Abstract

Abstract: Principal leadership is an important component that determines the direction and achievement of school performance. The purpose of this study was to identify the behavior and formulate a theoretical model of the Structural Equation Model (SEM) dimension of the principal leadership on school performance. This study used a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. Participants in this study were 8 principals and 16 teachers from 8 private junior high schools in the Bogor City and Regency. Data collection employed in-depth interview techniques, observation of work behavior, and document review. Data validity was based on credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability criteria during the data collection. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of organizing data, sorting them into manageable units, searching and finding patterns, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions. This research finds the following: 1) the leadership behavior of private secondary school principals to achieve optimal school performance tends to be situational and conditional; 2) interrelation in the form of direct or indirect causal relationships between the principal leadership behavior and the school performance can be formulated in the form of the theoretical SEM consisting of a four-level dimension of the principal leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  menemukan   upaya-upaya   meningkatkan   kreativitas   guru  dan gambaran empiris studi tentang hubungan antara supervisi kepala sekolah dan iklim organisasi sekolah dengan kreativitas guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Metode  survei  dengan  pendekatan  korelasional  dilakukan  terhadap  sampel  dari  suatu  populasi, kemudian menganalisa sampel, dan hasil analisa sampel diberlakukan untuk populasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Guru PNS di SDN Se-Gugus 3 wilayah kecamatan Pancoran Mas Kota Depok Provinsi Jawa Barat yang berjumlah 138 orang dari 8 sekolah. Sampel diambil  dengan teknik proporsional random sampling, dan dengan rumus Slovin didapat jumlah sampel 103 orang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan sebagai berikut: 1) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara Supervisi Kepala Sekolah dengan Kreativitas (ry1 = 0,630, α=0,01); 2) Terdapat hubungan positif, dan kuat, dan signifikan antara Iklim Organisasi dengan Kreativitas (ry2 = 0,730, α=0,01); 3) Terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat kuat, dan signifikan antara Supervisi Kepala Sekolah, dan Iklim Organisasi secara bersama-sama dengan Kreativitas (ry12 = 0,920, α=0,01). Kata Kunci : Supervisi Kepala Sekolah, Iklim Organisasi, Kreativitas

Abstract

Penelitian untuk mengembangkan model in-house training berbasis internet perlu dilakukan guna membantu guru taman kanak-kanak dalam mencari pengetahuan tentang konsep belajar-mengajar secara efektif dan efisien. Tindakan penelitian ini berlatar alasan bahwa guru taman kanak-kanak menemui kendala dalam mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang konsep belajar-mengajar dikarenakan beberapa faktor, sepert: kurang dana untuk mengikuti training, sekolah mereka tidak mengadakan training untuk para guru. Sementara itu, telepon genggam yang berdata internet yang mereka punya hanya digunakan sebatas untuk berkomunikasi saja. Melihat kondisi ini, maka dilakukan upaya untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dan bagaimana memanfaatkan telepon genggam berdata internet tersebut, yaitu dengan cara melakukan sebuah penelitan dalam mengembangkan model in-house training berbasis internet yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mencari pengetahuan tentang konsep belajar-mengajar secara efektifif dan efisien di internet. Pelaksanaan Uji Coba I Terbatas dilakukan di minggu ke empat bulan November 2015 hingga minggu ke tiga bulan Desember 2015 dalam 3 kali tindakan dan satu kali post test, yang diikuti oleh guru-guru dari PAUD Anggrek Putih Sukaresmi Tanah Sareal Kabupaten Bogor, dan mengacu pada Modul In-House Training Berbasis Internet. Kegiatan pada Uji Coba Terbatas II di PAUD Tanjung 3, dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi, hingga evaluasi. Kegiatan pada Uji Coba Luas I di Smartskul Preschool Kindergarten, dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi, hingga evaluasi. Kegiatan pada Uji Coba Luas II di RA Bustanul Athfal, dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi, hingga evaluasi. Kegiatan pada Uji Coba Luas III di TK Harapan Ibu, dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi, hingga evaluasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan model In-House Training Berbasis Internet ini adalah Research and Development (penelitian dan pengembangan), karena metode ini secara sistematik dapat membantu cara dalam pengembangan model baru, serta dapat menguatkan model ini sebagai model training baru yang baik. Hal ini dimungkinkan penelitian ini didasari oleh kajian pustaka dan lapangan, kemudian dilakukan uji coba terbatas dan luas, serta diuji kembali melalui proses validasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: survei yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi pendukung dan praktek yang terkait dengan model program in-house training yang akan dikembangkan, penelitian evaluatif yang digunakan dengan uji coba pengembangan model program in-house training, eksperimen yang dilakukan guna menguji keefektifan dari model program in-house training yang dikembangkan. Sebagai input dari pengembangan model In-House Training Berbasis internet adalah; Model in-house training berbasis internet, kepala sekolah dan guru. Sebagai tahapan proses adalah; Perencanaan, Proses, Evaluasi Refleksi. Sebagai output adalah bahwa dinyatakan model pengembangan In-House Training Berbasis Internet sebagi model in-house training yang terekomendasi.

Abstract

INTERNET BASED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MODEL TO IMPROVE SCHOOL LEARNING TEAMThe tendency of the fact where the teachers do not need to learn or do not want to improve professional competence is a reflection of the opposite of team learning. Schools need to improve their performance to achieve maximum results. This study aimed to analyze an Internet-Based Professional Development model that can improve the ability of kindergarten teachers to carry out professional development independently and build team learning as well. Internet-Based Professional Development is an alternative effort in overcoming the improvement of kindergarten teachers' ability to organize Professional Development as well as team-learning. Limited trial research was conducted at Smartskul Preschool Kindergarten with 5 teachers. Extensive trials were carried out at TKI Al-Hamidiyah Depok with 25 teachers, and at TKIT Aliya Bogor with 13 teachers. The method of research used was research and model development (Research Professional Development / R D). Each trial carried out three times actions in limited trials and two actions in extensive trials at each school. In this study, the data analysis used was qualitative, quantitative, and formative. To measure the validity, this research used non-test and expert judgment. The Internet-Based Professional Development model consisted of input, process, and output. The input consisted of the Internet-Based Professional Development module, and kindergarten teachers and principals. The process consisted of planning, implementing monitoring, as well as evaluation reflection. The output of the Internet-Based Professional Development model was able to improve the ability of kindergarten teachers in organizing Internet-Based Professional Development as well as being able to build team learning.

Abstract

ORGANIZATION CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR TEACHERS CAN BE ENHANCED WITH SPIRITUAL ORGANIZATION AND INTELLIGENCE COMMITMENTSThe research aimed to find the relationship between organizational commitment and spiritual intelligence with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB). The method used in this research was a correlational descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The population in this research took 136 the non-permanent teachers who work seperatelly at 14 private junior high schools located in the district of Jonggol Bogor Regency. The sampling technique was using proportional random sampling in Slovin formula with 5% margin error with a sample amount of 102 teachers. This study resulted in a conclusion; 1) there was a positive relationship between the organizational commitment with OCB. The strength of the relationship between organizational commitment (X1) and OCB (Y) was demonstrated by the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0848 and the organizational commitment contributed 71.9% to the OCB, 2) There was a positive relationship between spiritual intelligence with OCB. The strength of the relationship between Spiritual Intelligence (X2) and OCB (Y) was demonstrated by the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0,786 and Spiritual Intelligence contributed 61.8% to the OCB, 3) There was a positive relationship between the organizational commitment (X1) and spiritual intelligence (X2) jointly with the OCB (Y) shown with the correlation coefficient ry12 = 0.848 and the organizational and intelligence commitments Spiritual collectively contributed 71.9% to the OCB. Based on the findings, the OCB of teachers can be improved through organizational commitment and spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

IMPROVING  TEACHER  ORGANIZATIONAL  CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR  BY  STRENGTENING OF LEARNING  ORGANIZATION AND PRINCIPAL TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIPThis study is intended   to empirically determining the relationship between  Strengthening of Learning Organization and Principal Transformational Leadership towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The population in this study were permanent teachers of the Private Junior High Schools foundations accredited A, in Central Bogor Distric, Bogor City. There were 102 teachers who were taken by porpotional random sampling. The method using was  correlational method. The hypothesis testing was carried out using parametic statistical analysis in the form of simple and multiple   linear,   regression analysis, simple and multiple correlation analysis where the significant levels of α = 0,05  and  0,01.  This  research  resulted  in  four  conclutions and  followed  by  the SITOREM analysis stage. Firstly, there was very significant possitive corellation between the Strengthening of the Learning Organization and   the OCB. It was indicated by the corellation coefficient ry1=0,522, supported by the regression equation Ŷ = 60,9380+ 0,4019X1 and the determination coefficient r2y=0,2724. Secondly,  there  was  very  significant  possitive  corellation  between  principal transformational  leadership  and  the OCB. It was indicated by the corellation coefficient  ry1=0,493,  supported  by  the  regression  equation  Ŷ  =  63,8397  + 0.4146X2,  and the determination coefficient r2y=0,2430. Thirdly, there was very significant   possitive   corellation   between   both   strengthening   of   Learning Organization and principal transformational   leadership   towards   the OCB. It was indicated by the corellation coefficient ry.12=0,541, supported by the regression equation Ŷ = 54,4963 + 0.2698X1 + 0.1870X2, and the determination coefficient r2y=0,2927. Fourthly, OCB could be improved by strengthening the Learning Organization and principal transformational    leadership, both separately or altogether. It  can be concluded that OCB can be improved by strengthening   Learning   Organization   and   principal   transformational leadership. The results of the SITOREM analysis ftgured out that the components of strengthening  of  learning  organization,  principal  transformational  leadership, and OCB were gaining 13 good indicators that they could be maintained, which were: (1) Mental Models, (2) Inspirational Motivation, (3) Intellectual Stimulation, (4) Concientousness, (5).Personal Mastery, (6) Sportmanship, (7) Systemic Thinking, (8)  Contingen  Reward, (9)  Idealized  Influence,  (10)  Courtesy,  (11) Teams  Learning,  (12) Shared  Vision,  (13)  Individualized Consideration. Meanwhile, there were 2 indicators those were still needed to be improved, namely: (1) Altruisme and (2) Civic Virtue,

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT AS A LEADER'S EFFORT IN IMPROVING TEACHER PERFORMANCE AT DAARUL ULUM MODERN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, BOGOR REGENCYTotal Quality Management was a quality management system that focuses on customers and involves all employees in progression or continually improvements. Pre-study observations proved that the leader at Pondok Modern Daarul Ulum Kab. Bogor tended to apply a democratic leadership style in the development of Islamic boarding schools. In addition, there was a decrease in the number of graduates who continued studying abroad. This study aimed was to get relationship between the variables of democratic leadership style and Total Quality Management on teacher performance. The method used in this study was a survey with a correlational approach. The populations of this study were all teachers of Pondok Modern Daarul Ulum Kab. Bogor. The sampling method used a saturated sampling technique so that the entire population was used as a sample, as many as 244 teachers. During performing the analysis, the researcher used multiple linear regression analysis as well as hypothesis test that consisted of t test, F test and coefficient of determination test. By seeing the result, it could be seen that the democratic leadership style variable had a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance; meanwhile the Total Quality Management variable had no relationship to teacher performance.

Abstract

EVALUATION OF PROFESSIONALISM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS THROUGH THE SUBJECT TEACHER MANAGEMENT (MGMP) IN BOGOR CITY (Stake Countenance Model Program Evaluation)This study aimed to determine the process of professionalism improvement program on geography teachers through The Subject Teacher Management (MGMP) in Bogor City by using the evaluation of the stake countanance model program. This program evaluation research focused on three components, namely the Antecedent, Transaction, and Outcomes components. The research method was a qualitative program evaluation. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research obtained on the evaluation of  the antecedent components, from the eight aspects studied namely: needs analysis (needs assessment), formulation of program goals, objectives and policies, legality of program implementation, human resources (HR), facilities and infrastructure, budget /finance, it was indicated that the aspect of facilities and infrastructure must be improved. The availability of facilities and infrastructure for the needs of the teacher professionalism improvement program has not been able to fully support the implementation of the program, while the other seven aspects can be continued in accordance. In the transaction component, there were five aspects studied, such as activity procedures, program scheduling, program implementation, supports from school principal on program implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. In the transaction component, there were three aspects must be improved; activity procedures, program scheduling, and program implementation, while the other two aspects can be continued. The outcomes component examined one aspect as the results of program implementation. The aspect of the program implementation result has been in accordance with the standard, namely the professionalism increase of geography teachers.
