Abstract

Media can improve the quality of learning process. At the time of teaching, teachers must know the preferences and interest of student to the media in accordance with the psychology of his students, especially mentally disabled students. This study aims to inventory the exist- ing learning media in SDLB Saronggi Sumenep, and to know about the teacher’s efforts in improving the learning motivation of mentally disabled students by optimizing the use of ex- isting environment media in SDLB Saronggi, Sumenep. This research uses mixed methods, with research design using sequential explanatory. In SDLB Saronggi, learning media other than class, also has multipurpose room, video for learning, LCD projector, a shady schoolyard, shelves and creativity boards, fruits, props for learning, a set of traditional musical instru- ments Madura. The existence of various media can improve the motivation of learn mentally disabled students. Proven results using calculations Wilcoxon Scien R test earned value Zcount amount (-3,162), because of the score (-3,162) is a absolute score, greater than Ztable = 1,96 or (-3,162 > 1,96) then H0 rejected and Ha be accepted. It can be concluded that the environmental media around the school can improve motivation of learn mentally disabled students SDLB Saronggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the service standards of school counselors in helping students' problems in the global era, with a focus on counselor standards in the field of counselor competence and academic qualifications. This research is a qualitative research that reveals field findings by describing in depth the data obtained in the field. The data collection methods used in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that school counselors at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatut Thalibin had not fully met the counselor competency standards and academic qualifications described by the national education department. This imperfection occurs because school counselors have not collaborated with other professional experts such as psychologists and psychiatrists in dealing with problems experienced by students and they do not have a formal educational background, namely professional counselor education. The implementation of services by school counselors to students has been going well and quite innovative in keeping up with the times.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan elemen kunci dalam membentuk dasar yang kokoh bagi pertumbuhan individu dan masyarakat. Sekolah Dasar (SD) memiliki peranan signifikan dalam membentuk pondasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada tingkat dasar. Artikel jurnal ini fokus pada peninjauan peran komunikasi yang efektif dari guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar (SD). Artikel ini memfokuskan bagaimana guru menghadapi tantangan komunikasi efektif dalam menghadapi siswa Sekolah Dasar. Serta strategi seperti apa yang bisa diterapkan dalam membangun komunikasi efektif terhadap siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD).

Abstract

This research aims to improve one of the student's life skills using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. It applied a classroom action research design (PTK) which was carried out for three cycles. The PBL model used in this study is integrated into Civics subjects by looking at the accompanying impact, not the instructional impact of Civics learning. This study implemented observation as the instrument of research. Through not only the result of the observation sheet from the student direct life skills aspects which the action research was carried out but also observe the teacher activity using the PBL model and the student responses in using those aforementioned model. The technique used to analyze the data is divided into two techniques that are both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the application of the PBL model could not develop the students' life skills aspects.

Abstract

The parenting style provided by parents greatly influences a child's development, both physically and psychologically. This service aims to broaden parents' understanding of parenting practices at home. The purpose of the parenting service program through home visits is to educate parents or guardians about proper parenting practices that are aligned with the child’s developmental stage. When children are treated with an appropriate parenting style, it can stimulate their growth and development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results show that parenting guidance services can educate parents on how to raise school-aged children, enhance their understanding of the importance of parenting styles, support character development in children, and help build children's self-confidence.
