Abstract

On December 2019, new type of coronavirus was discovered in Wuhan, China, causing an infectious and dangerous disease that later known as COVID-19. COVID-19 was then declared as pandemic and spread with alarming speed throughout the globe. With rapid and correct measures, the spreading of COVID-19 in a country could be contained and thus eliminating the chance of it to become a heavy burden. However, with limited resources and poor systems, the LMICs was struck with worse situation. This article systematically reviewed the early strategies and responses of LMICs in facing the early stage of pandemic. Systematic review was carried out by identifying literatures on online databases, named ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Wiley Online Library using keywords “COVID-19, strategy, response, and LMIC”. The inclusion criteria were English full-text articles, published from January 2020 to March 2021 with LMICs background. Six articles were obtained using PRISMA flow diagram. Some LMICs were known to be succeeded in combating pandemic on its early stages. The limitations known in LMICs were absence of governmental preparedness, limited resources for preventive and containment measures, and incoherent coordination and communication. Fixing these areas of concern could help LMICs in dealing with similar situation in the future. Prioritizing effective rapid response in early stage to face an issue like the pandemic will help LMICs to ease the health and economic burdens and keep the situation under control.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and spreads through the air when sufferers cough, sneeze or spit. TB is still a global health problem with 10 million cases in 2019 and 1.4 million deaths. Indonesia has a high TB incidence rate, with 316 per 100,000 population in 2018. Environmental factors such as ventilation, floor type and residential density greatly influence TB transmission. This research was conducted Community Health Center to measure the knowledge and sanitary conditions of TB patients' homes.  The methods used include interviews, counseling and direct observation of house conditions. The results show an increase in knowledge about TB after the education, with 75% of houses not meeting ventilation requirements, 8.9% of houses not meeting floor type requirements, 7.1% of houses not meeting wall type requirements, and 39.3% of houses having low occupancy density. not eligible. Good knowledge of a healthy environment and behavior that supports TB prevention is very important to reduce the transmission of this disease.

Abstract

The utilization of information technology in healthcare services is increasingly crucial, particularly in managing patient data and information through the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS). Students of the Medical Records and Health Information Program need to be equipped with technical skills in using SIMRS as well as the ability to transform data into educational content for the community. Purpose: This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ competencies in SIMRS operations and encourage the use of data to support evidence-based health promotion. Methods: The program targeted 25 fourth-semester students who participated in participatory training and hands-on practice over two days. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests, direct observation during practice sessions, and assessment of the educational products created. Results: all   participants were able to operate SIMRS independently and develop educational media based on medical record data. Implications: This activity also improved students' analytical thinking and visual communication skills. Conclusion: The program demonstrates that hands-on SIMRS training effectively prepares students to become professionals who are adaptive to digital transformation in healthcare and capable of contributing to community-based health education.

Abstract

The deep learning approach in education emphasizes deep conceptual understanding, active student engagement, and the integration of contextual knowledge. This study aims to analyze the urgency and potential synergy between deep learning and the Kurikulum Merdeka in strengthening the quality of primary education in Indonesia. A qualitative method with a literature review was employed to gain an in-depth understanding from relevant sources. The study population consisted of literature on the Kurikulum Merdeka, deep learning, and Indonesian primary education, with a purposive sample drawn from credible sources published between 2021 and 2025. Documentation instruments and qualitative content analysis were used to identify themes and conceptual relationships. The results indicate that integrating deep learning into the Kurikulum Merdeka fosters meaningful, active, and contextual learning that strengthens character development and 21st-century competencies. However, challenges remain, particularly regarding teacher readiness and infrastructure. In conclusion, this approach is crucial for reinforcing the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, requiring continuous teacher training and policy support to ensure equitable resource distribution.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the difficulties of high school students in learning mathematics, especially in functional materials. The data obtained in this study were 7 out of 22 articles and theses after going through a series of PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) stages with the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The articles and theses obtained came from Google Schoolar with the help of the Publish or Perish application. Based on the studies that have been analyzed, the results are obtained that students' mathematical difficulties, especially in function, are divided into three major parts, namely difficulties in the learning process, difficulties in working on problems, and internal and external difficulties. On the other hand, there is also an anticipation to reduce the occurrence of mathematical difficulties in students, including creating a supportive learning environment from the way of teaching and educating teachers, student readiness in learning, and comfortable school environments.
