Abstract

The objectives of the present study are to: 1) find knowledge and understanding of the concept of CAR related to guidance and counseling, 2) define professional competencies that support profession as a prospective counselor/professional counseling teacher, 3) systematically and scientifically understand the stages of classroom action research related to guidance and counselling. The research activities apply the lecture, discussion/question and answer method, and training in writing class action research proposals related to guidance and counseling. Seminars and training for writing class action research proposals related to guidance and counseling involve guidance and counseling students in semesters 4, 6 and 8 of Guidance and Counseling Program of FKIP UNCEN. The results of the study found that students who answered ‘strongly agree’ were 22.86% and those who answered ‘agree’ were 77.14%. In conclusion, all students who attend seminars and training in writing CAR proposals related to guidance and counseling can understand and comprehend well the importance and benefits of CAR related to BK material for prospective guidance and counseling teachers in schools.

Abstract

The present Field Work Lecture activity aimed to: 1) provide an information service medium in the form of a bulletin board at school, 2) help students receive regular information services, 3) help students develop themselves and their ability to make decisions through the provision of concrete information services, and 4) facilitate Guidance and Counseling teachers to provide interesting and innovative information services. This activity applied the observation method and carried out work and evaluation programs. This field work lecture activity involved 10 students in the 5th semester and 2 supervisors from the Guidance and Counseling Program, Teaching and Education Faculty, Cendrawasih University. The activity was carried out for 1 week in the SMP Negeri Muara Tami Kota Jayapura, Papua environment. The research findings were obtained from all accumulated questions/statements in which students answered 'strongly agree' as much as 32%, students answered 'agree' as much as 18%, students answered 'quite agree' as much as 8%, students answered 'disagree' as much as 14% , and students answered 'strongly disagree' as much as 28%. Thus, it was concluded that 58% of students of SMP Negeri Muara Tami received and felt helped by providing information services through the provision of bulletin boards.

Abstract

The current community service seminar aimed to increase public insight regarding the use of information technology as a medium that expedites and facilitates educational, health, economic, business, socio-cultural and political activities. This activity for community service used lecture, discussion or question and answer methods. Then, the method for the problem-solving framework consisted of: 1) the preparation stage, 2) the discussion stage for community service material, and 3) the evaluation stage, as well as seminars related to community participation in dealing with advances in information in the digitalization era. This seminar activity involved elements of the local government which included the Kemtuk Gresi District/Sub-District Head, village heads in the Kemtuk Gresi District, the Kemtuk Gresi Customary Council and youth elements (KNPI of Kemtuk Gresi District) of Jayapura Regency, especially the millennial generation, community elements such as religious leaders , educational leaders, and traditional leaders. Based on the research results, 34 community members (97.14%) stated that science and technology (S&T) is beneficial in the globalization era for people's lives, but 1 community member stated that science and technology (S&T) does not necessarily bring benefits to life. Thus, it was concluded that most members of the community who attended the community service seminar on community participation in dealing with advances in information technology (digitalization era) understand and comprehend the positive and negative influences of science and technology for life and young people in the era of globalization. Meanwhile, a small number of people make use of science and technology in their daily lives both to support student learning activities, social activities and facilitate economics and business.

Abstract

Kelulusan tepat waktu merupakan indikator penting keberhasilan pendidikan tinggi, namun masih dijumpai cukup banyak mahasiswa yang melampaui masa studi standar delapan semester untuk jenjang sarjana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling FKIP Universitas Cenderawasih lambat dalam menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah sepuluh mahasiswa aktif angkatan 2019-2021 yang masa studinya telah melampaui delapan semester (berada pada semester 10-14), yang dipilih melalui teknik stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumen akademik, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlambatan penyelesaian studi dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal, yaitu faktor ekonomi (100%), prokrastinasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas perkuliahan dan tugas akhir (80%), menikah atau berkeluarga semasa studi (70%), serta hambatan dalam berkonsultasi dengan dosen (50%). Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan manajemen waktu yang efisien dan regulasi diri bagi mahasiswa, pembimbingan skripsi yang intensif dan suportif oleh dosen, pemantauan kemajuan akademik oleh dosen pembimbing akademik, serta dukungan kelembagaan berupa bantuan ekonomi dan layanan bimbingan kelompok agar mahasiswa dapat menyelesaikan studi tepat waktu.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk 1) agar guru bimbingan dan konseling mampu melaksanakan PKC-KO ini kepada siswa, 2) agar generasi penerus bangsa yakni siswa memiliki karakter cerdas sesuai norma pancasila dan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat, 3) agar siswa mampu melaksanakan, menghayati, mengamalkan dan menaati norma pancasila dan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pegabdian kepada masayarakat ini adalah metode pelatihan dan penerapan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan buku saku PKC-KO sebagai pegangan dan panduan saat pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pelatihan dan penerapan ini dilaksanakan da dipandu oleh para dosen dan mahasiswa dari program studi bimbingan dan konseling, jurusan ilmu pendidikan fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas cenderawasih. Hasilnya diantaranya 1) luaran bagi peserta yang dicapai yaitu peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan pelaksanaan layanan dalam bimbingan dan konseling khususnya dengan menggunakan layanan PKC-KO, 2) bagi tim pengabdi, luaran yang dicapai adalah draf modul yang dapat digunakan kedepan untuk pelatihan dan penerapan PKC-KO guru bimbingan dan konseling, dan 3) Publikasi pada media online, yaitu website Jurnal Cemerlang: Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian, Pengembangan, Pengabdian pada Masyarakat dan Kerjasama (LP4MK) STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau.
