Abstract

The negative impact of fossil-fueled plants and the lack of public understanding of renewable energy lies behind the holding of these PKM activities with the aim of educating and at the same time transferring technology that is directly beneficial to the community in the form of solar powered street lighting. From the surveys that have been conducted where there are no available street lighting facilities so that there are some community activities that are difficult to do at night. From this work, there were two important things, among others, that the community gained an understanding of renewable energy and knowledge to efficiently use energy to reduce the environmental impact of the dominant fossil power plant in Indonesia. The second is that with the help of solar-powered street lights, the community is very helpful in carrying out activities at night and creates more secure conditions in the community.

Abstract

Renewable energy, especially solar power plants (PLTS), is now begin to develop their applications to many forms, such as: installed as a home power supply, power supply for buildings, and also as power supply for street lighting (solar street light). Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancranji In this regard, as a partner, demand a socialization and a study for their students to understand more about renewable energy topics especially about solar energy. And the limited electric power is also one of the problems for this school. Therefore, PKM activity in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji is a solution given by the PKM team by providing learning and an introduction of renewable energy as well as workshop and installation of PLTS and road lamps based on solar cell. Results gained after the implementation of this activity are students understand and knows about the renewable energy, its application and its benefits in daily life.

Abstract

The use of renewable energy (EBT) is increasing to achieve the target of 23% by 2025. There needs to be a variety of preparations in welcoming the transition of fossil-based energy to renewable energy. One of them is by improving the quality of human resources that excel in developing the use of renewable energy in Indonesia. Through the Electrical Engineering PkM Team IT-PLN had the opportunity to provide counseling or education to the academic community of MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji. The activity is in the form of learning the installation of solar power plant components and the utilization of solar energy in the form of prototype portable plts. The learning improved students' understanding of renewable energy and was able to assemble photovoltaic system components into prototype portable plts with a capacity of 100 WP. Then the tool is tested using a lamp load of 9 watts to find out the amount of current and voltage produced. From this activity, it can be known that the students of MA Al-Khairiyah Rancaranji are very enthusiastic in knowing about renewable energy and can apply it in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is based on the existence of underground cable problems due to rainfall in certain areas, especially the Central Jakarta area results in an increase in soil moisture that can degrade the dielectric strength of the SKTM and potentially SKTM interference. Therefore, Tan Delta testing method is carried out as a predictive step to analyze the cable health condition and an early method to determine the good/bad of the test cable. After testing tan delta, it was obtained that the acquisition of segment 1 data results were in good condition because the average value of delta tan in all three phases was 1.0, with the differential results being 0.0 and deviation standard 0.0. Action to segment 1 is periodic maintenance of 5 years. Then in segment 2, the data obtained the average value of tan delta phase R 70.6, phase S 143.9, and phase T 83.92. For differential of phase R 161.7, phase S 33.7, and phase T 135.08. Finally, deviation standard at phase R 4.57, phase S 20.14, and phase T 2.43. From IEEE 400.2-2013 standard, it can be concluded that segment 2 is in poor condition and need action as soon as possible of PD Tests and cable replacement

Abstract

Transformer oil insulation failure is one of them that can cause water to penetrate through the mechanical acrylic cap on the OLTC (on load tap changer) which causes contaminants in the transformer insulation oil which affects the reliability of the transformer until there is damage to the transformers widely. For this reason, research was carried out to evaluate the reliability of transformer oil insulation with contaminants of H2O water and Super O2 water. This study is to evaluate the effect of water contaminants with experimental methods using BAUR Oil Tester test equipment, with H2O water and super O2 as samples of water contaminants on transformer oil insulation. According to SPLN 49-1: 1982, the standard value of breakdown voltage in insulating oil is ≥30kV/2.5mm. Then, 1ml of H2O water will be given so that a decrease in the breakdown voltage value of 31.5% is obtained and this experiment is carried out up to 10ml, which means that the more H2O is given, the value of the breakdown voltage is further away from the SPLN standard. Meanwhile, insulating oil contaminated with super O2 water obtained a breakdown voltage of 68% which means that the more super O2 water, the more the reliability of transformer oil insulation decreases, and the breakdown voltage value also decreases which adversely affects the reliability of the transformer.

Abstract

The problem in the tropics is the effect of temperature changes on the high voltage system, resulting in isolation around the electricity distribution in the 20 kV cubicle, which can trigger the insulation failure (breakdown voltages) on a feeder. To reduce the occurrence of power outages due to insulation failure with changing temperatures, direct testing is carried out by providing temperature variations ranging from 30oC to 90oC. To correctly understand the phenomenon, testing should be carried out. The test is carried out every 5 oC temperature increase. Based on the research results, a graph is obtained that explains the decrease in the breakdown value at 50oC, which causes the insulation breakdown voltage to be 27kV, and the decrease in the breakdown voltage at 90oC, which causes the insulation breakdown voltage to decrease to 22kV. Based on experiments, it can be concluded that the greater the temperature rise, The breakdown voltage appears more quickly. Thereafter, the data from the research results were tested using the linear regression analysis method, so that a MAPE obtained 3.89% and an RMSE obtained 1.33 were obtained with an average percentage obtained 0.37%.
