Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process and learning outcomes through singing methods that can improve children's counting skills. The subjects of this action research were 13 children. This research method is an action research that refers to the Kemmis Mc Taggart action research model which consists of the stages of planning, action, and observation, and reflection. This research consisted of 2 cycles, where each cycle consisted of 8 meetings. Data analysis techniques used in this study are quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive statistics that compares the results obtained from the pre cycle, the first cycle, to the second cycle. Qualitative data analysis by analyzing data from the results of field notes, interview notes, and documentation notes with the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate an increase in the ability to counting through singing in which the average value in the pre cycle of 2.76 increased in the first cycle to be 3.38, and in the second cycle to be 5.07.

Abstract

This study aims to create and develop science learning media that can be used to stimulate aspects of cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years to help educators to convey material so that children also more easily understand the material presented by educators. The research was carried out on children aged 5-6 years in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Learning media is made in the form of Children's Worksheets (LKA), in which there are various science experiment activities for children aged 5-6 years. The type of research used is research and development (R and D), the research model used is the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) which was adapted from Branch. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires to determine the development of early childhood science learning media. Data analysis used effectiveness data analysis to determine the effectiveness of using science learning worksheets as stimulation of cognitive development aspects. The results of the effectiveness of using the development of science learning worksheets in 12 children obtained an average score of 87%. The score results are included in the "very good" category. Based on the results of the effectiveness of using the LKA for science learning, the provision of LKA for science learning is effective in stimulating the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years.PPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran sains yang dapat digunakan untuk menstimulasi aspek perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun sehingga membantu pendidik untuk menyampaikan materi agar anak juga lebih mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh pendidik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Media pembelajaran dibuat dalam bentuk Lembar Kerja Anak (LKA), dimana didalamnya terdapat berbagai kegiatan eksperimen sains untuk anak usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R and D), model penelitian yang digunakan yaitu model penelitian ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) yang diadaptasi dari Branch. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu pengamatan (observasi) dan pemberian angket (kuesioner) untuk mengetahui pengembangan media pembelajaran sains anak usia dini. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data keefektifan  untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan LKA pembelajaran sains sebagai stimulasi aspek perkembangankognitif. Hasil efektivitas penggunaan pengembangan LKA pembelajaran sains pada 12 anak memperoleh rata-rata skor 87%. Hasil skor tersebut termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan hasil efektivitas penggunaan LKA pembelajaran sains tersebut, maka pemberian LKA pembelajaran sains efektif untuk menstimulasi perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun.

Abstract

The aim of this community service (Abdimas) activity is to introduce numbers through the Smart Board for Kids learning media. The partners in this community service activity are TK Indriyasana VII which is part of the Dharma Ibu Surabaya Foundation which is located on Jl. Dukuh Kupang XXX/51 Surabaya. The Abdimas subjects this time are 10 students currently sitting in Kindergarten A. The implementation of this community service activity was carried out for 2 months and consisted of 2 stages, namely the media introduction stage and the media use stage. In stage 1, the author introduces the Smart Board for Kids learning media to children, then in stage 2 the children are asked to play games using the Smart Board for Kids and show excellent number recognition. In conclusion, the Smart Board for kids learning media can improve number recognition in early childhood

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui pengaruh APE tangram terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 5-6 tahun di RT 7 RW 3, Kelurahan Kertajaya, Kota Surabaya. Adapun jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian ekperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Sebanyak 14 anak yang berusia 5-6 tahun di RT 7 RW 3, Kelurahan Kertajaya, Kota Surabaya menjadi subjek penelitian yang dipilih dengan teknik sampling purposive. Penentuan teknik sampling purposive yaitu minimal anak mempunyai 4 kriteria perkembangan motorik halus diantaranya anak kesulitan memegang alat tulis, menggunting sesuai pola, menempel, meniru bentuk pola, menggambar sesuai proporsi, serta menyusun benda ke bentuk lain. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data penghitungan kemajuan perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 5-6 tahun menggunakan rumus N-Gain yaitu sebanyak 11 anak berada dalam klasifikasi gain tinggi sedangkan 3 anak berada dalam klasifikasi gain sedang. Adapun berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji T dengan nilai signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa nilai Thitung (3,678) > Ttabel (1,771), berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa APE tangram memiliki pengaruh terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 5-6 tahun di RT 7 RW 3, Kelurahan Kertajaya, Kota Surabaya

Abstract

Berdasarkan penelitian di TK Liya III Surabaya anak kelompok B belum mampu melakukan koordinasi motorik halus mencakup kemampuan dan kelenturan menggunakan jari dan alat untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengekspresikan diri dalam berbagai bentuk. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk pengaruh motorik halus pada anak yaitu dengan memberikan kegiatan seperti membatik yang berupa teknik celup ikat atau teknik jumputan, teknik cap atau teknik cetak, dan teknik colet atau disebut teknik lukis. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dalam metode observasi dan metode dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini peserta didik usia 5-6 tahun di TK Liya III Surabaya yang berjumlah 17 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen, bentuk desain penelitian eksperimen Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan jenis One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif termasuk dalam distribusi persen. Perolehan analisis data hasil perhitungan Thitung = 153 dan Ttabel = 35, jadi Thitung lebih besar dari Ttabel atau 153 > 35, Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak dengan taraf nyata ? = 0,05 maka penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh kegiatan membatik terhadap motorik halus anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Liya III Surabaya

Abstract

Cognitive development in autistic children aged 5-6 years does require the provision of appropriate stimuli, according to the stages of age and level of symptoms experienced by the child. One method that can be applied to children with autism to develop cognitive aspects of children is the method of role playing. Role playing activities can improve children's cognitive development. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the role playing method as a stimulation of the cognitive development of autistic children aged 5-6 years. The research approach used is qualitative with the method of literature review or literature study relating to relevant theories, as well as supporting articles in the formulation of research problems. The results of the application of role playing performed on children with autism can stimulate aspects of cognitive development at the age of 5-6 years. In conclusion, the role playing method can affect children's cognitive development by providing a gradual stimulus and according to the child's needs.

Abstract

This activity is designed to improve teachers' understanding of CT concepts and principles, as well as practical skills in designing interactive and engaging CT-based learning media. The training lasted for five days, divided into two stages, where participants were taught about CT components, such as decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms, and how to integrate them into learning according to the child's developmental stage. Through this community service, teachers had the opportunity to share experiences and ideas and provide constructive feedback to each other. This community service shows that the training has succeeded in improving the knowledge and skills of Avicenna Kindergarten teachers in creating Computational Thinking (CT)-based learning media. In addition, the media produced is expected to help children develop problem-solving skills, critical, creative, and analytical thinking from an early age. Thus, this activity is a significant initial step to improve the quality of education at Avicenna Kindergarten Surabaya and prepare children to face challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Background: Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) berperan penting dalam membentuk perkembangan kognitif, afektif, sosial, dan motorik anak. Guru Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) menjadi fasilitator utama pembelajaran yang efektif, menyenangkan, dan sesuai tahap perkembangan anak. Namun, di wilayah Parung, Jawa Barat, sebagian guru TK masih mengalami keterbatasan dalam mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran inovatif berbasis bermain. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru TK melalui pelatihan inovatif yang mengintegrasikan prinsip pembelajaran berbasis bermain, pendekatan partisipatif, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal. Metode: Kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan melibatkan 20 guru TK dari berbagai lembaga pendidikan di Parung. Tahapan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan modul, pelaksanaan workshop interaktif, praktik lapangan, serta sesi refleksi dan evaluasi. Data diperoleh melalui pre-test dan post-test kompetensi pedagogik, observasi aktivitas guru, dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil: Pelatihan menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi guru pada aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, pemilihan media dan metode bermain, serta keterampilan mengelola interaksi belajar. Guru menunjukkan penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada anak. Kesimpulan: Program pelatihan inovatif berbasis bermain ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru TK di Parung. Keberlanjutan dampak positif dapat diperkuat melalui pembentukan komunitas belajar guru dan dukungan kebijakan dari pemerintah daerah.
