Abstract

Moral education is seen as part of national education goals. Moral education is considered as the first step indirecting students to a better path. This assessment is very realistic, considering the condition of students todayis increasingly alarming. Even though they are in an educational institution, students prefer to be uneducated.Some of them are trapped in various social crimes. Starting from criminal, criminal and other crimes. Thisappalling condition is a reflection for all parties, especially education practitioners. Education practitionersconsider it important to find alternative ways to improve this educational condition. There are educationaldirections and missions that are uprooted due to the temptations of the times. Thus, moral or moral educationwhen a situation like this is considered to be the answer to this problem.Key Word: Pendidikan, Akhlak, Moral Bangsa AbstrakPendidikan akhlak dipandang sebagai bagian tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pendidikan akhlak dinilai sebagailangkah awal dalam mengarahkan anak didik ke jalan yang lebih baik. Penilaian ini sangat realistis, mengingatkondisi pelajar dewasa ini semakin memprihatinkan. Meskipun berada di dalam lingkungan lembaga pendidikan,namun anak didik lebih suka menjadi oknum yang tidak terdidik. Sebagian dari mereka terjebak dalam berbagaikejahatan sosial. Mulai dari tindak pidana, kriminal dan kejahatan lainnya. Kondisi yang memprihatinkan inimenjadi bahan renungan bagi semua pihak lebih-lebih para praktisi pendidikan. Para pemerhati praktisi pendidikanmenganggap penting dalam mencari jalan alternatif untuk membenahi kondisi pendidikan ini. Ada arah dan misipendidikan yang tercerabut akibat godaan zaman. Maka, pendidikan moral atau akhlak di saat situasi seperti inidianggap akan menjadi jawan persoalan ini.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan, Akhlak, Moral Bangsa

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of PAI study program students in studying English courses. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, aiming to describe and analyze in depth the difficulties faced by students in taking English courses. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which involves selecting informants based on specific criteria, such as semester level and English learning experience. Data collection was carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. It can be concluded that students of the Islamic Education Department Study Program at STIT Aqidah Usymuni Sumenep face various difficulties in taking English courses. These difficulties include aspects of basic language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with the main obstacles being limited vocabulary, lack of understanding of grammar, and low self-confidence in communicating orally. The factors causing these difficulties come from internal aspects such as low motivation, minimal background in previous English language learning, and learning anxiety, as well as from external factors such as less varied teaching methods, limited learning media, and lack of language practice environments.

Abstract

Silent reading refers to the act of reading without vocalizing the words. With this in mind, the researcher aimed to explore students' silent reading comprehension. This study adopted a qualitative research approach. Qualitative research, involves the systematic collection of data to uncover underlying patterns or meanings using scientific methods, typically pursued by researchers interested in understanding the nature of a phenomenon. This research used students of the Islamic Education Department at STIT Aqidah Usymuni Sumenep as objects. The conclusion showed that silent reading can also inspire students to share diverse ideas while reading silently. Students can acquire more information when they read in a quiet environment. When the conditions allow students to read comfortably, their concentration improves, and they can easily grasp the key points of the English text.
