Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the principal's leadership on the work motivation of elementary school teachers in Modoinding district and to find out how much influence it had. The results of the research conducted show that based on the results of the calculation of the significance test and the linearity regression test above, it can be concluded that the influence of the Principal's Leadership (X) on the Teacher Work Motivation variable (Y) is significant and linear. This is evidenced because Fcount 7.913> α (0.05). Furthermore, the regression equation Ŷ = 37.299 + 0.297 X shows that every one increase in the Principal Leadership score will cause an increase in the Teacher Work Motivation score of 0.297 at a constant of 37.299. Based on the table above, it is known that the amount of Principal Leadership on Teacher Work Motivation in Modoinding District can be 0.150 or 15 percent. This indicates that 15% of the Principal's Leadership determines the Work Motivation of Teachers in Modoinding District. Meanwhile, 85% is influenced by other factors not examined.The more principals in Modoinding District carry out their functions optimally as school managers during the Covid19 pandemic, the more teachers' work motivation will increase, where the increase is linear.

Abstract

This research was conducted in grade IV SD GMIM Wailan. The results of the observation show that when the learning process of Social Sciences (IPS) with material on social problems in the surrounding environment, the final grades achieved by students are not satisfactory or far from expected, where of the 16 students in the class, only 6 people students (37.5%) had reached the KKM (75%), while the other 10 students (62.5%) had not mastered the material or had scores far below the predetermined KKM, namely 75%. This happens because the teacher is less creative in learning or only focuses on the teacher himself, so that students are still mostly playing and making noise in the classroom when teaching and learning activities take place. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) according to Kemmis and Mac Taggart (Aqib Zainal, 2006) which included the planning stage, the action stage, the observation stage and the reflection stage. This research was conducted in two cycles. The data was collected using direct observation techniques of the learning process and tests. The data obtained from the teaching and learning process were calculated using the KKM formula (Minimum Completeness Criteria). The learning result in cycle 1 is 64.68% and becomes 85.31% in cycle II. So in this study it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes in class IV SD GMIM Wailan. It is recommended that teachers who teach in grade IV SD GMIM Wailan be able to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the learning process, especially in social studies subjects with material on social problems in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the performance of elementary school teachers in Manado City was in accordance with the expectations of the parents. To answer the objectives of this study, researchers conducted research based on the quantitative descriptive method with Importantnce Performance Analysis (IPA) method analysis. The results of the research conducted show that based on the results of the calculation of the average performance appraisal (performance) performance of elementary school teachers in Manado City is below the average rating of expectations (Importance): 2.67 <4.21 and the performance of each variable of service quality. The results of the respondent's assessment score (suitability level) are below 100% (65.7% <100%) which means that it is not satisfactory. The interpretation of the Cartesian diagram can be explained as follows: aspects or attributes that affect teacher performance satisfaction, namely aspects of work quality (1) and aspects of communication. Otherwise. Aspects that are good and in accordance with what the community expects and their performance needs to be maintained (quadrant B) and the result is only one indicator, namely ability (4). In other words, there are achievements made by teachers, in this case, according to the parents, is the teacher's ability to carry out teaching. From the results of the research and data analysis, it can be concluded that based on the analysis of the results of the study, it can be concluded that the overall indicator of the performance level of teachers in elementary schools in Manado City based on processing and data analysis falls into the Low category which must be improved implementation.

Abstract

This research aims to apply the jigsaw learning model to improve social studies learning outcomes for class IV students at Don Bosco Bitung 2 Catholic Elementary School. The method used is Classroom Action Research by Kemmis and MC. Tanggart includes four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this research were class IV students using the jigsaw learning model. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and evaluation of students who are studying using observation sheets and written tests are carried out to measure students' understanding abilities regarding the lessons given. The data analysis technique uses the KB formula = T/Tt x 100%. The research results show cycle I = 63% and cycle II = 86.33%. From the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the Jigsaw learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes and help students work more actively in groups, especially fourth grade students at Don Bosco Bitung 2 Catholic Elementary Schoo

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka. data yang diperoleh melalui informasi kepustakaan, diantaranya buku, artikel, koran, majalah dan dokumen-dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi digital yamg relevan untuk mencapai keberhasilan pendidikan dimasa yang akan datang, diera society 5.0 ini juga perlu adanya peningkatan dan pemenuhan kebutuhan pembelajaran yang berkualitas tinggi dan berintegritas dengan tenologi yang meliputi kemampuan, Kompetensi Pedagogik, Kompetensi Kepribadian, Kompetensi Sosial, Kompetensi Provesional, Dengan demikian Human  Resourses (HR) dibidang pendidikan pada era 5.0 harus berfokus pada peningkatan kompetensi yang relevan dengan trasformasi teknologi sambil tetap mempertahankan nilai- nilai humanis yang mendasari pendidikan. Pembaharuan dan ketrampilan dan pengembangan budaya belajar yang berkelanjutan menjadi kunci untuk memastikan bahwa tenaga pendidik dan staf lainnya siap menghadapi tantangan baru dalam pendidikan era digital.

Abstract

Background. Math class, especially in primary school, has always been a “big monster” for many students. Teachers are also having difficulties in delivering in the classroom. However, there are some options available for addressing these problems. Aims. This chapter offers problem-based learning and project-based learning as its solutions. Both solutions are explained briefly yet clearly, including their “how-to” and their barriers. Methods: Problem-based learning and project-based learning are employed as teaching methods that engage students in real-world problems, creating a personally meaningful experience.Conclusion. some barriers in implementing both of the solution options. They are: (1) role changing of teachers from knowledge resource into facilitator, (2) lack of experience for teachers, (3) good resource availability, (4) support from stakeholders, (5) technology support, and (6) careful teaching plan. However, all of them can still be solved based on each solution.While the barriers can be overcome in the learning process, there are also some critical considerations that teachers should be aware of when solving math class problems.
