Abstract

The multicultural society of Pontianak City demands a strategic role from Catholic Religious Education teachers in implementing the values of religious moderation among students. Schools, as institutions for shaping religious and national character, serve as the most appropriate place to instill these values systematically and sustainably. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by Catholic Religious Education teachers in applying the values of religious moderation through the Merdeka Curriculum. The method used is qualitative research with data collected through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to obtain comprehensive insights. The informants consisted of 20 Catholic Religious Education teachers actively teaching in various schools across Pontianak City. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implemented values include tolerance, non-violence, justice, and national commitment. These values are conveyed through narrative approaches, open dialogues, interfaith activities, and consistent character formation. The challenges encountered include external environmental influences that do not always support religious moderation, as well as exclusive mindsets still held by some students. In conclusion, the successful implementation of religious moderation requires cross-sector collaboration and continuous character strengthening within the educational ecosystem. Furthermore, training and curriculum support aligned with these values are necessary to enable teachers to effectively carry out their moderative roles in a pluralistic society.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki keberagaman suku, agama, ras dan antar golongan. Potensi keberagaman di Indonesia akan memberikan dampak positif bagi kemajuan bangsa, akan tetapi jika tidak dimaknai dengan baik dan benar, justru akan menimbulkan dampak negatif yang berakibat pada perpecahan. Kegiatan disemininasi moderasi beragama ini memiliki tujuan agar para Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di Kota Kediri memiliki konsep moderasi beragama yang benar. Pemahaman akan moderasi beragama yang benar akan membuahkan nilai-nilai toleransi sehingga terhindar dari sikap ekstrem, khususnya dalam penerapan kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah. Kegiatan diseminasi moderasi beragama ini menggandeng kerja sama dengan Kementerian Agama kota Kediri serta Paguyuban Guru Agama Katolik Kota Kediri. Narasumber berasal dari tiga Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti yang sudah pernah mengikuti diseminasi moderasi beragama baik di tingkat nasional maupun provinsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah model sosialisasi. Sosialisasi dalam hal ini lebih menekankan pemahaman konsep buku moderasi beragama yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Agama. Hasil dari kegiatan moderasi beragama ini membuahkan cara pandang beragama yang benar dengan mengedepankan sikap toleran. Melalui cara pandang moderasi beragama yang benar akan membuahkan situasi masyarakat yang rukun, damai serta bijak dalam menyikapi keberagaman di Indonesia. Dampak dari kegiatan ini, para guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti di Kota Kediri mampu memahami konsep moderasi beragama yang telah diprogramkan oleh Kementerian Agama, sehingga mampu diterapkan di lingkungan sekolah, khususnya ditujukan kepada peserta didik sebagai generasi penerus bangsa.

Abstract

This research discusses Catholic religious education strategies for Generation Z in bringing spiritual meaning to the digital world. Generation Z, characterized by traits such as high-tech skills and distinct learning preferences, faces unique challenges in religious education. The development of digital technology plays a huge role in Generation Z's daily lives, with social media and digital platforms being a major influence. However, there are positive and negative impacts on spirituality and Catholic religious education. The integration of digital technology with Catholic religious education is important. This research explores digital and e-learning theories as well as successful technology integration models in the context of Catholic religious education. Effective pedagogical approaches, interactive strategies, and innovative methods are needed to teach spiritual values ​​through technology. Spiritual meaning in the digital era is the main focus. This research defines spiritual meaningfulness, highlights ways to achieve and maintain it in the digital world, and describes the role of Catholic religious education in this process. This research links religious education theory, the characteristics of Generation Z, and the development of digital technology to formulate effective educational strategies. By understanding the characteristics of Generation Z and the impact of digital technology, Catholic religious education approaches can be adapted to create meaningful learning experiences. Technology integration can be used to strengthen spiritual values ​​and support character formation. In this digital era, Catholic religious education has a vital role in helping Generation Z find and maintain spiritual meaning in their lives.

Abstract

Masalah dalam Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk aktualisasi sikap toleransi, mengidentifikasi tantangan dan peluang, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari  peserta didik kelas VI, Kepala Sekolah, Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, dan seorang guru beragama Islam. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, dengan uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap toleransi peserta didik Katolik mulai berkembang dan tercermin melalui perilaku saling menghargai pendapat, bekerja sama dalam kelompok, serta kesediaan berinteraksi dengan teman berbeda agama. Namun, implementasinya belum merata dan belum berlangsung secara berkesinambungan pada seluruh peserta didik. Tantangan yang ditemukan antara lain keterbatasan pemahaman tentang toleransi, kecenderungan bermain dengan teman seagama, serta pengaruh stereotip yang masih muncul dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Meskipun demikian, terdapat peluang yang mendukung penguatan toleransi, seperti peran guru dalam memberikan pembiasaan, lingkungan sekolah yang heterogen, serta dukungan nilai pendidikan agama yang menekankan sikap saling menghormati. Faktor yang memengaruhi aktualisasi sikap toleransi meliputi lingkungan keluarga, pergaulan sebaya, pembiasaan guru, serta pengalaman belajar peserta didik di sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa aktualisasi nilai toleransi pada peserta didik Katolik di SDN 05 Boti sudah mulai terlihat, tetapi masih memerlukan pendampingan dan pembiasaan yang lebih terarah agar dapat berkembang secara optimal.
