Abstract

The purpose of Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) optimal control system is to stabilize the system, so that the output of the system towards a steady state by minimizing the performance index. LQR-invinite horizon is a special case of LQR in thecontinuous time area where the terminal time of the performance index value for infinite time and infinite outputsystem is zero. Performance index will be affected by the weighting matrix. In this paper will be discussed about the application of Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (PSO) and Differential Evolution Algorithm (DEA) to determine the state feedback of a closed loop system and weighting matrices in the LQR to minimize performance index. PSO algorithm is a computational algorithm inspired by social behavior of flocks of birds and fishes in searching of food. While the DEA is an optimization algorithm that is adopted from evolution and genetics of organisms. Simulations of the PSO algorithm will be compared with DEA. Based on case study, DEA is faster then PSO to get convergence to the optimum solution.

Abstract

The Book Kartini Kisah yang Tersembunyi  of Aguk Irawan opens another color in the life of a national hero, R.A. Kartini. It should be realized that the writing of one's biography is never singular, as a work of fiction. Precisely with the diversity of biography writing will enrich the reader in capturing, understanding, and interpreting the biography or history.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain the following things: (1) indirect expressions; (2) heuristics and hermeneutic analysis; (3) matrix, models, and variants; (4) hipograms variable; which are contained in "Surat Cinta" and "Malaikat di Gereja St. Josef", poems written by W. S. Rendra. This is a qualitative research. The data which are used in this research are linguistic aesthetical units, consist of words, phrases, lines, and stanzas in the poems. The data resources are poems written by W. S. Rendra, entitled "Surat Cinta" and "Malaikat di Gereja St. Josef". The research instrument is the researcher himself who provides insight and experience about semiotic theory dealing with the analysis of the poems, especially Riffaterre semiotic theory. The data collecting method which is used in this research is a literature exploration which is conducted by reading and noting techniques. Qualitative is the method which is used to analyze the data, while qualitative descriptive is the conducted technique in term of analyzing the process. The process taken has brought the researcher to the following conclusions. 1) Indirect expressions includes the changing of words’ meaning, for example, /surat cinta/ caused by ambiguity, /bagai berjuta-juta jarum alit/ which is a linguistic term called kias simile or comparison, /tiada lebih buruk dan tiada lebih baik /, / orang yang bermula dari kata kata yang bermula dari kehidupan pikir dan rasa / which are linguistic kias epik simile or parable of the epic. /Engkau adalah putri duyung / is a personification stylistic. The whole part of "Surat cinta" is in allegory stylistic. Putri duyung is a kias sinekdoki. /Kutulis surat ini kala hujan gerimis bagai bunyi tambur/ shows the use of fantasy or imagination overview. The deviations meaning in "surat cinta" are caused by ambiguity, for instance, /surat cinta/, the new meaning of sentences caused by rhyme: an end rhyme, for example /Putri duyung dengan suara merdu lembut bagai angin laut/, straight rhyme, for example /Angin mendesah selalu mendesah/, while /kala langit menangis/ is an example assonance rhyme and /menangis minta mainan/ is an alliteration rhyme. The deviations meaning also can be caused by enjambments, for example, /Dan angin mendesah mengeluh dan mendesah/, and homologs, for example, /orang yang bermula dari kata kata yang bermula dari…/ 2) Heuristics and hermeneutic analysis, 3) Matrix, models, and variants. For example, the matrix of "Malaikat di Gereja St. Josef" describes something that God has planned to humankind which appears with the angel in St. Josef church. The models in that poem are "St. Josef" and "Angel", and those models are described by the following variant: /Malaikat di Gereja St. Josef/. 4) The hipograms of "Surat cinta" are: (a) expansion: “Sajak Putih” (1944) and “Derai-Derai Cemara” (1949) by Chairil Anwar. (b) modification: “Sajak Putih” (1944) by Chairil Anwar. (c) actual: “Lagu Gadis Itali” (1920s) by Sitor Situmorang and “Dalam Gelombang” (1920s) by St. Takdir Alysahbana, whereas the hipograms of "Malaikat di Gereja St. Josef" are: (a) Ekserp: “Turun Kembali” (1937) by Amir Hamzah. (b) Modification: “Panggilan Pagi Minggu” by Y. E. Tatengkeng. (c) Actual: poem “Barangkali” by Amir Hamzah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is as follows. (1) Describe the distribution and amount leksia in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. (2) Describe the codes in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. (3) Describe the meaning of the codes in the novel Bait-Bait MultazamAbidah El Khalieqy work. (4) Describing the moral values Bait Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy work. This research is a qualitative research. This study describes the meaning of the code in the novel-Bait Bait Multazam based semiotic Roland Barthes. This research data in the form of units of the events that are relevant to the issues examined. The data source of this research is novel Bait-Bait Multazam. This study researcher used the instrument itself is already equipped semiotic Roland Barthes. Methods of data collection research using formal methods, by reading the entire novel. This research data collection techniques is a technique to read and record. Data analysis method used is a qualitative method. Data analysis techniques using a qualitative descriptive technique which is based on Roland Barthes semiotic approach. Roland Barthes semiotic research results in Bait-Bait Multazam Abidah El Khalieqy works is as follows. (1) Beheading novel Bait-Bait Multazam obtained 55 leksia each leksia bring the codes. (2) Each leksia bring up the code that has to mean, the code is a code action or proairetic (AKS), code hermeneutic (HER), cultural code or referential (REF), code semik (SEM), and the symbolic code (SIM) , (3) The meaning of the code- novel Bait Bait Multazam based language code, the code of literary and cultural code. Code-language novel Bait Bait Multazam concerning the use of Indonesian in the form of Arabic. The Cultural code in the novel Bait-Bait Multazam are their rules in an Arab country. Code literary novel-Bait Bait Multazam is the imagination of author give an appreciation of a convert. (4) Novel-Bait Bait Multazam raises moral values such exemplary faith and devotion, confidence, equality, honesty, and sincerity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is as follows. (1) describe novel structural Upacara in the view of Levi-Strauss. (2) Describe the conflict contained in the novel Upacara. (3) Describe the role of shaman that exist in the novel Upacara. This type of qualitative descriptive study. The data in this study is mitem-mitem that describes the structure of the novel, the conflict and the role of shaman figures. Source of data used is primary data source in the form of a novel Upacara by Korrie Layun Rampan. Instruments in this study are the researchers themselves who are already equipped with the concepts, theories of myth, ritual and structuralism Levi-Strauss and other supporting theory. Data collection methods used in this study is a formal method. The data collection technique used is the technique of reading and quotation. Data analysis method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive qualitative technique that exposes and describes the data that has been obtained is clear and rests on a structural view of Levi-Strauss. The results of this study are as follows. (1) The structure of the novel Upacara was divided into 18 episodes. Each episode that illustrates the relationships and opposition antarmitem showing the overall meaning of the conflicts in a society of Dayak Benuaq, and the role of balian in leading the ceremonies. (2) Conflicts are contained in the novel Upacara by Korrie Layun Rampan happened between communities of Dayak Benuaq and strangers. Community Dayak Benuaq trying to protect the natural and their trust. The foreigners trying to destroy the nature that has been preserved and introduce God or religion to tribal communities of Dayak Benuaq. (3) The role of leaders healers are contained in the novel Upacara is as traditional elders, as leader of traditional ceremonies, as interpreter recovered, and as a judge fairly.

Abstract

This aims of the paper are to describe and explain things as follows. (1) The plot in a collection of short stories Good Die, man. (2) People and Personalities in the short story collection Mati Baik-Baik, Kawan. (3) Setting the story in a collection of short stories Mati Baik-Baik, Kawan. (4) Social protests in the collection of short stories Mati BaikBaik, Kawan.  This research is a qualitative description of the research. This research data is qualitative data in the form of sentences/paragraphs in units of events. The data are obtained from the entire text of The Good Die short story collection, Comrade in which there is an idea of the form of characters, settings, and description of the types of social criticism to be based on facts and data. Instruments in this study are the researchers themselves are equipped with sets of theories concerning the sociology of the literature. Data collection method used the method of literature, while the technique of data collection techniques used to read and record the techniques. Methods of the data analysis used in this research are analysis of the content, while the technique of data analysis in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research of the study is as follows. (1) Determine the flow in the short story collection Mati Baik-Baik, Kawan is a chronological flow. (2) Figures in the short story collection Mati Baik-Baik, Kawan, Comrade each consisting of two to two characters with a simple gesture. (3) Setting the story in the collection of short stories Mati BaikBaik, Kawan is in big cities with the social conditions of the lower middle class in 1965. (4) social protests are divided into three areas: the political, cultural, economic and then described in more detail, namely protest to the government and society.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the reading process of lyric prose titled Calon Arang by Toeti Heraty based on Jaques Derrida’s Deconstruction theory. This study is a qualitative research. The data of this research were unit of events which were conveyed in the form of row and line. The resource of the data was Calon Arang prose lyric text. The research instrument was the writer’s ability to analyze the data that were got with the concepts and theories related to Jaques Derrida Deconstruction. Method of collecting the data used was qualitative, while the techniques were observation and note-taking. The data analysis used in this research was descriptive analysis method, while the analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative technique. The result of this study showed that, 1) lyric prose titled Calon Arang was written based on the manuscript of editing by I Made Suastika from the manuscript numbered LOR 5387/5279, written on palm leaves, in ancient Javanese language, in 1462 of Saka year (1540 Masehi), 2) based on Deconstruction reading, there were 34 units of opposition which were explicit and 7 which were implicit. Hierarchy trace showed that there were two big oppositions; they were winning opposition unit and defeat opposition unit. Calon Arang’s defeat was used as the base to describe the woman oppression based on cultural patriarchal system. The women oppression covered oppression in reproduction aspect, advertising and beauty which reflected full patriarchal system, capitalism and hedonistic lifestyle.

Abstract

            The objective of the study is to describe Riffaterre semiotika’s meaning of “Bulan Kuning Sudah Tenggelam” based on: 1) indirect expression, 2) reading of heuristic and hermeutik (retroactive), 3) finding matrix, model, and variant, 4) finding hipogram of ‘Bulan Kuning Sudah Tengeelam” short story. The research data were analyzed by qualitative techique. The source of the data was “Bulan Kuning Sudah Tenggelam” short story by Ahmad Tohari. The population of the data was sentences and paragraphs of an event that contained meaningful sign in “ Bulan Kuning Sudah Tenggelam”. The research instrument was researcher who were armed with the concept of meaningful sign system by semiotic theory. The data collecting method of this study was hermeneutika method and  the data collecting techniques were read, write, and book. For the data analysis techinque, the researcher used descriptive qualitative and descriptive analysis method. The results of this research were: 1) the indirect expression consisted of (a) change of meaning, such as kiri-kanan (metomini) replaced by neighbour (b) deviation meaning, such as Oh that was a deviation meaning of admiration, apologetic, wonder, and understanding (c) the creation of meaning, such as //Apabila//, //Apabila//, //Apabila//, //Apabila// that was ended by same vocal //a// //a// //a// 2) reading of heuristic could be found by explicit and reading by hermeneutik could be found by implicit 3) the matrix was rebellion: the model was moon: the variants were the main problems in the story 4) the hipogram was Roman Bumi Manusia novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe (1) the structure of the novel Mempelai Naga according  to  Lévi Strauss, (2)  conflict, (3)  preservation  of cultural heritage, (4) the values that can be applied as subject matter of Indonesian at high school. This research is qualitative and descriptive. The results of the study are (1) a novel  structure   according   to  Lévi Strauss  has   relationships,   opposition,  and transformation, (2) conflicts of conflict between man and man, man and nature, man and God, man and conscience and, (3) preservation of heritage  Chinese culture-Jambi done by Naga who chose his bride and a number of elements relevant to the community, and (4) the value of which can be applied to learning Indonesian language and literature in high school are the value of cultural, moral, educational, religious, and social.

Abstract

Prophetic literature is a literature involved in the history of humanity, which is transcendental and Sufism spirit as it departs from the values of the world. Prophetic literature aspires to humans not to be one-dimensional creatures, but complete creatures, both physical and spiritual, are rooted in the earth as well as reaching the sky. Therefore the processing of the material is not separated from experience, imagination, and value. One of literary works that include Prophetic literature is a collection of short stories by Ahmad Tohari. To process the value material in the collection Rusmi Ingin Pulang short story writer uses the basis of the verses in various letters in the Qur'an, the Prophet's traditions, the minds of Ki Hajar Dewantara, and R.A.Kartini. The scattering of these values is symbolically utilized to convey the mindset of patience, honesty, forgiveness, affection, wisdom, mutual assistance, science, and self-reliance.
