Abstract

Malaria adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh parasite bernama Plasmodium. Tercatat keseluruhan kasus malaria yang terjadi di Indonesia pada tahun 2019 adalah sebanyak 250.644 kasus. Dan kasus malaria tertinggi terjadi di provinsi Papua, yaitu sebesar 86% atau sebanyak 216.380 kasus. Di Provinsi Papua, penyakit malaria dialami oleh semua usia dan bulan-bulan terjadi peningkatan pasien penderita malaria juga sangat bervariasi. Hal ini mengakibatkan dinas Kesehatan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelompokan jenis malaria berdasarkan usia pasien dan bulan-bulan kejadian. Sebenarnya sudah ada penelitian yang menjelaskan pengelompokan jenis-jenis malaria, namun belum dijelaskan secara terperinci masing-masing kelompok malaria seperti Malaria Tropika, Malaria Tertiana, Malaria Quartana, Malaria Ovale. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, melakukan analisis cluster terhadap beberapa jenis malaria, usia dan bulan kejadian. Metode cluster yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Single Linkage dan K-Means. Selanjutnya kedua metode akan di evalusi menggunakan standar deviasi. Metode terbaik yang dapat digunakan untuk analisis cluster adalah metode yang memiliki nilai standar deviasi lebih kecil. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Papua. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, metode Single Linkage lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan K-Means. Dimana dari 50 pasien terdapat 47 pasien lebih dominan terkena penyakit malaria tertiana yaitu pada rentang usia remaja dan dewasa pada bulan juni. Sehingga diharapkan pemerintah Provinsi Papua dapat memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang pada rentang usia remaja dan dewasa. Karena hampir 94% penyakit malaria tertiana di derita oleh mereka yang berusia remaja dan dewasa.

Abstract

Coronavirus belongs to the coronaviridae family. The coronavirus family groups are alpha (α), beta (β), gamma (γ) and delta (δ) coronavirus. Although research related to covid-19 in several provinces in Indonesia has been conducted by several researchers so far there has been no research related to the Covid-19 model in Papua province. One of the obstacles faced by some researchers is related to the Covid-19 data parameters which are difficult to estimate, so that the model formulated could not describe the outbreak well. Therefore the aim of this study is to conduct a cumulative analysis of the 2020 Papua province Covid-19 using the Johnson SB distribution model. The methods used to perform the analysis are Kolmogorov Smirnov for testing the suitability of the Covid-19 data to the model, Johnson SB to show the data distribution model, Maximum Likelihood to estimate the parameters and the Johnson SB cumulative distribution function to describe the probability of Covid-19 data. 19 Papua Province in 2020. The secondary data on the number of Covid-19 cases in Papua, obtained from the Papua Provincial Health Office is used in this research. The results showed that, the highest increase in the number of patients every day, starting from September 1 2020 to October 31, 2020 for infected cases was on 16-17 September, by 274 patients. Meanwhile, most recovery (308 patients) happened to be on 30-31 October and the highest death (5 people) was on 27-28 September. The highest cumulative probability for cases of infection, recovery and death were (Confirmed <4965) = 0.3, Prob(Cured <6408) = 0.9 and Prob(died <91) = 0.4 respectively.

Abstract

Many researchers use Weibull distribution to analyze wind speed data parameters and so forth, but in this research Weibull distribution is used to analyze the frequency data magnitude of aftershock. We use different methods for estimating Weibull distribution parameters. Some methods are compared according to the mean square error (MSE) criteria to select the best method. The parameter estimation results from the data are then used to determine the mean and magnitude of the earthquake. Further data is depicted in a curve for analysis. The case study in this study uses an aftershock frequency data in Nabire district, Papua. After the test of conformity with Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, it is obtained that the data follows the Weibull distribution pattern. Further research results show that the best method among the three methods is the maximum likelihood method (MLE). Abstract

Angka Partisipasi Kasar (APK) merupakan indikator yang paling sederhana untuk mengukur daya serap penduduk usia sekolah di masing-masing jenjang. Beberapa tahun terakhir data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Papua menunjukan bahwa presentase APK khususnya Kabupaten Jayapura tidak mengalami kenaikan atau konstan disetiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi APK Kabupaten Jayapura di tahun 2022 sampai 2030 dengan metode Moving Average (MA). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data BPS Provinsi Papua dalam Angka, yaitu data presentase APK tahun 2010-2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa APK untuk tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan sederajat berusia 7-12 tahun naik secara gradual dari 120% menjadi 125% dan mencapai 134% secara berturut-turut pada tahun 2022, 2025 dan 2030. Sedangkan untuk tingkat SMP dan sederajat (berusia 13-15 tahun), APKnya pada tahun 2022, 2025 dan 2030 berturut-turut adalah sekitar 112%, 117% dan 124%. Selanjutnya pada tingkat SMA dan sederajat (16-18 tahun), APKnya pada tahun 2022, 2025 dan 2030 berturut-turut adalah sekitar 111%, 116% dan 123%. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa walaupun pada tingkatan SD dan sederajat APK peserta didik meningkat selama sepuluh tahun mendatang, secara umum trend APK diprediksikan bergerak menurun seturut dengan meningkatnya level pendidikan.

Abstract

After the government implemented the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in August 2021, COVID-19 cases in Papua Province had decreased by 46.2%. The daily average of COVID-19 cases in July decreased from 370 to 119 cases to be precise in August 2021. One of the Jayapura City government policies in early 2022 that aimed to break the chain of COVID-19 spread was to eliminate face-to-face learning for Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High, and High School education levels from February 15 - March 15, 2022. Previous research related to the analysis of the cumulative distribution of COVID-19 in Papua province had been carried out in 2021. It used data on COVID-19 cases for two months during September 1 - October 31, 2020. The researchers used the Johnson SB model. In contrast to previous studies, the present study aimed to use the distribution of Erlang, Fatigue Life, Frechet, Gamma, Logistics, Pareto, Pearson Type 5 and Weibull to perform a cumulative and survival analysis on positive cases of COVID-19 patients in Papua Province in 2021. In addition, This study used COVID-19 data from January to April 2021. The results showed that the analysis of COVID-19 data in Papua Province in 2021 can utilize the Fatigue Life, Frechet, Gamma, Logistics, Pearson Type 5 and Weibull models.

Abstract

The team of the community engagement service chose to use the topic of multiplication in this activity because the classical topic is still a scourge for students at the elementary to intermediate levels. This leads to students' rejection of mathematics learning although there are various methods of counting, such as mencongak, sempoa, kumon and jarimatika. The challenge of creatively critical thinking becomes the main concept in the learning process/ activity development at SMA Yapis Nimbokrang. The learning approach using the geometric method is introduced and applied in solving simple multiplication problems. The data used to measure the success of the method are the results of the pre- and post-tests. Overall there was an increase in the results of the pretest to the posttest, namely 92% of students liked and could understand the use of the geometric method for multiplication. Also, there are about 22% of students who have not used the geometry method optimally although there is a slight increase in the results of their pretest and posttest. Thus, the use of geometric methods in solving simple multiplication problems at SMA Yapis Nimbokrang is considered successful.Keywords: Multiplication; Geometric-Mean; SMA Yapis Nimbokrang

Abstract

Menurut data yang dirilis oleh United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) tentang situasi pendidikan di Papua, dimana 30% siswa di Provinsi Papua secara umum tidak menyelesaikan Pendidikan SD dan SMP. Di wilayah pedalaman Papua, kira-kira 50% peserta didik jenjang SD dan 73% SMP lebih memilih putus sekolah. Jika fenomena ini dibiarkan berlanjut, maka para siswa akan kesulitan dalam menentukan jurusan yang sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka baik di jenjang SMA, maupun jika para siswa ingin melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Beberapa tahun terakhir  ini, beberapa SMA di kota Jayapura sudah menggunakan hasil Intelligenz Struktur Test (IST) dalam menentukan jurusan siswa. Tim tes psikologi yang sering melakukan tes ini adalah para dosen dari Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) UNCEN. Namun tim Prodi BK juga terkadang mengalami kendala, jika siswa yang mengikuti tes dalam jumlah yang banyak. Akibatnya, waktu yang diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan satu subtes IST relatif lama. Terkadang terjadi error yang tak terduga dalam menentukan hasil tes menggunakan norma. Sehingga penelitian ini, akan digunakan tiga metode cluster yaitu : Single Linkage, Complete Linkage dan Average Linkage dalam menentukan jurusan siswa SMA. Penggunaan tiga metode ini tujuannya adalah bagaimana mengetahui metode yang paling sesuai dalam menentukan jurusan siswa SMA. Hasil dendogram memperlihatkan bahwa, jumlah jurusan yang dapat dibentuk adalah dua jurusan. Selanjutnya hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa, dari 305 siswa kelas X yang mengikuti tes minat dan bakat, terdapat hanya 7 siswa yang memenuhi syarat untuk masuk pada jurusan IPA dan 298 siswa memenuhi syarat untuk masuk pada jurusan IPS. Harapannya metode terbaik dapat menjadi rujukan sebagai bahan validasi. Selain itu, tim tes psikologi Prodi BK UNCEN dapat menjangkau seluruh SMA dan Sederajat di Provinsi Papua untuk melakukan tes psikologi dalam penentuan jurusan siswa.

Abstract

School Participation Rate (SPR), which is one of the indicators of successful education, includes the development or improvement of educational services in regions of Indonesia. Regarding the extent of each customary territory of Papua Province, there are very significant differences in SPR in the last 10 years, especially in 2010-2019. Some districts have experienced a drastic decline in their SPR in the last 4 years and some have fluctuating data. This study aims to compare the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) and Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) methods on SPR data at the elementary, junior high, senior high schools and equivalent levels in five customary territory of Papua Province. This study uses data on the percentage of SPR in 2010-2019 taken from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua Province. Based on the results of Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), SES method is better than WMA. It means that the SES method is a suitable method for forecasting fluctuating SPR data. Thus, SES can be a reference method for the government for forecasting SPR in the coming year. If researchers use more data and more complex variables, it will require additional applications such as Matlab and POM QM.

Abstract

Currently, the government faces so many issues, one of which is poverty. However, it is not a new thing since many other countries also face this classic issue. Poverty, from an economic point of view, is measured by the people's inability to meet basic needs for food, not food in terms of expenditure. Based on data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding poverty rates in Indonesia, several areas are included in the highest poverty rates including East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, Gorontalo and Papua. The poverty rates for this region are 21.21%, 17.99%, and 15.99%, respectively. In this regard, Papua has the highest poverty rate of the three provinces. According to BPS, the three poorest districts in Papua Province in 2017 included Deiyai Regency at 43.63%, Intan Jaya Regency at 42.23% and Yahukimo Regency at 39.33%. This study aimed to predict the poverty rate of Yahukimo district in 2025-2030. This research employed Double and Triple Exponential Smoothing methods. It used secondary data, namely data related to the poverty rate in Yahukimo Regency in percent (%) in 2003-2019. The results showed that the poverty rate data in 2025-2030 were 36.48%, 36.09%, 35.7%, 35.31%, 34.92% and 34.53% respectively. In other words, the poverty rate in Yahukimo Regency had decreased compared to previous years.

Abstract

The current community service seminar aimed to increase public insight regarding the use of information technology as a medium that expedites and facilitates educational, health, economic, business, socio-cultural and political activities. This activity for community service used lecture, discussion or question and answer methods. Then, the method for the problem-solving framework consisted of: 1) the preparation stage, 2) the discussion stage for community service material, and 3) the evaluation stage, as well as seminars related to community participation in dealing with advances in information in the digitalization era. This seminar activity involved elements of the local government which included the Kemtuk Gresi District/Sub-District Head, village heads in the Kemtuk Gresi District, the Kemtuk Gresi Customary Council and youth elements (KNPI of Kemtuk Gresi District) of Jayapura Regency, especially the millennial generation, community elements such as religious leaders , educational leaders, and traditional leaders. Based on the research results, 34 community members (97.14%) stated that science and technology (S&T) is beneficial in the globalization era for people's lives, but 1 community member stated that science and technology (S&T) does not necessarily bring benefits to life. Thus, it was concluded that most members of the community who attended the community service seminar on community participation in dealing with advances in information technology (digitalization era) understand and comprehend the positive and negative influences of science and technology for life and young people in the era of globalization. Meanwhile, a small number of people make use of science and technology in their daily lives both to support student learning activities, social activities and facilitate economics and business.
