Abstract

The Balanced Nutrition Guidelines (PGS) presented by the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2014 have a message, one of which is to get used to breakfast. Breakfast is an eating and drinking activity carried out between waking up and 9 am with the aim of meeting daily nutritional needs (15-30%). This research aims to get an overview of the variations in the breakfast menu of FKIK UKRIDA students. This research used a cross sectional descriptive design, taking subjects using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out in October 2023. The research subjects consisted of 45 students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria are the 2020-2021 class who are aged 19-25 years and who eat breakfast. The results of this study showed that most of the subjects were female, namely 32 people (71.1%). Most of the subjects did not live with their parents/boarding house 27 (60%) with monthly pocket money mostly Rp. 1,000,000 – Rp. 2,500,000, namely 23 people (51.1%). Most of the subjects had normal weight nutritional status, namely 26 people (40%). The description of the subject's breakfast menu is quite varied, namely bread 14 (31.1%), fried chicken rice 11 (24.4%), and others 20 (42.1%), drinks namely water 22 (48.9%) , water and milk 5 (11.1%), and others 18 (37.8%).

Abstract

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a disease caused by blockage of blood vessels by fat that occurs in the lower extremities with symptoms of pain in the lower extremities and intermittent claudication. PAP occurs in patients aged 60 years and over with risk factors of diabetes, smoking and hypertension. PAP can be detected through an Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) examination. This study aims to determine the description and prevalence of PAD based on ABI values in elderly people hospitalized at UKRIDA Hospital, West Jakarta. The research is observational using a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling is in the form of consecutive sampling, where all elderly people hospitalized at UKRIDA Hospital will be taken as research samples according to the inclusion criteria until they meet the minimum threshold. Using the Lemeshow formula, the sample size was 76 elderly people. The results of the study showed that the prevalence of PAD was 10.5% with the gender that suffered the most from PAP being women, 6 elderly people (75%) and 2 elderly men (25%). Risk factors for PAD sufferers include hypertension (62.5%), diabetes mellitus (37.5%), smoking (25%), and obesity (12.5%). The ABI results in PAD elderly were 2 mild ABI (0.75-0.9) (25%) and 6 severe ABI (<0.9%) (75%). Using the Fontaine classification, the clinical manifestations of PAD elderly were 7 at level I (87.5%) and 1 at level IV (12.5%).

Abstract

The issue of the quality of work of nurses in hospitals is something that needs attention, especially regarding the level of work fatigue by nurses. Work fatigue is a symptom related to work efficiency, skills and increased anxiety. Research shows that work fatigue has a significant impact on work accidents. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the level of fatigue in nurses in government hospitals. This research is a descriptive analytical research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were nurses at government hospitals. In this research, fatigue factors are divided into 3, namely age, gender and length of service. Sampling was carried out using the simple random sampling method. Data collection uses a questionnaire in the form of a Google form. Based on the results, it was found that there was a relationship between factors that influence fatigue and the level of fatigue, p - value <0.005 (0.000).

Abstract

Fractures in the elderly, especially hip fractures, are a serious health problem because they increase the risk of disability and death. Nutritional status is thought to play a role in fracture risk, but the relationship between the two is still unclear. This study aims to determine the correlation between nutritional status and fracture risk using the FRAX Score. This study used a cross-sectional design with 55 elderly people as a sample, selected using total sampling. Nutritional status was measured using Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), while fracture risk was assessed using FRAX Score. Spearman correlation analysis showed a weak negative correlation between nutritional status and the risk of major fracture (r = -0.227; p = 0.096) which was not significant, but there was a significant negative correlation with the risk of hip fracture (r = -0.390; p = 0.003), meaning that the lower the nutritional status, the higher the risk of hip fracture. The conclusion of this study shows that nutritional status is associated with the risk of hip fracture, but not with overall major fracture. Further research with more sensitive methods and larger sample sizes is needed to confirm these results.
