Abstract

The process of education and learning will work effectively if it is in a conducive, warm, fun, interesting and comfortable environment. Therefore, teachers should understand the various teaching strategies with their various characteristics, so as to be able to choose appropriate teaching strategies and be able to use them varying in accordance with the expected goals or competencies. The purpose of this study is to improve the activities and learning outcomes of learners through the Strategy of learning Index Card Match on science subjects basic subject of simple aircraft class V Even semester in SD Negeri 2 Bungatan Lessons Year 2013 / 2014.Desain this study is a model of Hopkins scheme with using 4 phases: planning, action / action, observation and reflection. To obtain data in this study using the method of observation, interview and test. Data analysis in this research use qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of research on the implementation of the second cycle of student activation observation indicates an increase. It can be seen on student activity which has a high enough increase compared to observation conducted in cycle I that there is an increase of 6,25% that is 84,52% at student activity observation cycle I to become 90,77%. While the results of student learning at the meeting cycle II obtained data 4 students who are not complete from 28 students who follow the daily test, because the students score less than 70 from a score of 100 and 24 students have completed in the classical reach 85.71% and students are not complete 14.29%. Student learning outcomes in cycle II have improved quite well when compared with before the action and cycle I. Based on the results of research and analysis of the discussion that has been done, it can be concluded that: Implementation of Learning Strategy Index Card Match can Increase Activity and learning outcomes on science subjects simple subject matter plane at SD Negeri 2 Bungatan Lesson Year 2013/2014.

Abstract

As a vulnerable group, elementary school students need to be directly involved in disaster risk reduction through learning at school. Local wisdom in disaster risk reduction, bridging the gap with modern risk reduction. This study aims to produce a model in science learning by using local wisdom learning resources for disaster risk reduction. The data analysed were articles focused on local wisdom in Indonesia using qualitative meta-analysis. The data source is articles published in indexed journals by Scopus, with the criteria of selected articles (research or review) related to local wisdom in disaster risk reduction in Indonesia. The research findings are that (1) indigenous communities have original cognitive thinking skills for responding to disasters and (2) a conceptual science learning model based on indigenous knowledge to train students' responses to disasters. Disaster risk reduction by directly involving vulnerable groups (elementary school students) provides benefits: students will learn about disasters, understand actions before a disaster occurs, understand the process of saving themselves when a disaster occurs, and be directly involved in emergency response.

Abstract

An understanding of natural disasters that may occur in the environment around students is expected to facilitate their scientific reasoning by enabling them to explain natural phenomena using knowledge. This study aims to test the effectiveness of Science Student Worksheets on natural disasters in improving scientific reasoning skills and environmental sensitivity among fifth-grade Elementary School students. The research method used is the 4D Research & Development model. The results of the study show that the developed product is valid, effective, and practical in improving scientific reasoning skills and environmental sensitivity. The digital platform is an effective solution for 21st-century learning that focuses on enhancing high-level thinking skills and utilising digital learning technology.

Abstract

This paper describes the instrument validity for digital learning resources for coastal areas based digital in the elementary school by using Aiken's V analysis. The purpose of the research is to develop an instrument that can be seen as the validity for every instrument item to obtain information about the need for digital-based coastal area disaster learning resources in elementary schools. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research method. Instrument design and validation were carried out in three stages; (a) literature review, (b) instrument draft design, and (c) qualitative and quantitative rater review of the instrument. Content validity is validated using the V Aikens coefficient. The content validity coefficient is measured by 8 raters based on the assessment results. It is assessed based on certain scales, which consisted of strongly agree (scale 4), agree (scale 3), disagree (scale 2), and strongly disagree (scale 1). The research results indicate that aspect 1, with four instrument items, is in the high category. For aspect 2, three instruments are in the high category. Aspect 3 with three instruments is in the moderate category. For aspect 4, two instruments are in the moderate category. Aspect 5 with three instruments is in the moderate category. In aspect 5, there are two high-category instrument items and three medium-category instrument items. It is concluded that out of the 22 items of needs analysis, in general, it was valid. Nevertheless, several instrument items needed to be reviewed, namely on the editorial aspect of the statement.
