellulose acetate. This approach enhances ion transfer by increasing the number of pores in the separator. However, there are challenges to achieving the desired levels of optimal ionic conductivity. In order to address these constraints, this study presents a novel Al2O3-PAA inert ceramic oxide coating treatment that is applied to the separator by a spin coating technique. An electron microscope was utilized to observe the pore structure of the separator. Additionally, the separator underwent physical, mechanical, thermal, and cyclic voltammetry tests. The findings of this research indicate a significant increase in the physical properties, particularly the porosity and mechanical strength. The thermal shrinkage of the Al2O3-PAA coated separator is below 10% when exposed to a temperature of 140 oC for 30 minutes. The Cyclic Voltammetry test results demonstrate a pronounced loop curve, indicating an improvement in the ionic conductivity of the Al2O3-PAA coated separator. The findings of this study provide a method to enhance the efficiency of  separator performance at high temperatures while maintaining safety and long battery life.

Abstract

limbah hasil produksi keripik nangka selama ini berdasarkan hasil survei tim ppk ormawa HIMAKI umumnya tidak dioptimalkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat desa, salah satunya ada di Desa Kualu Nenas. Oleh karena itu kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan melatih keterampilan masyarakat desa bagaimana mengolah limbah kulit nangka dan menjadikannya salah satu produk UMKM Desa. Salah satu produk yang bisa dibuat dari limbah kulit nangka adalah pupuk kompos. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan melakukan pelatihan dan bimbingan teknis pembuatan pupuk dari limbah kulit Nangka dan pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan di Desa Kualu Nenas. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat dan mitra desa dapat memproduksi pupuk kompos dan produk dapat dikembangkan menjadi salah satu produk UMKM Desa Kualu Nenas.

Abstract

Palm mistletoe leaves (Ficus heteropluera Blume) are a plant that is effective as an antibacterial medicine. Palm mistletoe leaves contain antibacterial compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, sapoins and phenolics. One alternative to reduce fouling is adding an anti-bifouling agent to the membrane. This research aims to determine the phytochemical test on oil palm mistletoe leaf extract, to see the antibacterial inhibition zone of Escherichia coli and determine the characteristics of thickness and biodegradation, as well as the antibiofouling properties of natural ingredients, namely oil palm mistletoe leaves. The addition of palm mistletoe leaf extract had concentrations of (4:0), (3.96:0.04), and (3.92:0.08) grams. For the antibacterial results obtained by adding a membrane to the additive, namely palm mistletoe leaves, namely variation 1, has an average diameter of 4.73 mm, 4.3 mm and 4.33 mm. The positive control concentration had an average diameter of 38.3 mm. In variation 2 the measurement results do not show the existence of an inhibition zone. The measurement results of the positive control had an average diameter of 38.367 mm. For membrane thickness testing, namely 0.03 mm, 0.06 mm, and 0.06 mm, and the highest biodegradation test was found in the variation of adding 0.08 gram extract, namely 56% and the lowest biodegradation value was in the variation of adding 0.04 gram extract namely 35%.

Abstract

Ficus heteropleura Blume, commonly known as mistletoe on oil palm, is a semi-parasitic plant that grows on oil palm trees. This study aimed to investigate the secondary metabolite profile, determine of total phenolic content, and evaluate antibacterial activity of ethyl acetate extract of F. heteropleura leaves. Extraction was performed using a grade maceration method. Qualitative phytochemical screening was conducted to identify major classes of secondary metabolites, and total phenolic content was quantitatively determined using the Folin–Ciocalteu method with gallic acid as the standard. Ethyl acetate extraction yielded 19.27 g of crude extract. Phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of steroids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. The total phenolic content was determined to be 35.730 mg GAE/g. UV-Vis spectrophotometric analysis showed characteristic absorption peaks at 475.0 nm and 432.8 nm, indicating the presence of phenolic pigments with conjugated C=O groups and a peak at 666.3 nm associated with chlorophyll, contributing to the green coloration. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of functional groups such as O–H, C≡C, C=O, C=C, and C–O. Antibacterial activity demonstrated that the ethyl acetate extract exhibited strong inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, with average inhibition zone diameters ranging from 5 to 10 mm, indicating strong antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Pandemik Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap tatanan kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat global, termasuk masyarakat di Desa Suka Ramai, Kec. Tapung, Kab, Kampar. Tingginya harga obat-obatan termasuk kosmetik, krisis ekonomi yang belum juga berangsur pulih menimbulkan depresi bagi masyarakat, terutama bagi Ibu-ibu. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan pemberdayaan berupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan bagi Ibu-ibu PKK, kader posyandu dan remaja putri untuk memproduksi sendiri produk facemist multiguna untuk kesehatan dan kecantikan. Dibidang Kesehatan produk ini bersifat antidepresan dan kecantikan memberikan kesegaran, bersifat sebagai antioksidan, antiaging dan mengurangi jerawat pada wajah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring dengan protokol kesehatan yang ketat. Kegiatan terlaksana dengan baik, terlihat dengan antusias peserta akan materi-materi pelatihan, jumlah peserta yang tidak berubah dari awal kegiatan sampai selesai. Dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan produk facemist “ESM” yang diproduksi oleh peserta pelatihan. Ibu-ibu PKK dan Bapak Kepala Desa Suka Ramai, sangat berterima ksih atas terlaksananya kegiatan di Desa mereka dan berharap akan ada kegiatan lain yang juga dilaksanakan di Desa tersebut.

Abstract

Saat ini banyak sekolah tingkat SLTA se-Provinsi Riau dan sekitarnya tidak memiliki pranata laboratorium pendidikan yang berkompeten dibidangnya. Hal ini menyebabkan banyak sekolah yang memiliki laboratorium tapi tidak digunakan secara maksimal, dan siswa siswi tidak dapat melaksanakan praktikum yang semestinya di laboratorium. Laboratorium hanya menjadi tempat pajangan alat peraga dan instrumentasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kami merasa perlu memfasilitasi para pranata laboratorium pendidikan dengan memberikan pelatihan pengelolaan dan penggunaan laboratorium untuk praktikum siswa siswi di sekolah. Sehingga dihasilkan lulusan yang berkompeten. Kegiatan dirancang dalam bentuk pengembangan wawasan keilmuan melalui pemberian berbagai teori selama 2 hari dan dilanjutkan dengan praktik dan penugasan pada 2 hari berikutnya. Materi yang diberikan kepada peserta diantaranya tentang inovasi hasil penelitian, pengenalan dan pengelolaan laboratorium, praktikum ciri-ciri reaksi kimia, hokum kekekalan massa, reaksi zat makanan. pemahaman dan kemampuan guru terhadap materi pelatihan, yang nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam melaksanakan praktikum di laboratorium sekolah. Kegiatan workshop ini mendapat sambutan yang baik dari peserta dan berhasil dengan baik. Keadaan ini dapat dilihat dari kehadiran peserta yang hampir mencapai 100%. Peserta terdiri guru dan pranata laboratrium pendidikan ingkat SLTA se-Provinsi Riau.

Abstract

Kualu Nenas Village is a village that produces quite a lot of jackfruit flesh in the form of chips for sale. UMKM that process jackfruit as the main ingredient will have an impact on the amount of easily damaged organic solid waste from the jackfruit itself, such as jackfruit seeds. However, in processing jackfruit seeds are more often just boiled or fried as a snack. One way to process jackfruit seed waste is to make nuggets. Socialization and nugget making training activities were carried out in Kualu Nenas Village with the PPK Ormawa HIMAKI team. The aim of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills for the people of Kualu Nenas Village in processing waste, optimizing natural resources, and improving the community's economy by selling jackfruit seed nuggets. The activity began with a presentation through socialization of material about waste jackfruit seeds and nuggets in general, then continued with practical training in making nuggets from waste jackfruit seeds. The results obtained from this community service activity are that the community can understand the techniques for processing jackfruit seed waste into nuggets well as shown by the achievement percentage ≤ 74%.

Abstract

Butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea) is a plant that provides various health benefits due to its pharmacologically active compounds. Nevertheless, the community’s limited knowledge and skills in utilizing and processing butterfly pea into herbal tea bags underline the importance of this community service activity. Processing butterfly pea into herbal tea serves as an effective approach to make its health benefits more accessible for daily use. This program aimed to enhance community knowledge about the health properties of butterfly pea, improve their skills in producing herbal tea bags, and encourage its development as a household-scale product with market potential, given its simple and low-cost processing method. The target beneficiaries were residents of Dayang Suri Village, Bunga Raya Subdistrict, Siak Regency with 55 participants. Program achievements were measured by determining the increased knowledge and skills in processing butterfly pea into herbal tea bags, as well as growing interest in its commercialization. Pre- and post-test results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ average scores from 45% to 87%, with a statistically significant paired t-test result (α=0.05).
