Abstract

This study is in the background based on observations conducted at MTs As-Sunnah Cirebon, maximizing students of 7B MTs As-Sunnah Cirebon to learn Arabic so that learners have maharoh kalam, qiro'ah, kitabah and memorization of many Arabic mufrodat. Drill methods used by educators because this method is suitable for foreign language learning, especially Arabic learning because of learners to acquire the ability to write, read and dialogue using foreign languages with practices that are carried out repeatedly in the scope of the learning space. This research uses PTK research, namely classroom action research, as an object that is a student of 7B MTs As-Sunnah Cirebon. H asil from theresearch process conducted menujukkan that the application of drill methods in Arabic subjects with material adawatul madrosiah in class 7B MTs As-Sunnah Cirebon has been better than before evidenced by the results of the student test from the first test and the second test the percentage of students who can answer increased from the start of the first test seen in the second test stage reached 85% from the previous 70%.

Abstract

Bahasa Arab merupakan Bahasa al-Qurʾan dan bahasa hadis-hadis Nabi ṣallallāh ʿalaihi wa sallam dan merupakan salah satu bahasa resmi di dunia. Bahasa Arab tersebar -dengan izin Allah- seiring dengan tersebarnya Islam. Kaum muslim di semua zaman dan tempat mempelajari bahasa Arab. Ketika Islam masuk ke Indonesia melalui para pedagang, ketika itulah bahasa Arab pula masuk ke negara tersebut. Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan, di antaranya Jawa, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, Sumatera, dan lain-lainnya. Bahasa Arab telah masuk pulau Sumatera sejak waktu lampau. Di antara bukti dari hal tersebut adalah tersebarnya masjid-masjid dan musholla yang mengajarkan al-Qur’an. Kaum muslim mempelajari al-Qur’an dan mempelajari huruf-hurufnya. Mereka mempelajari al-Qur’an dan hurufnya dengan menyimak dan mengikuti suara pengajarnya. Halaqoh-halaqoh al-Qur’an itulah yang kemudia berkembang menjadi maʿhad-maʿhad sekolah-sekolah Islam. Kaum muslimin mendatangi maʿhad tersebut untuk mempelajari Islam dan bahasa Arab. Para santri mempelajari bahasa Arab melalui kitab kuning. Kitab-kitab tersebut ditulis dengan bahasa Arab dan bangga dengan mempelajarinya. Adapun metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab adalah: Bandongan, Sorogan, Halaqoh, Hiwār, Musyawarah, dan Bahth al-Masāʾil.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the characteristics of phonetic errors in stress pronunciation among first-year students in the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Education and Teaching, Ali bin Abi Talib Islamic University, Surabaya, for the academic year 2023/2024. The researcher employs an error analysis method, with data focusing on recorded pronunciation errors by first-year students at Ali bin Abi Talib Islamic University in Surabaya. The approach used in the research is qualitative, specifically descriptive-analytical, where the study describes the phenomenon of phonetic errors in stress pronunciation made by students. The data type consists of linguistic errors found in the works of students from Ali bin Abi Talib Islamic University in Surabaya. The results indicate that first-year students were either inattentive to sentence correctness, rushed in their speech, or lacked knowledge about stress in Arabic language studies. For these reasons, the researcher investigates this issue to reveal what has been overlooked regarding the errors of students at Ali bin Abi Talib Islamic University, Surabaya, in the academic year 2023/2024, and so forth.
