Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the CARTRACK application on the productivity and operational efficiency of heavy equipment in the IKN 3A Toll Road Project, Karangjoang–KKT Kariangau segment. CARTRACK is a GPS-based telematics system that records real-time data on equipment operation, including effective working hours, idle time, and work volume. A comparative quantitative method was used by evaluating data obtained from two monitoring methods: manual recording using Daily Time Sheets and digital tracking through CARTRACK. Six types of heavy equipment were observed: Excavator, Dump Truck, Truck Mixer, Truck Trailer, Vibratory Soil Compactor, and Crane. Data were processed using productivity and efficiency formulas and analyzed using linear regression. The results indicate that the use of CARTRACK significantly improves both productivity and efficiency. The Dump Truck showed an increase in productivity from 2.05 m³/hour to 2.98 m³/hour, while the Crane recorded the highest efficiency gain at 41%. Regression analysis demonstrated a strong positive relationship between effective working hours and productivity, with the highest coefficient of determination (R² = 0.5895) and correlation coefficient (R = 0.7678) for the Dump Truck. These findings confirm that CARTRACK enhances monitoring accuracy and contributes to more efficient and productive heavy equipment operations in large-scale infrastructure projects

Abstract

School revitalization programs are essential for ensuring the safety, functionality, and sustainability of educational infrastructure. However, existing school building assessment approaches primarily focus on physical building conditions and provide limited support for broader revitalization prioritization decisions. This study examines the current landscape of school infrastructure prioritization and school building assessment research and proposes an integrated assessment instrument for school revitalization prioritization. A literature review combined with bibliometric and thematic analyses was conducted using Scopus-indexed publications. Two datasets were analyzed: 108 articles related to school infrastructure prioritization and 46 articles related to school building assessment. Bibliometric mapping was performed using VOSviewer to identify dominant research themes, while thematic analysis was employed to synthesize assessment indicators and identify research gaps. The findings indicate that existing assessment approaches are predominantly oriented toward physical-condition indicators, including structural integrity, architectural deterioration, utility performance, and safety considerations. In contrast, educational demand, asset management, and regional context factors remain underrepresented despite their potential influence on revitalization priorities. Based on the identified gaps, this study proposes the Integrated School Revitalization Prioritization Assessment Instrument (ISRPAI), which comprises four dimensions: Building Condition, Educational Demand, Asset Management, and Regional Context. The instrument incorporates eleven indicators, including school capacity utilization, active classroom availability, land status, maintenance history, disaster vulnerability, accessibility, and socioeconomic conditions. The proposed ISRPAI extends conventional building condition assessment approaches by providing a more comprehensive basis for school revitalization prioritization and offers a conceptual foundation for future validation studies and decision-support systems in educational infrastructure planning.

Abstract

Indonesia's construction sector is experiencing rapid growth, this proven by numerous development projects, including a sub-district building construction project, aiming to optimize community services.  A project must have three aspects, namely cost, quality and time. Choosing an implementation method is very important so that a project can achieve these three goals. The research method used a quantitative descriptive approach with the aim of comparing cost and time aspects between conventional methods and modular methods. The conventional approach involves working on site using conventional building materials, while the modular approach involves the use of pre-fabricated modules. In analyzing the costs and time of construction of the Grabag Sub-district office building, Purworejo Regency, Microsoft project application was used to calculate the duration of the work. The cost analysis show that building structure work using the conventional method costs Rp.3,086,929,413.11, while the modular method costs Rp.3,646,018,620.52. So the difference in the cost of construction work is Rp.559,089,207.42 or 18.11% higher for work using the modular method. The time analysis obtained building structure work using conventional methods require 150 days while the modular method is 87 days or time efficiency of 63 days or 42% lower for work with modular methods.  The results of the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) calculation showed that the total project cost for conventional construction was Rp.2,781,017,489 while the cost for modular construction was Rp.3,117,530,328. So a difference of Rp.336,512,839 is higher for modular construction. Therefore, conventional construction is the most economical option for the sub-district building.

Abstract

The "EPC Talavera" Tuban Project is one of the major projects located in Tuban. Given that the construction of the Blending Silo is being built at a considerable height and certainly requires a large foundation structure, the construction of the Blending Silo carries a relatively high risk of workplace accidents. The purpose of this research is to identify workplace accident risks and evaluate the causes, impacts, and risk responses to accidents during the construction of the substructure of the Blending Silo in the "EPC Talavera" project. To determine the dominant workplace accident risks, risk assessment is performed using probability and severity calculations based on the Risk Management Standard AS/NZ 4360:1999, resulting in an Importance Index value. The method used to evaluate the causes, impacts, and risk responses to workplace accidents is the Bowtie Analysis Method. The results of this research indicate that the most dominant workplace accident risks are the risk of workers being pierced by sharp equipment, the risk of fingers getting caught in the bar bender machine, and the risk of workers being shocked/electrocuted by electrical currents. Based on the bowtie method, the most dominant causes of workplace accidents are scattered sharp equipment, careless/inattentive/unhealthy workers, inadequate equipment, poor bar bender machine conditions, bar bender machine operating methods, exposed welding tool cables, rainy/extreme weather conditions, and electrical current leaks in welding tool bodies. The most dominant impacts of workplace accidents are minor injuries, serious injuries/death, fires, and damage to the bar bender machine. Using the bowtie method, risk responses or controls for the most dominant workplace accident risks are also analyzed, along with an analysis of escalation factors and their controls.

Abstract

Semarang PU Politeknik Building Construction Project is the construction of an educational building area developed in collaboration between PT Wika Gedung and PT Yodya Karya with a construction management consultant contract value of 3.9 billion and an executing contractor contract value of 281 billion. In this research, a research method with a quantitative descriptive approach was taken. This means that in this project, the condition of the project is described based on the analysis of the data obtained from the project. The data is then processed using descriptive and analytical methods. The Earned Value or EV concept method studies comparing the value of the work completed against the budget provided to carry out the work. The result of this research is to analyze using the Primavera P6 program whether the project is running at an appropriate cost and a schedule that does not deviate from the contract. The results of the analysis obtained for the implementation of the weekly analysis of the Earned Value indicator value obtained is positive which means that in the entire week of analysis, the project runs faster and more economically. The EAC and ETC values obtained are smaller than the contract cost, indicating that the project is planned to be completed at a smaller cost. The deviation value obtained is at an average of 0.08% with the smallest deviation being 0.0794% so the project will experience a profit of 8% on the completion date.

Abstract

The Indonesian University of Education faced project delays that had an impact on the budget and timing of the Postgraduate Building's development. The UPI Postgraduate Building is being constructed using traditional methods, which results in a lengthy amount of work. The aforesaid issue might have a solution in the modular approach. The modular approach can swiftly meet significant customer demands since it has a production technique for creating components that are mass-produced. The conventional method's implementation costs and timeline are being contrasted with the modular method's implementation costs and timeline. The cost and construction time of traditional walls and modular walls which use precast concrete materials and lightweight concrete panels are compared for wall components. To make the optimal decision, the analysis was done using the comparison technique and the cost-effectiveness analysis approach. From the results of the analysis, the use of precast concrete and lightweight concrete panels experienced cost inefficiencies of 17.92% and 11.75% but were able to save time 62.03% and 34.78% respectively. Based on the Cost Effectiveness Analysis, an alternative material that was a more cost-effective choice was precast concrete walls.
