Abstract

Asean Economic Community (AEC) has given a new challenges to Indonesia to maintain its products, include horticulture commodities, such as potato. One of potatoes production centers in Indonesia is Karo Regency, North Sumatera. The purpose of this study are to identify supply chain’s structures and internal-external factors to formulate strategies for increasing potato competitiveness in Karo Regency. Data analyzed by Descriptive analysis, TOWS, and Pairwise Comparison. The results of this study is there are four priority strategies for Karo Regency in increasing it competitiveness, such as: 1) Training farmers to improve farmer’s ability, independence, and institutional welfare through the establishment of Desa Percontohan; 2) Increasing the plant diseases treatment through the optimalization of agriculture clinic; 3) Improve farmer’s ability to work in collaboration with bussines partner through promotion of agricultural products; and 4) Increasing the development of potatoes’s superior seeds.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesia is one of the largest Moslem population countries in the world. It leads to the increasing of halal product demand in Indonesia. The awareness to consume halal product becomes a large market potential for producers to produce their halal products. Nowadays, halal is not only purely about religion matter, but also about business and trade. The objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting customers on purchasing halal buying interest on processed food. We use a purposive sampling method with 109 respondents who are customers of the supermarkets and minimarkets in Bogor City/District, Indonesia. While data analysis is done by SEM-PLS method, this study uses brand image, perceived quality, perceived value, halal certification, health reason, halal awareness, and halal marketing as the factors which are affecting the halal purchase intention of the customers. The result showed that health reason, halal awareness, and perceived value have a significant and positive direct effect on purchasing intention. Halal marketing also shows a significant and positive effect on purchasing intention. While halal marketing shows a negative and significant effect on purchasing intention. The food safety, halal certification, brand image, and perceived quality show the same effect which has no direct effect on purchasing intention. Furthermore, food safety has an indirect effect on purchasing intention through health reason. Halal certification has an indirect effect on minat beli through brand image variable. Meanwhile, brand image and perceived quality have an indirect effect through perceived value variable on purchasing intention. ABSTRAKIndonesia adalah salah satu negara dengan populasi Muslim terbesar di dunia. Hal ini menyebabkan meningkatnya permintaan produk halal di Indonesia. Kesadaran untuk mengkonsumsi produk halal menjadi potensi pasar yang besar bagi produsen untuk memproduksi produk halal mereka. Saat ini, halal tidak hanya murni soal agama, tapi juga soal bisnis dan perdagangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat pelanggan dalam membeli pada makanan olahan halal. Kami menggunakan metode voluntery sampling dengan 109 responden yang merupakan pelanggan supermarket dan minimarket di Kota/Kabupaten Bogor, Indonesia. Sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan metode SEM-PLS. Penelitian ini menggunakan citra merek, persepsi kualitas, persepsi nilai, sertifikasi halal, kesehatan, kesadaran halal, dan Pemasaran halal sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi niat pembelian halal pelanggan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran halal, alasan kesehatan, dan persepsi nilai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap niat beli. Pemasaran halal juga menunjukkan efek positif dan signifikan terhadap niat beli. Sedangkan pemasaran halal menunjukkan efek negatif dan signifikan terhadap niat beli. Keamanan pangan, sertifikasi halal, citra merek, dan kualitas yang dirasakan menunjukkan efek yang sama yang tidak berpengaruh langsung pada niat beli. Selanjutnya, keamanan pangan berpengaruh tidak langsung terhadap niat beli melalui alasan kesehatan. Sertifikasi halal memiliki efek tidak langsung terhadap niat beli melalui variabel citra merek. Sedangkan citra merek dan persepsi kualitasmemiliki pengaruh tidak langsung melalui persepsi nilai variable terhadap niat beli.

Abstract

Today the performance measurement of Muhammadiyah Luwuk uUniversity’s performance has not formulated yet based on University’s vision and mission. It will affect the strategic steps needed and performance improvement efforts in the future. Human resource scorecard is the right system to be applied in Muhammadiyah Luwuk University. The purpose of this study is to designed a performance measurement system at Muhammadiyah Luwuk University using the Human Resource Scorecard with four perspectives: stakeholder, academic management and kemuhammadiyaan, operational and innovation, as well as and learning. Data was analyzed by analytical hierarchy process method. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires, focus group discussions and in-depth interview with stakeholders at Muhammadiyah Luwuk University. The results showed that there were 14 strategic objectives and 33 key performance indicators to be achieved by the priority objectives, which are: empowerment and development of faculty, increased administrative process quality, improved sound budget performance and, improvement of the relationship with stakeholders.

Abstract

The research analyzes the financial resources, intangible assets (innovation capital, human capital, and customer capital), competitive advantage and financial performance, also analyzing its effect and analyzing business feasibility from the point view of Net Present Value (NPV), Profitability Index (PI), Payback Period (PP) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) on cow commodities, corn and seaweed (PIJAR). The method used is qualitative and quantitative, the respondent are choose by purposive sampling with the criteria of SME which conduct their business on cow commodities, corn and seaweed at Lombok NTB Region. This research is using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis which is a statistical method on varian basis. The research results obtained by the Financial Resource Capacity has well sufficient capacity of (3.29), Intangible Asset have well sufficient capacity of (3.86), well good for Competitive Strategy Excellence Cost of (3.92) and quite good Financial Performance. The influence among variables on the seaweed commodities : (1) Financial Resource does not affect the financial performance and price competitive competition, so the financial resources capacity is well good, although its not yet able to contribute on the financial performance; (2) Innovation capital affect on financial performances but do not affect on competitive strategy; human capital affect on the financial performance and competitive strategy; customer capital affect on the financial performance and competitive strategy; and (3) The business feasibility for PIJAR commodities are very well based on the view point of NPV, PP, PI and IRR.

Abstract

Cocoa is one of the plantation commodities whose role is quite important for the national economy of Indonesia. However, the cocoa industry faces several problems including the various risks involved in the cocoa supply chain. The aim of this study were: 1) Identify the various risks involved in the cocoa supply chain, 2) analyze and evaluate the supply chain actors members with the highest risk in the cocoa supply chain management, and 3) understand how to evaluate and mitigate the highest risk in the cocoa supply chain effectively and efficiently. An Integrated Analytic Network Process (ANP) and Weighted Failure Mode Effect Analysis (WFMEA) method will be used to determine and analyze the highest risk in the cocoa supply chain. The results of the priority of the members of the value chain in the cocoa supply chain risk management are the farmer (0.408) with the risk of having the greatest priority is production risk (0.221). Risk control could be done by improving the productivity and competitiveness of cocoa.Keywords: ANP, FMEA, cocoa, risk management, supply chainABSTRAKKakao merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang peranannya cukup penting bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Industri kakao menghadapi beberapa masalah termasuk berbagai risiko yang timbul dalam rantai pasokan kakao. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mengidentifikasi macam-macam risiko pada rantai pasok kakao, 2) menganalisis dan mengevaluasi anggota pelaku rantai pasok dengan risiko tertinggi dalam manajemen rantai pasok kakao, dan 3) mengetahui cara mengevaluasi dan memitigasi risiko tertinggi pada rantai pasok kakao dengan efektif dan efisien. Metode Analytic Network Process (ANP) dan Weighted Failure Mode Effect Analysis (WFMEA) terintegrasi digunakan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis risiko tertinggi dalam rantai pasokan kakao. Hasil prioritas anggota pelaku rantai pasok dalam manajemen risiko rantai pasokan kakao petani (0,408) dengan risiko yang memiliki prioritas terbesar adalah risiko produksi (0,221). Pengendalian risiko dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing kakao. Dengan demikian, pembinaan pendampingan secara langsung perlu dilakukan oleh industri pengolahan kakao terhadap para petani,serta sosialisasi dan pengawasan penerapan standar kualitas kakao. Sebaiknya dana yang terkumpul dari bea keluar dapat di share kembali ke daerah oleh pemerintah.Kata kunci: ANP, FMEA, kakao, manajemen risiko, supply chain

Abstract

Management Information System required at Departement of Sains Communication and Community Development is able to answer the needs of academic problems. The application of information technology for organizations, would be beneficial if the application in accordance with the purpose, vision and mission of the organization. which has been translated into communication efectiveness. With the qualitative method, this study provide which part of internal communication were lack and unefective. The use of information technology systems will be needed to support the success of the organization's objectives in the field of education in the future, the strategic planning technology development information and communication technologies (ICTs) can be used as a guide to improve the performance and competitive value of Departement of Sains Communication and Community Development.
