Abstract

The growing need for adobe bricks as a substitute for lead to an increase in demand for cement as brick-forming material that needs to be done to reduce their use of innovation, one using glass powder. The initial idea of thinking that the chemical elements that exist on the glass some of which are the same as in the cement, the silica (SiO2). This study uses a glass powder as a substitute against the weight of cement. Glass powder used consisted of two types of glass powder passes sieve No. 100 retained on the 200 mesh (BSKø100-ø200) and glass powder escaped sieve No. 200 (BSK <ø200) with six kinds of mixed composition of 0%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Analysis of the data by using the provisions of SNI 03-0349-1989. The results showed the entire BSK qualify for the water absorption of solid concrete brick quality I by SNI 03-0349-1989. Visual examination showed BSK surfaces have angled, flat, and free from cracks. BSK0% compressive strength of 95,289kg / cm2 and the compressive strength is highest in BSK <ø200_20% of 91,422kg / cm2 and the quality I belong to the SNI 03-0349-1989. Tensile strength BSK0% of 16,268kg / cm2 and the tensile strength is highest on-ø200 BSKø100 percentage of 15% of 19,464kg / cm2. Overall it is known that BSK <ø200 persentse 20% is the percentage of the nicest to be applied next.

Abstract

Kawasan Sumatera Utara terdapat dua lempeng aktif (Eurasia) dan beberapa gunung berapi yang aktif, dan berpotensi menimbulkan gempa yang dapat merusak struktur rumah tinggal. Tingginya aktivitas vulkanik gunung Sinabung beberapa tahun terakhir hingga menimbulkan gempa sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat Sumatera Utara. Masyarakat Sumatera Utara memiliki Istana Maimun, sebuah bangunan bersejarah yang didesain tahan terhadap gempa, sebelum adanya aturan dan standarisasi bangunan tahan gempa ada. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jalan Brigjen Katamso, Kecamatan Medan Maimun, Kota Medan. Struktur dimodelkan menjadi frame dan model 3D. Dilakukan analisis ketidakberaturan struktur dan respon spektra dengan SAP 2000. Istana Maimun teratur secara horizontal tetapi tidak beraturan secara vertikal yaitu ketidakberaturan massa, geometri vertikal, diskontinuitas arah penahan gaya horizontal. Dari hasil analisis SAP 2000, diperoleh reaksi struktur dan batasan yaitu periode struktur 0,335 detik (< 0,4676 detik), gaya geser dasar 1455,476 kN (> 80% Vstatis = 1324,7 kN), , simpangan maksimum sebesar 7,301 mm (< 150 mm). Berdasarkan parameter tersebut, disimpulkan Istana Maimun aman terhadap gempa. Kata Kunci: Gaya Geser Dasar, Ketidakteraturan, Periode Struktur, Reaksi Struktur, Simpangan ABSTRACT In North Sumatra, there are two active plates (Eurasia) and several active volcanoes, which have the potential to cause earthquakes that can damage residential structures. The high volcanic activity of Mount Sinabung in recent years to cause an earthquake has greatly affected the lives of the people of North Sumatra. The people of North Sumatra have the Maimun Palace, a historic building designed to withstand earthquakes, before the rules and standards for earthquake-resistant buildings existed. This research was conducted on Jalan Brigjen Katamso, Medan Maimun District, Medan City. Structures are modeled into frames and 3D model. An analysis of structural irregularities and response spectra with SAP 2000 was performed. Maimun Palace is horizontally regular but vertically irregular, namely mass irregularity, vertical geometry, direction discontinuity in resisting horizontal forces. From the results of the SAP 2000 analysis, the structural reaction and boundary obtained are structure period 0.335 seconds (< 0.4676 seconds), basic shear force 1455,476 kN (> 80% Vstatic = 1324.7 kN), maximum deviation of 7.301 mm ( < 150 mm). Abstract

Human daily activities can not be separated from clean water, ranging from bathing, washing, drinking and cooking. Groundwater is one of the sources of water used to obtain clean water. In coastal areas or river estuaries in developing countries, villagers generally have difficulty getting clean water. Jaring Halus Village is located in Secanggang district, Langkat regency, North Sumatra Province. The village is bordered by the ocean and mangrove forests, where transportation access is difficult and limited. This village has received clean water services from the PDAM government, but the water flowing into people's homes has been increasingly choked. Several drill wells have been provided by the government but can only be found at a distance of 100-200 m from the beach. This cause underlies the Community Service Program team choosing a location in The Village of Jaring Halus. This activity aims to obtain clean water. This activity aims to get the clean water needs of residents by making drill wells, providing water storage tanks and installing water faucet installations in designated locations. With this facility, all village communities can accommodate and utilise clean water for daily needs.
