Abstract

Every family has health duties that aim to prevent health problems and care for sick family members. Family health duties include five main aspects: preventing illness, maintaining health, managing existing illnesses, participating in health programs, and coping with emergency situations. The implementation of these health duties is often influenced by the family culture, including the values and customs of a particular ethnic group. This study focuses on the implementation of family health duties in the Minangkabau community, which is known for its matrilineal kinship system. The population of this study consisted of Minangkabau families in Nogo Rejo Village, Galang Sub-district. The main objective of this study was to identify how Minangkabau families carry out their health duties. The results showed that knowledge about the implementation of family health duties in the Minangkabau community is still limited. This indicates that further research is needed to uncover the cultural factors that influence the implementation of family health duties among the Minangkabau. By digging deeper into family health practices in this cultural context, it is hoped that more appropriate approaches can be found in supporting Minangkabau families in maintaining health and caring for sick family members. This research provides an important basis for further exploration of how Minangkabau cultural values and practices may influence family health. Through a deeper understanding of the relationship between culture and family health, more effective intervention efforts can be designed to improve the quality of life of Minangkabau people.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is all health behaviors that are carried out on awareness. There are many PHBS, hundreds of them. For example about nutrition: eating a variety of foods, taking blood supplement tablets, consuming iodized salt, giving babies and toddlers vitamin capsules. Primary school-age children are also very vulnerable to health problems due to an unhealthy diet. Food sold at school or in the school environment does not all meet health and safety standards, and school children tend to prefer unhealthy foods either because of inadequate knowledge or because they are easily influenced by advertisements The subjects in the service activities are elementary school children at Bharlind Elementary School. The delivery of counseling material using the lecture method, the implementation of the service which is assisted by the teacher and followed by a question and answer session This community service activity aims to improve the level of health at Bharlind Private Elementary School in 2023 "was carried out on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 09.00 WIB until completion. When the activity began, elementary school students in grade 4SD were gathered in the classroom, then socialized counseling material about healthy and clean behavior (PHBS) in children, and conducted questions and answers to children. In the delivery of the material, it turned out that many children did not understand about healthy and clean living behavior (PHBS). The application of PHBS can not only be applied in the home environment, but PHBS can also be applied in the school environment, namely by efforts to provide learning experiences or create a condition for individuals, provide information and conduct education to improve knowledge, attitudes and behavior through approaches to children.

Immunization is the provision of immunity against a disease and will only provide immunity or resistance to that disease, so if you need to avoid various diseases, other immunizations are needed. Immunization is very effective in preventing infectious diseases, through immunization our bodies will not be susceptible to infectious diseases (Faisal, 2021). There are two types of immunization, namely active immunization and passive immunization. National immunization programs include BCG, Hepatitis B, DTP, Polio, Hib and measles. The subjects in the service activities are mothers who have babies aged 0-12 months in Mangga Village, Ladang Bambu District, as many as 12 people. In the initial stage, an approach was made to the residents to deliver counseling material using the lecture method, immunization implementation assisted by the village midwife and followed by a question and answer session. Abstract

The Ministry of Health (2019) revealed that on average, 401 newborns in Indonesia die before they are one year old. The data comes from the government's latest survey, the 2020 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (SDKI). Based on BPS data (2020), the under-five mortality rate per 1000 live births according to the age of the mother at delivery in 2017 was mostly at the age of 40-49 years (58%) and at the age of <20 years (40%). The prevalence of constipation in Indonesia is very small, in Bali in children aged 4-6 years the prevalence of constipation is 15.1%, while in children in Padang Barat Subdistrict, Padang City the constipation rate is 19.9 & with a ratio between males and females is 1.2: 1Constipation is a condition where feces harden so that it is difficult to pass through the anus, and causes a disturbed or uncomfortable feeling in the rectum. Contipation occurs at all ages, and is generally characterized by a low frequency of bowel movements (less than 3 times a week). Breastfed infants may have a bowel movement after every feeding or only once in 7-10 days (Eka, 2014). Constipation may occur due to early complementary feeding. The optimal age for starting solids is 6 months old. The recommendation for complementary feeding can be started when the baby is 4-6 months old. Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months provides many benefits for the baby and also the mother.
