Abstract

AbstractThe instrument for problem solving given to students was only a problem solving that demands routine procedures and the instrument was not in accordance with the problem solving indicators and the level of Bloom?s taxonomy. This study aimed to explain the teacher's perceptions regarding the instruments to solve the problem in triangular material at Junior High School. The study was used the development design which the instrument type as development research. The samplesof this study were 10 mathematics teachers. According to the validity test of Product Moment correlation obtained 75.7% and 81.1%. The accuracy of the teacher instruments perception through the instruments ability problem solvingdeliver to Bloom's taxonomy, triangular material at Junior High School had high validity. The results of the questionnaire used the average calculation obtained of 82% and 70,6% which mean that mathematics teachers strongly agree that the instrument of problem solving developed by researcher properly with Bloom's cognitive taxonomy level and mathematics teachers have never provided problem solving instruments like the researcher were develop for the students. Keywords: Problem Solving, Teacher Perception

Abstract

The availability of learning modules that are valid, practical, and easy for students to understand is essential for achieving educational objectives. Additionally, limited problem-solving skills in the fundamental concepts of ordinary differential equations pose a significant challenge in the learning process. This research aims to enhance students' problem-solving abilities in the topic of ordinary differential equations through the development of a mathematics learning e-module for students in the Mathematics Education Study Program. The research method employed is the ADDIE development model. Based on the research findings, the developed e-module was validated by subject matter experts, yielding a score of 3.61, categorized as very good, while validation by media experts resulted in a score of 3.42, also categorized as very good. The evaluation from students regarding the e-module received a score of 3.81, which falls into the very good category. Furthermore, based on the assessment of quiz responses within the e-module, the average score was 78.9, indicating an improvement in students' problem-solving abilities prior to using the e-module, which had an average score of 59.8. It can be concluded that the e-module on the concepts of ordinary differential equations is suitable for use in learning and can enhance students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Students' ability to understand math is still very low, especially the basic ability of multiplication, the students cannot solve math problems well so that it affects their learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using abacus media on basic multiplication skills with repeated addition techniques in grade II students of SDN 1 Noyan. The research method is experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used were tests and observation sheets. The statistical test results showed there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores Thitung = 3.50 > Ttabel = 1.729, which means the use of abacus media has a positive effect on student learning outcomes in basic multiplication material. The results of this study indicate that concrete media such as an abacus can improve students' understanding of basic math concepts.

Abstract

Creative thinking is an essential skill that elementary school students must possess to face the challenges of the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of improving and achieving students' mathematical creative thinking abilities through the intervention of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning. Two groups of students were involved: an experimental group that received AR-based learning and a control group that underwent conventional learning. The aspects of creative thinking abilities measured included fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. These aspects were evaluated through pre-tests and post-tests. A total of 62 students participated in this study, consisting of 32 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. Data were collected using essay tests designed to measure students' creative thinking abilities. The results of the mean difference test showed that the experimental group achieved significant improvement in creative thinking abilities compared to the control group. AR proved effective in enhancing student engagement and mathematical creative thinking abilities, particularly in the aspects of fluency and flexibility. This study recommends the use of AR as an innovative tool for mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Perkalian bersusun masih dianggap sulit oleh sebagian besar siswa, karena butuh kemampuan untuk melakukan operasi hitung perkalian secara berurutan dan peletakan posisi bilangan yang tepat. Hal ini dapat ditunjukan dengan rendahnya hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada materi perkalian khusunya pada ranah kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, mengetahui pengaruh media batang napier terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam materi perkalian dikelas III SD Negeri 20 Mabah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan Desain Penelitian ini menggunakan PreEksperimental design,tepatnya menggunakan One Group Pretest-posttest design yaitu desain yang terdapat pre-test (tes sebelum diberi tresatment) dan post-test (tes sesudah diberi treatment) dalam satu kelompok. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 12 siswa kelas III SD Negeri 20 Mabah dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar tes. Analisis data Pada penelitian ini menggunakan Shapiro-wilk dengan bantuan software IBM-SPSS 26.Hasil uji normalitas data menunjukan nilai pretest dan posttest berdistribusi normal. Hasil penellitian yang telah dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test menggunakan Shapiro-wilk dengan bantuan software IBM-SPSS 26 yang mendapatkan hasil sig. 2 tailed sebesar .000 artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil mean pada pre-test menunjukan hasil sebesar 50.83 dan hasil post-test 86.17. berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut maka penggunaan media batang napier memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam materi perkalian dikelas III SD Negeri 20 Mabah.
