Abstract

This research investigates the effect of utilizing the Educandy educational game platform on the learning motivation of elementary school students at SD 035 Tarai Bangun, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The study employed a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the effectiveness of Educandy in boosting students' motivation. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling, and data were gathered through a validated motivation questionnaire. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' motivation, with post-intervention scores averaging higher than pre-intervention scores. The statistical analysis, using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, confirmed that the use of Educandy games had a positive influence on learning motivation, with an N-gain categorized as moderate. This finding suggests that Educandy games can serve as a practical alternative for enhancing students' learning motivation in elementary education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop an E-Module on Career Understanding to improve the foundation related to self-understanding and the career world of high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The resulting product was validated by subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts, and tested on a small group of 10 students from Pekanbaru 1 Public High School. The validation results showed that the Career Understanding E-Module was declared highly valid by subject matter experts (92.05%), media experts (100%), and language experts (98.33%). The small group trial also produced positive responses with a practicality percentage of 95.60%, indicating that this module is effective and easy to use by students. This E-Module is designed with interactive features such as gamification, videos, and animations to facilitate career understanding, covering self-understanding, work world exploration, and career planning materials. This research contributes to the field of guidance and counseling by providing innovative digital media to help high school students plan their careers. Recommendations for further research include expanding the scope of the material and conducting effectiveness tests on a larger scale.

Abstract

This paper describes the instrument validity for digital learning resources for coastal areas based digital in the elementary school by using Aiken's V analysis. The purpose of the research is to develop an instrument that can be seen as the validity for every instrument item to obtain information about the need for digital-based coastal area disaster learning resources in elementary schools. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive research method. Instrument design and validation were carried out in three stages; (a) literature review, (b) instrument draft design, and (c) qualitative and quantitative rater review of the instrument. Content validity is validated using the V Aikens coefficient. The content validity coefficient is measured by 8 raters based on the assessment results. It is assessed based on certain scales, which consisted of strongly agree (scale 4), agree (scale 3), disagree (scale 2), and strongly disagree (scale 1). The research results indicate that aspect 1, with four instrument items, is in the high category. For aspect 2, three instruments are in the high category. Aspect 3 with three instruments is in the moderate category. For aspect 4, two instruments are in the moderate category. Aspect 5 with three instruments is in the moderate category. In aspect 5, there are two high-category instrument items and three medium-category instrument items. It is concluded that out of the 22 items of needs analysis, in general, it was valid. Nevertheless, several instrument items needed to be reviewed, namely on the editorial aspect of the statement.

Abstract

This paper discusses the improvement of students’ learning outcomes through the application of LKPD (Students’ Worksheet) based on local wisdom. Indonesian local character is essential to be taught to students including through teaching materials in the form of LKPD based on local wisdom that can be used as a reference in the teaching and learning process. LKPD is one of the teaching materials in which there are all the basic activities carried out by students in order to maximize their understanding and formation of basic skills based on the indicators of competency achievement. The research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the research design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model. The research was conducted at SDN 189 Pekanbaru. The research subjects involved 20 fourth-grade students. The research uses quantitative data analysis. Descriptive statistical data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and evaluation tests at the end of the cycle. Based on the results of cycle I to cycle II, there was a significant improvement with an achievement percentage of 75%. 35% of students have not achieved the KKM standard yet. The students’learning outcomes in social science learning through the application of LKPD learning media based on local wisdom increased. The students’ average score increased from the initial reflection of 62.25 with the highest score at 80 and the lowest score from 35 to 74.00. Thehighest score was 90 and the lowest score was 40 in cycle I. Even though it was not appropriate with the KKM that had been determined in cycle II, it increased to 80.00 with the highest score of 90 and the lowest score of 55.
