Abstract

The purpose of  this study was determine the effect of the guided discovery  learning method in improving the activities and material mastery of students. The study design was a pretest-postest non equivalent group. The samples were VIIC  and VIID  classes selected by purposive sampling. This research data were qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data was the observation sheet of learning activities were analyzed descriptive. Quantitative data was the average test scores were analyzed using t-test and U test. The results showed that the learning activity students has increased, the present their views (84,72), ask questions (75,00),  and respond questions (77,78) . Mastery of students also was increasing, with the average value of  N-gain of 43,96. So, the guided discovery method was given influence of significan in increasing the activity and material mastery of students in the characteristics of  living creatures subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran guided discovery dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIC dan VIIID  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan , yaitu mengajukan pendapat (84,72), mengajukan pertanyaan  (75,00), dan menjawab pertanyaan (77,78). Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar  43,96. Dengan demikian,  pembelajaran menggunakan  metode guided discovery berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa pada materi pokok ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, metode guided discovery, penguasaan materi.

Abstract

This article aims to examine pre-prosperous families who are still able to maintain harmony in the household even though they are affected by the pandemic. As it is known that the Covid-19 Pandemic has caused most family economies to be unfavorable, so that it has become a problem in maintaining household harmony and integrity. Thus, this research discusses the efforts of pre-prosperous families in maintaining family harmony during the Covid-19 pandemic and examines it from the perspective of Islamic family law. The type of research used is field research. The research location is in Suka Mulya Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Primary data was obtained from interviews and observations, while secondary data was obtained from the literature concerned with the research object. The results of the study found that the efforts made by pre-prosperous families in maintaining family harmony even though they were affected by a pandemic were in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Islamic family law, namely getting closer to Allah, trying hard to fulfill their daily needs, doing things that positive, maintain communication between families and spend time with family.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis ialah kemampuan individu dalam merumuskan, menerapkan dan menafsirkan matematika dalam situasi nyata yang sangat penting dalam permasalahan kontekstual. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 61 Palembang. Penelitian ini dengan jenis deskriptif kualitatif  yang melibatkan 30 orang siswa dengan fokus pada tiga orang siswa yang  berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendaah. Tes dan wawancara merupakan teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis persentase tiap indikator dalam penelitian ini yakni, indikator formulate sebesar 22,22% dikategorikan kurang. Indikator employ dengan persentase 55,56% dikategorikan sedang dan  indikator interprete dengan persentase sebesar 40,44% dikategorikan sedang. Sedangkan rata-rata keselurahan dari ketiga indikator tersebut sebesar 40,74% dikategorikan sedang dengan indikator yang paling banyak muncul pada indikator kedua yaitu employ.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills through PMRI approach. This research method used descriptive qualitative by involving 9 students in Palembang city as research subjects. Data collection techniques used tests and interviews with descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this research showed that students who scored high in mathematical communication ability could write answers according to the indicators correctly and completely. In students who obtained a medium score, the student solved the problem according to the indicator but less precise and incomplete. While students who obtained a low score, these students have not been able to answer questions based on indicators of mathematical communication skills correctly and there are still many errors in solving the problems given. For future researchers to see students' mathematical communication skills can use other contextual problems. After analyzing the students' answers, the average result of students' answers is 72.23% which is categorized as moderate.
