Abstract

Stunting is a sign that children are not developing well physically or psychologically, especially in the first 1000 days of life. Desa Sukaraja is an experimental village formed by Puskesmas and local government as an effort to reduce the stunting incidence, with a stunting focus location program (Lokus) in early 2020. This program is also supported by the results of abundant natural resources, especially in producing processed soybeans, namely tofu. The aim of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women and mothers of toddlers about processing tofu basic ingredients into tofu nugget as an effort to anticipate stunting. The method used is by providing health education about stunting and demonstrating the making process of tofu nuggets. The target of this activity is all 28 pregnant women and mothers of children under five who come to Posyandu Brunggendis 1. The result of this program reveals an increase in knowledge about stunting and processing tofu into tofu nuggets. Pregnant women and mothers of toddlers know and understand the incidence of stunting, and know how to make tofu nuggets.

Abstract

Introduction: In general the treatment of menstrual pain is divided into two categories, pharmacology and non-pharmacology. Non pharmacological pain management is safer to use because it does not cause side effects like drugs because non pharmacological therapy uses physiological processes. One of the non pharmacological pain management is a combination of effleurage massage technique and slow deep breathing. Massage effleurage is a movement using the entire surface of the hand that is rubbed lightly and soothingly. This technique aims to improve blood circulation, reduce pain, and stretch muscles as well as promote physical and mental relaxation. Dysmenorrhea that never goes away makes medical personnel, one of which is physiotherapy, very capable of playing an important role in handling it. The role of physiotherapy in cases of menstrual pain itself or dysmenorrhea is to help provide exercise therapy in the form of deep breathing exercises which are deep breathing techniques with the aim of increasing the amount of oxygen in the body and providing a relaxing effect on the body and education in the form of healthy lifestyle and healthy activities to reduce the consumption of analgesic drugs that have long-term dependency effects. Objective: This study was to describe the combination of effleurage massage technique and slow deep breathing of female students in reducing menstrual pain. to know the description of the combination of effleurage massage technique and slow deep breathing of female students in reducing menstrual pain.  Method: This study uses a descriptive research design. The sample in this study was determined using a quota sampling technique, namely as many as 32 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria. Conclusion: most of the respondents were able to do a combination of effleurage massage and slow deep breathing techniques.

Abstract

Introduction: The success of the maternal health program can be assessed through the main indicator, maternal mortality rate (MMR). One of the efforts that can be made to reduce MMR is the suggestion that health workers are expected to be able to prevent obstetric complications such as hypertension in pregnancy and the puerperium. Every pregnancy, in its development, has a risk of experiencing complications. Antenatal care must be carried out routinely, according to standards, and integrated for quality antenatal care. Antenatal care is very necessary for every pregnant woman because her condition greatly affects the continuity of pregnancy and the growth of the fetus in her womb. Laboratory tests are very important for the early detection of complications in pregnancy and childbirth so that they can be prevented and appropriate management carried out. Laboratory examination as a form of screening for the health conditions of pregnant women is a promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative effort to prevent maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality provided by health workers. Objective: The purpose of this community service is to increase the mother's knowledge by providing health education on the importance of laboratory tests and performing hemoglobin, urine glucose, and urine protein examination services so that pregnant women can find out the condition of their pregnancy. Method: The implementation method is by providing health education and services for checking hemoglobin, urine glucose, and urine protein. Result: There were 13 pregnant women who did hemoglobin and urine tests, there were 11 pregnant women (84.6%) with non-anemia results and 2 pregnant women (15.4%) with anemia results. Then from the results of urine glucose and urine protein examinations, it was found that 13 pregnant women were all negative (100%). Conclusion: The target is very enthusiastic about participating in the activity. Pregnant women also feel very happy to be able to do their own pregnancy checks in an effort to detect early pregnancy complications that may occur. Laboratory tests found two pregnant women who had anemia during pregnancy, and all pregnant women had urine glucose and urine protein tests that were all negative.

Abstract

Objective: The objective of this research is to assess the impact of utilizing e-leaflets and lecture methods on the knowledge of mothers with toddlers in stunting prevention. Method: A quasi-experimental approach with a pre-test/post-test two-group research design was employed. The participants in this study consisted of 40 mothers of toddlers, and data collection was done using a questionnaire. Result: The significance value (2-tailed) was found to be 0.0043, which is less than 0.05. This leads to the conclusion that there is a significant disparity in knowledge before and after providing the e-leaflet and lecture. Conclusion: The research highlights a significant disparity in knowledge acquisition following the distribution of e-leaflets and lectures among mothers of toddlers.
