Abstract

The purpose of this research is effect of financial inclusion and financial literacy on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Ambon City. The type of research used is a quantitative research method. The population in this study is the perpetrators of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Ambon City who are registered with the cooperatives service with a total of 19,783 micro, small, and medium enterprises actors. So the research sample is 100 respondents. The method of analysis in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that financial inclusion has a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial performance.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas wirausaha muda melalui sinergitas antara aspek pemasaran, keuangan, dan sumber daya manusia (SDM). Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dan aplikatif melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta dalam penerapan strategi pemasaran digital, pencatatan keuangan sederhana, dan pengelolaan SDM berbasis tim. Peserta mampu menerapkan hasil pelatihan ke dalam praktik usaha, yang berdampak pada peningkatan efisiensi dan kinerja bisnis. Selain itu, terbentuknya komunitas wirausaha muda binaan menjadi langkah strategis untuk memperkuat jejaring dan keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of local brands in strengthening the competitive advantage of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with financial technology (fintech) employed as a moderating variable. The research is motivated by the growing consumer preference for authentic local products rooted in cultural values, along with the increasing adoption of fintech as an enabler for transaction efficiency and financial management. The investigation was conducted on Djikoe Ngopi, an MSME located in Ambon city, using a quantitative survey approach. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling, considering their experience in utilizing fintech services. Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) using Adanco software. The findings reveal that local brands significantly enhance competitive advantage by creating differentiation and building consumer loyalty. Fintech also exerts a direct and significant influence on competitive advantage through its role in providing efficient and secure financial services. Moreover, fintech strengthens the impact of local branding by aligning cultural authenticity with digital convenience, thereby generating sustainable competitive advantage. The study contributes theoretically by extending the Resource Based View (RBV) into the digital context, while practically offering insights for MSMEs to combine cultural differentiation with fintech adoption to remain competitive in the digital economy era..

Abstract

Article writing training for Scopus indexed journals organized by the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pattimura aims to improve lecturers' skills in writing quality scientific articles. This activity involves lecturers from three departments at the Faculty of Economics and Business, namely Management, Accounting, and Development Economics. Resource persons who are experienced in international publications provide an understanding of effective writing techniques, selecting the right journal, and strategies for dealing with a strict journal review process. Participants are taught how to write systematic articles, use clear language, and the importance of framing and collaboration in scientific writing. In addition, interactive discussions are very helpful in providing additional insights related to the challenges faced in writing for Scopus indexed journals. It is hoped that this training can improve the quality of lecturers' publications, increase opportunities to be accepted in Scopus indexed journals, and contribute to the development of science at the global level.
