Abstract

Abstract This research aims to find out the increase student learning outcomes on the subject of hidrocarbon with the application of active learning type of Group to Group Exchange (GGE) of grade X at Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. This type of research is experimental research with data retrieval time from the date of 18 May to 1 June 2013. The samples in this research are students of class X2 as experimental class and class X1 as control class selected after conducting test of homogeneity. Techniques of data collection in this research was to test the homogeneity as initial data on the material previously, documentation, observations, pretest and posttest as final data. Final data analysis in this research using test "t". From the calculations, t count = 4.59 at significant level of 5% obtained t table = 1.66, showing that t count≥ t table so that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. The magnitude of the average normalized gain <N-GAIN> student learning outcomes experimental class was 0.75 which includes high category, and for the control class is 0.70 which included a middle category. Based on the results of these data analysis, it is concluded that an increase in learning outcomes on the subject of hidrocarbon with the application of active learning type of Group to Group Exchange (GGE) of grade X at Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. Abstract

Vitamin C is one of the vitamins that the body needs to increase immunity in warding off all forms of disease. One of the fruits that contain vitamin C is srikaya fruit. Srikaya fruit is a plant belonging to the genus Annona originating from the tropics. Srikaya fruit is analyzed for its vitamin C content in order to increase the immunity of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is a laboratory experiment with the iodometric method. The result is that srikaya fruit contains a fairly high amount of vitamin C, with the average vitamin C levels in the srikaya fruit sample being 2.58%, 2.503% and 2.66%, respectively, while the average vitamin C content in the srikaya fruit sample is 2.581%. And during this pandemic, we should consume a lot of food and fruit with vitamin C to increase the body's immunity, so that it can be developed to the next stage of further and more effective research.

Abstract

Abstract: Blood clam (Anadara granosa) shells has the potential to be developed as a base heterogeneous catalysts for biodiesel production. Blood clam (Anadara granosa) shells has a high mineral content of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). CaCO3 can be decomposed into CaO at high temperature heating. In this study, CaO catalyst synthesized from the blood clam (Anadara granosa) shells calcined of 900 °C for 10 hours and then impregnated using NaOH (1, 3, and 5% w/w) the activation temperature of 600 °C for 5 hours. 3% Na/CaO catalyst was the most better catalyst with maximum biodiesel results obtained at 83,57% using the 3% Na/CaO catalyst. The maximum conditions obtained from biodiesel production using the 3% Na/CaO catalyst on the reaction temperature at 60 °C, the reaction time of 3.5 hours, stirring speed of 250 rpm, 3 g weight of catalyst, and the mole ratio of oil: methanol 1: 6.Keywords: Biodiesel, Transesterification, Blood clam shells, Heterogeneous base catalystReceived: 29 September 2019; Accepted: 2 December 2019; Published: 15 January 2020

Abstract

Limbah cangkang bekicot (Achatina fulica) memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai sumber Kalsium Oksida (CaO). Limbah cangkang bekicot (Achatina fulica) memiliki kandungan mineral kalsium karbonat (CaCO3) yang tinggi. CaCO3 dapat didekomposisi menjadi CaO pada pemanasan suhu tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini, CaO disintesis dari Limbah cangkang bekicot (Achatina fulica) dikalsinasi 900 °C selama 10 jam (LCB-900-10) dan kemudian CaO yang dihasilkan dari proses kalsinasi dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) dan XRay Fluorocense (XRF). Dari hasil difraktogram XRD senyawa CaO dari LCB-900-10 terdapat puncak lime yang berturut-turut beserta nilai intensitas relatif yang cukup besar di antaranya adalah pada 2θ = 32,1767°(37,9%); 37,3224°(100%); 53,8253°(55,42%); 64,1206° (15,76%); 67,3433° (16,32%); 79,6249° (5,08%); 84,7873° (0,22%); 88,4925° (5,35%); 91,4306° (14,88%), dengan kandungan CaO dilihat dari karakterisasi menggunakan XRF sebesar 98,629%.Limbah cangkang bekicot (Achatina fulica) memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai sumber Kalsium Oksida (CaO). Abstract

This research aims to find out the increase student learning outcomes on the subject of solubility and solubility product through the application of cooperative learning type of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) of grade XI science at Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. This type of research is experimental research with data retrieval time from the date of 18 May to 1 June 2013. The samples in this research are students of class XI IPA2 as experimental class and class XI IPA1 as control class selected after conducting test of homogeneity. Techniques of data collection in this research was to test the homogeneity as initial data on the material previously ie Salt Hydrolysis, documentation, observations, pretest and posttest as final data. Final data analysis in this research using test "t". From the calculations, t count = 4.59 at significant level of 5% obtained t table = 1.66, showing that t count≥ t table so that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. The magnitude of the average normalized gain <N-GAIN> student learning outcomes experimental class was 0.75 which includes high category, and for the control class is 0.70 which included a middle category. Abstract

Reaksi transesterifikasi merupakan reaksi yang dipergunakan untuk produksi biodiesel. CaO diperlukan sebagai katalis untuk reaksi transesterifikasi. Pada penelitian ini, katalis CaO dihasilkan dari kalsinasi limbah cangkang Bekicot (Achatina fulica) pada suhu 900 oC selama 10 jam. Kalsinasi pada suhu tinggi digunakan untuk merubah senyawa CaCO3 menjadi senyawa CaO. Produksi biodiesel menggunakan katalis CaO dilakukan pada rasio mol minyak: metanol 1:6, 3 g berat katalis, suhu reaksi 60 °C, waktu reaksi 3.5 jam dan kecepatan 250 rpm dengan hasil biodiesel yang diperoleh terdiri dari 100% metil ester.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and the feasibility of developing a pocket book on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials in State High School 1 Logas Tanah Darat. This research using research and development method with and development (R&D) with a 4D development model that includes the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Data collection instruments used are through media expert validation sheets, material expert validation sheet, linguits expert validation sheet and a student response validation sheet. The data analysis technique used which is calculating the validation assessment percentage score. The results showed that the interactive learning media a pocket book that was developed fulfilled the valid categories of by media expert of 89,44%, materiall experts of 88,88%, and linguist expert of 89,28%. This learning media also fulfills a valid category which students can use with persentage of 90,56%

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility of developing an android-based chemical educational game media for nomenclature of hydrocarbon compounds. In this study using validators, namely material experts, media experts and students. This type of research is R&D development research (Research and Development) with the development process referring to the 4D development model. The data collection instrument used in the form of a validation sheet which has 5 rating scales, namely (1) not good (2) not good (3) quite good (4) good and (5) very good. The data analysis technique used is by calculating the percentage score of the validation assessment. The results showed that the percentage of material experts was 96.11% valid category, the percentage of media experts was 88.51% valid category and students showed a percentage of 91.63% valid category. Based on this assessment, an android-based chemical educational game for nomenclature of hydrocarbon compounds is very feasible to use.

Abstract

Biodiesel can be production from waste cooking oil catalyzed by base heterogeneous catalysts. One type of heterogeneous base catalyst is CaO. CaO can be produced from mollusc animal waste, one of which is snail shell waste (Achatina fulica). The main constituent of snail shell waste (Achatina fulica) is a calcium oxide compound (CaCO3) which can be decomposed into CaO at high temperatures. In this study, a temperature of  900 oC for 10 hours was used to convert CaCO3 compounds into CaO compounds. Biodiesel production using CaO catalyst on the mole ratio of oil: methanol 1: 6, 3 g weight of catalyst, the reaction temperature at 60 °C, the reaction time of 3.5 hours, and stirring speed of 250 rpm with biodiesel results obtained at 84,28%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Student Worksheet (LKPD) Based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in chemistry learning, the subject of chemical reaction equation which is valid based on validation of material experts, validation of linguists, validation of media experts and validation of student responses. This type of research is Research and development with the 4-D model. The data collection instrument used was a validation sheet. The data analysis technique used is by calculating the percentage score of the validation assessment. The results showed that the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) that was developed fulfilled the valid category of 3 material experts, namely 88,76%, 3 media experts 89,05%, 1 linguist which was 94,92%. This learning media also fulfills the valid category which students can use it with 98,56%. Based on this assessment, student worksheet besed problem based learning on chemical reaction equation material are very suitable for use.
