Basic growth that takes place from toddler to preschool will affect the development and growth of the child then. LBW babies can affect growth because since the womb, they have experienced intrauterine growth retardation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between birth weight and growth in toddlers at PMB Nurvita Sari, South OKU Simpang Campang Village in 2020. This study used a cross sectional research design. The researcher used total sampling to take a sample. The results obtained from 50 respondents who were born normally as many as 42 respondents (84%), and LBW by 8 respondents (16%). And of the 50 baby respondents who experienced normal growth as many as 34 respondents (68%) and not normal as many as 16 respondents (32%). The results of the study on the relationship between birth weight and body weight / height (BB/TB) showed a p value of 0.900> 0.05, it means that there was no significant relationship between birth weight and body weight / height (BB/TB). The relationship between birth weight and height / age (TB/U) showed a p value of 0.079> 0.05, meaning that there was no significant relationship between birth weight and height for age (height / age). And the relationship between birth weight and growth shows a p value of 0.716> 0.05, which means that there was no significant relationship between birth weight and growth in toddlers. So the conclusion of this study is there was no relationship between birth weight and growth in toddlers. In this study, the secondary data did not contain head circumference data, so it is hoped that the health workers at PMB Nurvita Sari will better understand the importance of the head circumference indicator, so that growth monitoring in children can be monitored effectively.

This study aims to determine the effect of halal certification labels on the sale of culinary products in Palembang. Furthermore, this study also wants to know the competitiveness of business actors who have halal certification in Palembang. In addition, to determine the perception of non-Muslim tourists on halal product certification in Palembang. This type of study is empirical research. The questionnaire method was used to obtain research data. The data obtained in this study refer to the problem hypothesis testing. Bivariate linear regression was used as a test tool on the halal label variable to predict an increase in sales and competitiveness and was calculated by SPSS 22. At the same time, explanatory sequential design as a qualitative analysis method is obtained from the description of the questionnaire data. It is used to explain non-Muslim perceptions of halal products. The results of this study indicate several conclusions. First, the sale of culinary products has increased positively with the existence of halal certification labels. In this case, halal certification labels affect the sale of culinary products in Palembang is 19.1%. Second, the competitiveness of business actors has increased positively with halal certification labels. In this case, halal certification labels affect the competitiveness of business actors in Palembang is 8.2%. Third, most non-Muslim tourists have a good perception of the halalness of culinary products in Palembang. In this case, 94.31% of respondents have a good perception of the halalness of a culinary product. Meanwhile, 5.69% of respondents have a bad perception. Therefore, it is recommended for socialization related to the role of halal certificate labels to the general public and culinary business actors in Palembang. In addition, a collaboration between the Association, Community, Government, and Media is needed to encourage culinary business actors in Palembang to play an active role in having a halal certificate label. Next, invite BPJPH to provide information about the steps for registering a halal certificate label.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlations among English learning motivation, learning styles, and English mastery of senior high school students taking an English course in Palembang. In this correlational study, the data were collected through test and questionnaires. English learning motivation questionnaire, learning styles questionnaire, and English test were administered to 102 senior high school students taking an English course in Palembang. The data were analyzed by using correlational and regression analyses. The results showed that there were no significant correlations between English learning motivation and English mastery, between learning styles and English mastery, and between predictor variables and criterion variable . However, further calculation using multiple regression analysis showed that the contribution of instrumental motivation was 6.4 %. It implied that there was a little contribution of English learning motivation to students’ English mastery. On the other hand, the results showed that none of the aspects of learning styles significantly contributed to English mastery. Keywords:English learning motivation, learning styles, English mastery

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Kampung Inggris Tempirai Pali memberikan pengalaman sekaligus harapan yang berbeda bagi pembelajar Bahasa Inggris di Sumatera Selatan. Kampung Inggris Tempirai Pali sebagai instansi informal dalam memberikan pengalaman kultural, pembelajaran sosial, dan peningkatan ilmu pengetahuan agama, serta juga pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, khususnya di Kabupaten Pali. Melihat potensi yang besar pada Kampung Inggris Pali, diperlukan sebuah investigasi dengan memberikan pengalaman yang efektif akan pembelajaran Bahasa di Kampung Inggris Tempirai Pali. Pengalaman belajar yang tidak hanya efektif tapi juga baik, sangat penting demi memenuhi kebutuahn pembelajar bahasa yang beragam. Selain itu, latar belakang para siswa yang berbeda, membuat sebuah model pembelajaran bahasa dibutuhkan. Penggunaan model pembelajaran di Kampung Inggris Pali sudah dapat terlihat dari gaya mengajar, persiapan tutor dalam mengajar dan kegiatan pembelajaran dalam kelas, yang dapat dengan jelas terlihat saat dilakukan observasi secara langsung ke kelas-kelas di Kampung Inggris Pali. Namun, secara tidak sadar para tutor belum mengetahui model pembelajaran apa yang mereka sudah dan sedang lakukan di dalam kelas, oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bimbingan teknis kepada para Tutor Kampung Inggris Pali untuk menggunakan model pembelajaran bahasa yang efektif dan baik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan online quizzes. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas tutor dalam memberikan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di Kampung Inggris Pali, yang secara spesifik akan meningkatkan kemampuan Speaking para siswa, khususnya dalam menangani tamu yang datang ke Kabupaten Pali.

English Language Teaching and Learning Model is very essential to improve Students’ English skill. Kampung Inggris PALI has shown effectiveness to improve students’ English speaking skill. Most of the activities both inside and outside of the classroom support the students’ English Speaking Skill, such as repeating word-phrase, simple short question-answer, translation, simple dictation, Sentence Drilling, and English speaking games. Students learn English with high motivation, with higher extrinsic motivation than intrinsic motivation. As the first issue, the owner and tutor of Kampung Inggris PALI has no information about what model of English Teaching and Learning they use effectively not only to gain but also to improve English Speaking Skill, luckily the tutors manage a well-managed role as a teacher to support the speaking activities. The second issue is the class have been attended by various of age, though they provide at least three different category of class: Young Learner Class, Adolescent Learner Class, and Adult Learner Class. The third issue is there is no formal and written lesson plan with the support of a written syllabus for all classes. Last, the fourth issue is to give a more cultural context and job requirement context as the content of English Language Teaching and Learning Model

This study aims to analyze communication strategies implemented to enhance Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participation in the Sagarurung Festival in PALI Regency. MSMEs play a significant role in supporting regional economic development, particularly through tourism-based events and creative economy activities. This research applies a qualitative research approach by utilizing in-depth interviews, direct observation, document analysis, and SWOT analysis supported by IFAS and EFAS frameworks. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, involving representatives from the Office of Cooperatives and SMEs of PALI Regency, festival organizers, and MSME participants. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the communication strategy implemented in the Sagarurung Festival reflects an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) approach, incorporating advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and direct and digital marketing. Digital communication and interpersonal communication emerged as the most effective strategies in facilitating MSME participation. WhatsApp and social media became the primary communication channels due to their accessibility, speed, interactivity, and efficiency. Furthermore, free booth facilities reduced participation barriers, while public relations and interpersonal communication strengthened trust and sustainable relationships between organizers and MSMEs.
