Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini difokuskan pada pendampingan dan pelatihan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi bagi siswa-siswi SMK Negeri 2 Manokwari, Papua Barat. Penentuan pelatihan ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan siswa-siswi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan multimedia. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada PKM ini diantaranya: 1) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi SMK Negeri 2 Manokwari agar dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara positif, 2) membantu siswa-siswi untuk melihat peluang usaha di era digital, 3) memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi berkaitan dengan digital marketing, dan 4) melatih siswa-siswa desain gambar dan video, 4) membina kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak terkait, terutama pihak sekolah, untuk memperkenalkan STMIK Kreatindo Manokwari kepada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan PKM ini adalah melalui ceramah dan praktik. Materi-materi terkait pelatihan disampaikan melalui ceramah dan diskusi. Kemudian selanjutnya pelatihan langsung dilaksanakan dengan praktik secara langsung. Kegiatan PKM ini secara keseluruhan mendapatkan hasil yang baik dan memuaskan. Beberapa komponen yang berhasil dicapai dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diantaranya: 1) ketecapaian tujuan kegiatan, 2) tecapainya target materi yang telah direncanakan

Abstract

Computational thinking is a way of thinking that refers to the ability to solve problems using the concepts used in computing. These concepts include systematic problem solving, data analysis, algorithms, abstraction, and information representation. The method used in this research is library research. Computational thinking not only helps us acquire computer-related skills, but can also enhance our ability to solve problems in other domains. Several studies have found that computational thinking is beneficial for improving mathematical abilities, reasoning abilities, and creative thinking.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to socialize the importance of the role of Higher Education, especially Higher Education that is engaged in the field of technology in facing the era of society 5.0. This activity was attended by a number of class XII students at Yapis High School located in Manokwari Regency, West Papua. This activity was carried out well and received a positive response from the students of SMA Yapis Manokwari, this was marked by the active participation shown by the students in participating in the whole series of socialization activities, the existence of dialogic interaction between presenters and students, questions and answers and discussion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada guru bahwa penting untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman relasional peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran matematika di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Pemahaman relasional mengacu pada kemampuan siswa dalam mengaitkan berbagai konsep matematika dan memahaminya secara mendalam, bukan sekadar menghafal prosedur. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda dalam memahami konsep-konsep matematika. Guru diharapkan mampu mengidentifikasi kemampuan tersebut dan menerapkan strategi pengajaran yang sesuai untuk mendukung pengembangan pemahaman relasional siswa

Abstract

Creative thinking is an essential skill that elementary school students must possess to face the challenges of the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of improving and achieving students' mathematical creative thinking abilities through the intervention of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning. Two groups of students were involved: an experimental group that received AR-based learning and a control group that underwent conventional learning. The aspects of creative thinking abilities measured included fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. These aspects were evaluated through pre-tests and post-tests. A total of 62 students participated in this study, consisting of 32 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. Data were collected using essay tests designed to measure students' creative thinking abilities. The results of the mean difference test showed that the experimental group achieved significant improvement in creative thinking abilities compared to the control group. AR proved effective in enhancing student engagement and mathematical creative thinking abilities, particularly in the aspects of fluency and flexibility. This study recommends the use of AR as an innovative tool for mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of deep learning pedagogy in elementary education. A quasi-experimental design with a mixed-methods approach was employed. The experimental group, consisting of 32 students, received instruction through a deep learning-based discovery learning model, while the control group, comprising 30 students, participated in problem-based learning. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests assessing critical thinking skills, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students. Quantitative data were analyzed using a t-test, whereas qualitative data were thematically analyzed to explore students’ learning experiences and teachers’ reflections. The independent sample t-test comparing post-test scores between groups yielded a p-value of 0.013, indicating a significant difference in mathematical critical thinking skills between the experimental and control groups at the α = 0.05 significance level. The findings reveal that students in the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher critical thinking abilities than those in the control group. The integration of learning trajectories and learning obstacle analysis helped teachers anticipate potential learning barriers and provide appropriate scaffolding. Qualitative evidence also showed that students became more active, reflective, and collaborative when engaging with complex tasks. Overall, this study underscores the potential of deep learning pedagogy in fostering critical thinking skills in elementary education.

Abstract

Learning practices in elementary schools still tend to be oriented toward procedural mastery and surface-level learning outcomes, and therefore have not fully supported the realization of deep learning. One approach that has the potential to address this issue is the use of a learning trajectory framework, which serves as an instructional framework that considers the gradual and systematic development of students’ ways of thinking. This study aims to construct a conceptual learning trajectory framework grounded in the principles of deep learning for elementary school students. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, in which data were obtained from scholarly journal articles, academic books, and relevant documents discussing deep learning, learning trajectory, and elementary education. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis and content analysis to identify key concepts, instructional principles, and patterns of interrelationships among theories. The findings indicate that the integration of deep learning principles into a learning trajectory can be formulated through instructional stages that emphasize conceptual exploration, multiple representations, reflective discussion, and the strengthening of interconnections among concepts. The learning trajectory framework constructed in this study is expected to serve as a theoretical foundation and a conceptual guide for teachers in designing meaningful learning and supporting the development of deep learning among elementary school students
