Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyse religious values who ​​developed for students and their implementation their religious values at elementary school 5 and Madrasah Ibtidahya Terpadu Darul Ulum Lempuyang Bandar Way Pangubuan sub district. The researchers used qualitative research by using comparative studies. The result showed that in implementing religious values ​​are through school culture such as accustoming greetings in the school environment, providing exemplary, spontaneous greetings in the school environment. Abstract

Pecutan is part of the property used in the Abdul Muluk Tradition Theater performance. The Pecutan are made of wood or bamboo, the length of which is adjusted as desired. Abdul Muluk is a traditional theater that developed around the 1930s in Jambi Province, Indonesia. It tells the story of King Abdul Muluk who is wise in leading his kingdom. The story of Abdul Muluk comes from the poem Sultan Abdul Muluk written by King Ali Haji during the Malay Empire. This research aims to analyze Pecutan as a myth in Abdul Muluk's traditional theater performance. This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach that aims to understand the perspectives of actors and audiences of Abdul Muluk's traditional theater regarding Pecutan. Data was obtained through observation of video documentation of Abdul Muluk's traditional theater performances which focused on the myth and the use of Pecutan. Data was also obtained through in-depth interviews with actors, audiences, and theater artists in Jambi. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman Model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results of the Pecutan myth show the meaning of masculinity seen in the King Figure in the story—cultural representation of the people of Jambi Province regarding Pecutan as a marker of an order. Pecutan has an important role in the performance, namely as a marker for the entry of music, the start of dialog, and the transition of dialog. These findings provide a deep understanding of how Pecutan can reflect the culture of the people of Jambi Province only through Abdul Muluk's traditional theater performances. With a better understanding of this, the government, culturists, artists, and traditional actors can maintain and preserve Pecutan, which will become a valuable art asset in the future.

Abstract

The development of the times made the continuity of Abdul Muluk's traditional theater in Muaro Jambi Regency experience a shift. The shift in art consumption patterns resulted in a shift in the function of Abdul Muluk's traditional theater from folk entertainment to exclusive spectacle. This study aims to analyze the factors causing and the impact of the shift in the function of Abdul Muluk's traditional theater in Muaro Jambi Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The research method used is a qualitative method with an art sociology approach based on Janet Wolff's social production theory of art. Data collection techniques used literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that this shift occurred due to internal factors, such as the lack of management in theater groups and the lack of regeneration. Meanwhile, external factors include changes in public tastes, the influx of modern entertainment, and the weakening of institutional support and patronage. This shift has had an impact on various aspects, including the duration of performances, changes in stories, and most prominently accessibility, which is now limited. This study provides insights into how traditional arts are adapting to globalization and highlights the importance of support from others.

Abstract

Kekerasan inses menjadi fenomena yang mengkhawatirkan, dimana pelaku dan korban memiliki hubungan darah. Diantara berbagai jenis kekerasan, inses adalah yang paling sulit untuk diidentifikasi dan dilaporkan. Faktor lainnya karena stigma dalam masyarakat, yang masih menganggap tabu kekerasan inses untuk dibicarakan di ruang publik. Pendekatan perancangan skenario film Paksa menggunakan beberapa pendekatan antara lain: analisis wacana, dan kreativitas. Pendekatan analisis wacana digunakan untuk mengubah berita menjadi wacana yang dapat dimaknai serta untuk mengetahui lebih jelas pola-pola kekerasan inses. Setelah berita dianalisis, tahap selanjutnya menggali kreativitas untuk mengubah fakta menjadi karya fiksi. Kreativitas adalah keahlian seseorang dalam menciptakan bentuk baru dari karya sebelumnya. Setelah ide muncul, metode untuk mengolahnya menggunakan metode transformasi distorsi. Transformasi distorsi, adalah sebuah metode dimana pencipta bebas dalam menstransformasikan fakta tersebut. Setelah data dan fakta diolah, maka tahap terakhir perancangan skenario film. Penciptan skenario film menggunakan struktur tiga babak dan in medias res. Paksa menceritakan seorang penyintas kekerasan inses yang berjuang menyelamatkan muridnya. Perjuangannya tidak mudah karena peristiwa terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat yang masih tabu dengan kekerasan inses serta kontruksi sosial yang begitu kuat memagari pemikiran masyarakat desa. Diharapkan karya skenario film menjadi media edukasi dan advokasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran publik mengenai kekerasan inses.

         The objective of this study is to describe the improvement of reading comprehension skill of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.08 Padang Besi,Padang with the use of OK5R method. This study is classroom action research that uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The result showed that students’ reading comprehension ability increased from 70,5 (Fair) with 70,5% level of mastery in cycle I, to 86,3 (Very good) with 86% level of mastery in cycle II. The percentage of improvement from cycle I to cycle II is 16%. Based on these results, it is concluded that OK5R methodsignificantly improves the reading comprehension ability of the 4th-grade students of Elementary School No.08 Padang Besi, Padang.
