Abstract

Abstract Socially and culturally, Indonesia is one of the very compounds in the world. This fact can be seen from socio-cultural and geographical life situation a very pluralist Indonesia. Aloofness and don't value one against the other in their life together are generally rooted in the social and cultural structure that does not reflect the equality tribe, race, religion, culture and between groups. Pressure and oppression perpetrated by groups of the society and culture of the majority against the minority in the field of social life, culture, economy and politics will bear the tension as well as social and cultural conflicts that are not endless and very detrimental to life together. Therefore need to be encouraged and carried out concrete efforts to develop the study of the diversity of social groups, cultures and ethnicities in order to draw up an educational curriculum of multiculturalism for the elementary school students to students in College. Education of multiculturalism can erode the attitude in addition to expected life of hypocrisy, egoistic and individualistic, but also helps a person to develop the process of identification and recognition of the reality of plurality. Multicultural education not only could produce human beings who have job skills but also the ability to understand, appreciate, and implement a live up to the values of democracy, humanity and plurality.

Abstract

Courtship is a relationship that is be lived when a man and woman to each other like each other and want to live a more serious relationship. Courtship is a process whereby a person learn give and take, it means learning to give and accept each other and learn Build an Attitude of responsibility. Demanding challenges experienced person should manage themselves, bring a sense of independence responsibility and manhood. Motivation to learn can come from yourself, your family and a close friend (boyfriend) and friends. While the achievement is a result of the efforts of the work that has been achieved. Learning achievement is an attainment or results of operations of the acquired learning as learning activities. Courtship positive impact on motivation to learn is towards the availability of mutual support and encouragement, especially in terms of learning. When not assisting or encouraging it would weaken the motivation tolearn. While a courting positive impact on learning achievement is can obtain better results or maximum because they can help each other and compete fairly interms of learning. This research used a qualitative approach, the research data is done through a method of interviewing couples who are dating. Data analysis is done in three steps: data reduction, data presentation and verification of data. Results of the research revealed that 75% of respondents said courting as an intimate relationship between man and woman know each other in depth. The results also showed that 75% of respondents said that the positive impact of a boyfriend is encourage to improve motivation and learning achievement. Following the 50,2% of respondents said that courting to make the couple feel lazy to learn because it always uses a lot of time for dating.

Abstract

Corruption is against the law and abuse of authority for the sake of self-enrichment, a group of people or corporations. Transparency International institutions 2015 and 2016 have placed Indonesia as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Corruption in Indonesia has a very bad impact on various dimensions of society and nation life and can damage the economic system, democracy, politics, law, government and others. Although corruption is already so great, efforts to combat corruption have not shown optimal results. Seeing the difficulties of eradicating corruption, there needs to be a more serious and radical effort in the future to combat corruption in Indonesia, among others through: reforming political institutions, reforming the bureaucracy, formulating and implementing political ethical standards, enforcement that can give deterrent effect to corruptors , And the proper handling of corruption complaints procedures by the public.

Abstract

Gia Cinta Gumilang Sari “Improving the PAK Learning Outcomes through Group Discussion Method using Audiovisual Learning process for Grade V Elementary School of St. Bernardus in Madiun City”. Religious education teaching at Catholic Elementary School aimed to enable each student to build a more faithful Christian life. To build a faithful Christian life means to strengthen Christian faith and to integrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in daily life of Christian faithful. The application of conventional teaching methods in the learning process is no longer appropriate to the situation of today's learning process. It is because this method is more teacher-centered, and the teachers is playing too much active role in the learning process rather then students. Students just sit, listen, record and memorize whatever taught by teacher. As an effort to improve active involvement of students in teaching and learning process, the researcher feels need to apply a Learning Group Discussion Method using audiovisual learning process while teaching the subjects related to Jesus Christ and his incarnation, especially about the "Death and the Resurection of Jesus Christ. This Research Method is a Classroom Action Research. The term classroom action research is used to emphasize the class as a main setting of study. Classroom action research emphasizes on teacher's skills and techniques as to gain a more qualified information both to improve of learning process and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Upaya evangelisasi pada saat ini perlu diindentikan dengan upaya melawan arus besar zaman. Gelombang kapitalisme yang sedang menyusup masuk hampir ke semua bidang kehidupan dan imbasnya ialah semakin meningkatnya angka kerniskinan dan kemelaratan. Boleh dibilang, zaman ini adalah zamannya kapitalime dan masa suram kaum kecil, miskin, dan papa. Essensi keberadaan dan kehadiran agama-agama termasuk Gereja Katolik adalah memperjuangkan nasib dan hal hidup kaum miskin yang semakin bergantung pada kemurahan dan kebaikan kaum kapitalis. Tulisan ini memberi kontribusi khas bagaimana pemberdayaan sosial ekonomi masyarakat kecil menjadi bentuk hidup dan membebaskan mereka dari ketergantungan pada kaum kapitalis, elit politik dan pengusaha besar, evangelisasi yang berpihak kepada kaum miskin papa dengan maksud meningkatkan kesejahteraan hidup. Bagaimana mereka dituntun untuk berdaya dan menemukan sendiri apa yang mereka idam-idamkan tanpa harus bergantung kepada kaum kapitalis dan elit politik.

Abstract

Charity of the Church is a social activity developed continuously by the Church to respond human sufferings. This action needs an active participation of the people in the Church, including adults. In fact, the young involve less in charity works of the Church due to some challenges such as laziness and technology development which has consumed a lot of their times. This study applied a qualitative research approach. Qualitative research is a kind of research which focuses in understanding and analyzing human attitude, opinion, emotion and behavior about a specific social phenomenon being studied. The objectives of this research are to analyze the understanding of adults about charity works of the Church, how far they get involved in charity works of the Church, and the efforts taken by the adult themselves, their parents and the Church to make the young people to be more involved in charity works of the Church. To counter such challenges, there have been particular efforts taken by the catholic youth themselves, their families and the Church to help catholic youth people to be more involved in charity works of the Church. Such efforts were including the effort to develop a good communication with their friends who have involved in charity works and both parents and the Church tried to give more motivation to the young to involve more in the Church charity works.

Abstract

Differences in language, customs, and culture in Indonesian society are reality that can not be denied. It is indeed recognized by the Indonesian nation, and will continue to happen since past, present and in times to come. The diversity of the people of Indonesia can be a blessing because it brings extraordinary cultural richness. This cultural wealth wisely when processed will be a beautiful mosaic and the force of national nasional.Kekuatan is not only necessary to strengthen the unity of the nation but also to provide a similar, equal, and fair for everyone, communities and cultures in Indonesia to participate actively in the development of the country and nation. This paper was written to discuss the nature of multiculturalism, the potential power and social conflicts are rooted in the problems of multiculturalism, as well as education multikulturalism as a national strategy to give understanding, understanding and experience of the people and the Indonesian people about the significance of the spirit of togetherness, mutual respect, mutual love, mutual tolerance and mutual understanding between each other, although different in race, ethnicity, race, culture, religion and beliefs.

Abstract

Jalur pendidikan formal cenderung mencetak banyak intelektual berkelas yang ruang geraknya cenderung tidak lebih dari mimbar kuliah, seminar, dan ruang diskusi. Mereka pandai berkonsep dan bahkan menelurkan banyak teori baru. Namun, dalam dunia praktis keseharian, mereka adalah kelompok berjarak, kaum teralienasi yang asing dalam dunianya sendiri. Artikel ini memberi sumbangan pemikiran bahwa intelektual yang sejati adalah intelektual yang ada dan hadir dalam situasi konkret keseharian hidup masyarakat. Abstract

The poor in Luke 9:10-17 refers to those who lack of food, suffering various physical illness and those who are yearning for God. The main reason for Jesus to deliver such services for the poor is because Jesus is a good shepherd who has to present the love of God to God's peoples. The most concrete of Jesus' services to the poor revealed by the power of Himself to feed the hungers, to heal the illness, and to spread the Kingdom (love) of God to those who are yearning for God's love and help. After doing glorious things for the poor, Jesus then demanding those who have been experiencing God's love to be more faithful to God and doing good things for others. The research applied a qualitative method which tried to collect and analyze data of the study verbally. This means that the research did not apply a statistical method in analyzing data. The reason of choosing qualitative method is due to the data of study collected directly in the field of study through a so-called in-depth interview with respondents of the study. Aside from this, qualitative research could be cultivated to construct a more comprehensive information and knowledge pertaining to the subject being studied. The results of data analysis shown that majority of respondents basicallyhad shown particular concerns to the poor. Concrete concerns were revealed by respondents in empowering the poor throughout SSV's programs related toagricultural activities, animal husbandry and scholarship aid. The challenges experienced by respondents in helping the poor were related to the limitation of their times, energies, and financial resources. Even though, the respondents said that they have had tried their best to overcome those challenges by spending a more regular times to involve with the poor, spending some of their monthly incomes for the poor; strengthening their own faith on God, encouraging others to help the poor, and to educate and guide the poor to be self-help.

Abstract

Bagi intelektual Katolik, menulis artikel opini untuk koran, majalah dan surat kabar tidak sekedar penyebarluasan ide atau gagasan untuk membentuk serta mempengaruhi pemikiran dan sikap publik tentang isu atau persoalan tertentu. Sebaliknya, penulisan artikel opini pada tempat pertama perlu dilihat sebagai bagian dari panggilan Ilahi untuk melakukan karya evangelisasi tentang keadilan, kebenaran, kedamaian, kesetiakawanan, pembelaan dan perlindungan terhadap hak-hak asasi manusia. Artikel opini ditulis untuk mempromosi kebenaran hakiki di tengah masyarakat tentang pribadi manusia sebagai ciptaan Ilahi. Diperlukan pemahaman, latihan dan keterampilan menulis artikel opini.
