Fires are very common disasters found both on a small scale and on a large scale. However, there are still many people who still do not understand and have not been well educated about fire safety, so many of the ordinary people cannot do much if there is a fire in the area around them, as well as in public facilities. The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce the dangers of backdraft in fire events to ordinary people, especially high school and vocational high school students who are the next generation of young people in the nation so as not to cause casualties. The method used in these activities is a presentation delivered by the resource persons in this case are lecturers and cadets of the Aircraft Accident Relief study program and then continued with questions and answers with participants from senior high school and vocational high school from several region in Indonesia who have registered. This activity is carried out online through a video conferencing application. The result obtained from the activities is that participants gain knowledge related to the dangers of the "backdraft" by knowing what, how it happened, and how to avoid it, and what needs to be done so that there is no "backdraft" in the event of a fire. The introduction of "backdraft" activities in fire events is expected to minimize casualties from the general public when there is a "backdraft" in a fire event.

The culture of safety in the aviation world is very important, especially for the younger generation. For example, the younger generation is students who are taking aviation education such as Aviation Vocational High School. The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce knowledge about what and how to form a safety culture that needs to be conveyed to the lay community, especially to the younger generation in this case aviation vocational high school students so that they can become pioneers from an early age in applying behaviors that care about things related to safety and also become agents of change that transmit the virus of kindness to the environment in which they lived later. The method used in the activity was a presentation delivered by the resource persons in this case were lecturers and cadets of the Aircraft Accident Relief study program and then continued with questions and answers with participants from students in Lampung and Sidoarjo in collaboration with Karang Taruna Desa Sedati Gede Sidoarjo, East Java who had registered. This activity is carried out online through a video conferencing application. The result obtained from the activities is that participants can open their insights and knowledge about what and how to form a safety culture so that it is hoped that they can bring out personalities that care about safety (safety awareness) and become agents of change who always behave safety and transmit these personalities in their respective environments.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh jumlah traffic terhadap situation awareness personel pemandu lalu lintas udara di Perum LPPNPI cabang Tanjungpinang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan kuesioner. Populasi yang digunakan ialah 52 personel pemandu lalu lintas udara di Approach Control Unit Tanjungpinang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh positif dan searah antara jumlah traffic yang dikendalikan dengan situation awareness personel pemandu lalu lintas udara. Pengaruh positif menunjukan semakin rendah jumlah traffic yang dikendalikan maka semakin rendah tingkat situation awareness personel pemandu lalu lintas udara dan sebaliknya. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 36% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Persamaan regresi hasil penelitian ialah Y = 20,451 + 0,570 X.

The increasing intensity of air traffic has a direct impact on the workload of Air Traffic Controllers (ATCs), who serve as key human resources within air navigation service organizations. Previous studies on ATC workload have predominantly emphasized technical and operational aspects related to aviation safety, while managerial and organizational perspectives—particularly those concerning human resource support—remain relatively limited. This study aims to examine the effect of the availability of Air Traffic Controller Assistants (ATCAs) on the workload of Air Traffic Controllers from a human resource management perspective. This research employed an explanatory design using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through a survey of 64 Air Traffic Controllers assigned to the Approach/Terminal unit. ATC workload was measured using the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX), while the availability of ATCAs was assessed using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, assumption testing, and simple linear regression using SPSS software. The results indicate that the availability of ATCAs has a statistically significant effect on ATC workload (p < 0.05), although the magnitude of this effect is moderate. These findings suggest that human resource support through the management of support personnel plays an important role in influencing workload, particularly in work environments characterized by high cognitive demands and time pressure. This study concludes that managing the availability of ATCAs should be considered an integral component of human resource management strategies aimed at enhancing work effectiveness and organizational sustainability within air navigation service organizations.

Pelaksanaan Daily Check Report pada Unit Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan formulir berbasis kertas. Sistem tersebut menimbulkan berbagai kendala, seperti risiko kehilangan data, kesalahan pencatatan, keterlambatan pelaporan, kesulitan dalam pengarsipan, serta belum tersedianya sistem monitoring kondisi kendaraan dan peralatan secara real-time. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi memengaruhi kesiapsiagaan operasional ARFF dalam menghadapi keadaan darurat di bandar udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan Daily Check Report yang berjalan, mengidentifikasi kendala pada sistem manual, serta merancang konsep digitalisasi Daily Check Report berbasis website guna mendukung kesiapsiagaan operasional ARFF di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Waterfall. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka terhadap personel ARFF. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem manual belum mampu mendukung proses pemeriksaan, dokumentasi, dan monitoring secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, dirancang konsep sistem digital berbasis website yang memiliki fitur login, pengelolaan data pengguna, data kendaraan, daily checklist, unggah dokumentasi, monitoring, verifikasi supervisor, serta laporan operasional. Rancangan sistem ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, akurasi pencatatan, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan secara cepat melalui penyajian informasi yang terintegrasi dan dapat dipantau secara real-time.

Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji tingkat kelengkapan rescue tools pada kendaraan Foam Tender IV di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu, serta mengidentifikasi pengaruh ketidaklengkapannya terhadap jalannya operasi penyelamatan. Kajian memakai pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara pengambilan data melalui pengamatan lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilaksanakan dengan membandingkan kondisi nyata rescue tools terhadap ketentuan yang diatur dalam Peraturan Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Udara Nomor PR 30 Tahun 2022. Temuan kajian memperlihatkan bahwa rescue tools pada kendaraan Foam Tender IV secara umum masih mampu menunjang operasi penyelamatan, namun masih ditemukan sejumlah jenis peralatan yang jumlahnya belum memenuhi ketentuan yang berlaku. Ketidaklengkapan tersebut berisiko menurunkan efektivitas proses penyelamatan, menghambat percepatan akses menuju korban, menambah beban kerja bagi personel, serta melemahkan kesiapan operasional saat keadaan darurat. Karena itu, dibutuhkan peningkatan pemeriksaan fungsi, sistem pelaporan, serta pemenuhan kelengkapan rescue tools agar kesiapan operasional Unit PKP-PK tetap terjaga dan mampu menunjang keselamatan penerbangan.

Education and training are important to support the work that PKP-PK personnel will do. One of the learning materials needed is related to testing the main vehicles of the PKP-PK unit. However, the existing learning media are not well integrated and are not widely available. As a result, prospective PKP-PK personnel have difficulty finding learning materials. This study aims to identify efforts that can be made to enhance learning materials related to the performance testing of main vehicles, ensuring they are well integrated and easily accessible through the design of learning materials. The study employs the research and development method using the ADDIE model, which consists of first analyze, second design, third development, fourth implementation, and fifth evaluation. The results of this study are digitalized learning materials that can be used by instructors, cadets, and prospective or current PKP-PK personnel. These learning materials have been validated by subject matter experts and media experts. Based on the validation results, it can be concluded that the digitalized learning materials for the PKP-PK unit is umaru website (main vehicle performance testing) are suitable for use as learning materials.

Abstract. Air transportation has an important role in supporting a country’s economy by maintaining high standards of service and safety. The unit Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) at Adi Soemarmo Boyolali Airport has a crucial task in maintaining flight safety. This research aim to optimize watchroom operational performance through website-based daily logbook digitization, thereby improving the efficiency of recording and reporting activities. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach. The results showed that the designed digital system is very feasible to use and is able to increase the speed, accuracy, and security of ARFF watchroom operational data. Material and IT expert validation provided recommendations for further feature development to support a more optimal work safety system. The implementation of this digitalization is expected to be able to support airport management in improving operational safety..
