Abstract

In this study, geopolymer G10 based corncob ash were synthesized by alkaline activation using NaOH 10 M-Na2SiO3(2:1) with ratio 5:3. The G10 were characterized by X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and applied to methylene blue adsorptiom in an aqueous media  in batch method. Adsorption efficiency were observed in optimum pH, contact time, adsorbent weight, and methylene blue concentration using UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The resulting geopolymer is brown at a drying temperature of corncob powder at 80 ℃. Based on the XRF results, the Si:Al ratio value in corncob ash was 3:1. The bonds in the geopolymer include, Si-O-Si, Si-O-Al, Si-OH, and Al-O-Si. Optimum adsorption conditions were obtained at pH 3, contact time at 120 menit, adsorben weight is 50 mg, and initial concentration of methylene blue is 200 mg/L.

Abstract

Heterogeneous catalysis is a vital field in chemical engineering, offering improved efficiency and selectivity in various catalytic processes. This study focuses on the dispersion of nickel into titanium-pillared montmorillonite (NiO/Ti-PCH) to enhance its catalytic properties. The primary objective is to synthesize and characterize the catalyst to evaluate its potential in catalytic applications, particularly in reactions requiring high surface area and stability. The synthesis of NiO/Ti-PCH was achieved through the intercalation of titanium and nickel into montmorillonite, followed by a series of characterizations using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Gas Sorption Analyzer (GSA), and Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX). FTIR analysis was utilized to confirm the successful formation of Ti-O-Ni bonds, indicating the effective dispersion of nickel and titanium on the catalyst surface. GSA provided insights into the surface area and porosity of the synthesized material, while SEM-EDX offered information on the morphology and elemental composition. The results indicated a significant increase in the surface area of NiO/Ti-PCH due to the formation of titanium and nickel pillars, enhancing the accessibility of active sites for reactions. The FTIR spectra confirmed the presence of Ti-O-Ni bonds, which play a crucial role in improving catalytic activity. Additionally, the catalyst exhibited excellent thermal stability, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. In conclusion, the synthesized NiO/Ti-PCH demonstrates enhanced catalytic activity and thermal stability, positioning it as a promising candidate for various industrial applications. The findings underscore the importance of utilizing pillared clays in the development of efficient heterogeneous catalysts for sustainable chemical processes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the philosophy of progressivism and how this approach has implications for educational practice in the 21st century. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The results of this study show that the philosophy of progressivism has exerted a significant influence on educational practice. This can be seen from the implications: 1) the application of project and inquiry-based learning methods encourages students to actively seek information, ask questions and solve problems collaboratively. In some schools, teachers implement interdisciplinary projects where students work in groups to solve real problems, such as environmental projects or simple technological innovations, 2) curricula designed to be relevant to students' lives, allowing adaptation to individual interests and needs. Mentoring program where students can choose a project or learning topic that suits their interests, accompanied by a mentor or teacher, 3) focuses on developing 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. collaborative learning through group discussions, debates, and project presentations, where students learn to work together and communicate effectively.

Abstract

Strengthening religious moderation is a strategic effort to build a harmonious social life, especially in Berastagi, which is characterized by cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity. Through the Community Service Program (KKN) of UINSU students in 2025, various programs were designed to encourage community participation while raising collective awareness of the importance of religious moderation values. The main programs include a dish soap-making workshop as an economic empowerment initiative, an anti-bullying campaign to instill tolerance, an education awareness campaign to build a quality generation, the creation of educational boards on waste management to preserve the environment, and the “Sapa Desa” (Semangat Aksi Peduli Desa) movement to strengthen social relations. In addition, supplementary programs such as KKN Cerdas, RUMTAr, Gen Q, Spada, along with student involvement in the fruit and flower festival, selling local products, supporting farmers, and fundraising for the Independence Day celebration, further reinforced collaborative roles with the community. These activities are expected to create synergy between students and the people of Berastagi in fostering inclusive attitudes, mutual cooperation, and environmental care, making religious moderation not only a concept but also a real practice in social life.

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual adalah masalah serius dan sensitif yang memerlukan perhatian dan tindakan dari lintas sektor, termasuk di sekolah dasar. Pembelajaran PAI berbasis inklusif memiliki potensi yang signifikan dalam mencegah kekerasan seksual pada anak di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi potensi nilai-nilai inklusif Islam dalam dalam konteks pendidikan seksual dan perlindungan diri serta merancang pembelajaran PAI berbasis Inklusif untuk mencegah kekerasan seksual tehadap anak di tingkat sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah pendekatan mixed method dengan desain eksperimen. Subyek utama pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Madusari 03. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul Pendidikan Agama Islam berbasis inklusif efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap protektif, dan keterampilan sosial siswa sekolah dasar dalam pencegahan kekerasan seksual. Skor rata-rata pretest–posttest naik dari 5,55 menjadi 5,75, sedangkan jawaban esai menunjukkan pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang batas tubuh pribadi, keberanian menolak perilaku tidak pantas, dan kesiapan melapor. Observasi dan wawancara mengungkap siswa lebih aktif, inklusif, serta guru dan kepala sekolah mendukung modul sebagai inovasi preventif sekolah ramah anak.
