Abstract

There are some kinds of speaking assessments, the accuracy in choosing the type of assessment determines the success of the student in speaking English. This can be seen in Think-E course, Think-E course is successful in choosing the type of assessment so that the students in Think-E course can speak English fluently. The aim of the study is to describe types of assessments used in the English language Teaching at Think-E course, and how this assessment affects the speaking skills of the students in the Think-E course. The researcher focused on macro skills speaking because the teaching-learning process in Think-E uses communicative function according to situation, participants, and goals. The method used by the researcher is qualitative. The researchers collected the data through observation. The participants of this research were the students in Bee 2 class. The finding shows that there are three types of speaking assessment used in English language Teaching at the Think-E course, they are intensive assessment, responsive assessment, and interactive assessment. In conclusion, the assessment used in Think-E course affect the students dare to speak English and the students also get used to speaking English, so that they can speak English fluently.

Abstract

In the 4.0 and 5.0 era, as an educator, we are required to use technology- based media in the form of web, digital platforms, and certain applications that assist educators in delivering material. Many technology-based media are used by educators, one of which is Chatbot. Chatbot is a computer program that can communicate (having conversation) like humans via internet. The objectives of this service activity are 1) to increase teacher knowledge about technology-based learning media materials; 2) equipping skills to participants (educators) so that they can create their own chatbot. The target partners involved were 32 participants who were divided into 8 groups, but only 20 participants were able to complete chatbot, which was then divided into 5 groups which the participants consisting of teacher, lecturers, university students, and even high school students. The approach method in this service activity is in the form of training through google meet and WhatsApp group. The result of the activity is that participants can create their own chatbot to the theme that the participants want.

Abstract

The subject of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) is often considered to be textual memorization material, so there is a need for innovative learning media that is relevant to technological developments. This community service aims to provide assistance in creating local wisdom-based digital projects using a Deep Learning approach at Darul Quran High School in Mojokerto. The implementation method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves socialization, content development workshops, and technical assistance. The main focus of this project is the digitization of historical Islamic sites in Mojokerto using simple artificial intelligence technology for object classification and historical narration. The results of the community service showed an 85% increase in students' understanding of SKI material and a 78% increase in teachers' digital literacy skills. The integration of local wisdom in digital projects has proven to increase students' emotional attachment to Islamic history in their environment, while equipping them with future technology skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of ZEP Quiz as an innovative evaluation medium in Indonesian language learning, especially in news text material in grades XI-12 SMAN 1 Bangsal. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with 32 research subjects. Data was obtained through observation, evaluation, and digital documentation of learning results that were automatically recorded through the ZEP Quiz platform. The results showed that students showed high enthusiasm, actively answered questions, and were able to utilize digital features to support the learning process. The ZEP Quiz auto-recap feature provides fast, objective, and accurate information on learning outcomes. In addition, the use of ZEP Quiz creates an interactive and fun evaluation atmosphere, thereby increasing student motivation, engagement, and understanding of news text material. Thus, ZEP Quiz not only serves as an evaluation tool, but also as an active learning medium that supports the development of students' interests, motivation, and critical thinking skills in learning Indonesian in the digital era.
