Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa warna lampu neon terhadap pertumbuhantanaman kailan dengan menggunakan sistem hidroponik indoor.  Penelitian ini menggunakan lima level perlakuandengan faktor tunggal yaitu satu perlakuan dilakukan di dalam greenhouse dengan penyinaran cahaya mataharialami, dan 4 perlakuan dilakukan di dalam ruang penanaman di bawah cahaya buatan dari lampu neon.  Warnalampu neon yang digunakan untuk 4 perlakuan yaitu merah, biru, kuning, dan putih.  Di dalam ruang penanamanlampu harus selalu menyala untuk menyinari tanaman tanpa masa gelap.  Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 3 tanaman,total 15 tanaman.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan vegetatif dan hasil panen tanaman kailan untukperlakuan lampu neon berwarna putih lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil perlakuan lampu neon berwarnakuning, lampu neon berwarna biru dan lampu neon berwarna merah yang berada di dalam ruangan, tetapi masihbelum cukup optimal jika dibandingkan dengan perlakuan di greenhouse (penyinaran cahaya matahari).Kata Kunci: Warna lampu neon, sistem hidroponik dalam ruangan, kailan.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the effects of aeration on baby kailan (Brassica oleraceae var. Achepala ) infloating systemhidroponic technology inside and outside the greenhouse. This research used a factorial in a splitplot design with 2 factors, namely factor I (weation) and Factor II (aeration). The first factor had two levels,inside (N0) and outside (N1) greenhouse. The second factor consisted of 3 levels; mechanical aeration (A1),hanging styrofoam (A2) and floating styrofoam (A3); resulting in six treatment combinations with threereplications. The data was analyzed using ANOVA (analysis of variance) at 5%significant level and folowed byLSD. The results showed that the inside and otsutside greenhouse significantly affected growth and yield. The useof aeration outside the greenhouse had shownmaximal production. The hanging styrofoamsystem (A2) insidethe greenhouse showed the lowest production cost (fertilizer and electricity. None of the environment andnutrition parameters (EC, DO and pH) was significantly different during the research, implying that theenvironment and nutrion solutionwere homogeneous and did not affect the plant growth.

Abstract

This researchwas aimed to investigate reactionkinetic of tofu industrywastewater using zeolitemedium. A staticfilter reactor using zeolitemediumwas constructed to carry out this research. Tofuwastewaterwas resirculatedthrough themedium with various hydraulic retention times (HRT): 0, 3, 6, 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours. First orderreactionwas then applied on this kinetics. The results showed that pHincreased from4.1 to 8.02. Total P in thewastewater decreased from12,1mg/L to 6,91mg/L (42%reduction),while in themedia totalP increased from3,04 mg/L to 5,97 mg/L within 48 hours of filtration. N-NH4+ decreased from 64.184 mg/L to 12.85 mg/L(79.9%reduction). Total Solids decreased from 10.404mg/L to 4003m(61.5%reduction).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of granule growing media on growth and yield of vegetables in ahidroponic wick system. The design of this study used Randomized Complete Block (RCB) with factorialarrangement and three replications. The first factor consisted of three levels : kale (S1), spinach (S2), andmustard (S3). The second factorwere the size of the granules with four levels : 12mm (M1), 6mm (M2), 4 mm(M3) and husk char (M4) as a control. Each plant was grown in a wicked pot. There were 12 treatmentcombinations, with three replicates. Parameters observed were physical properties of the media,evapotranspiration, number of leaves, growth, biomass, and yield. Data was analyzed using the Analysis ofVariance (ANOVA) 1%and 5%levels of significance, followed by LSDcomparision. Results showed that therewasno significant interaction betweenmedia and types of plant. However; sizes of media significantly affected theevapotranspiration, growth, biomass, and yield.Keywords:Wicked, hydroponics, granules, media, vegetables

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of deficit irrigation at vegetative stage toward soybean plants productivity with compered the growth rate and the result harvest of soybean plants toward in deficient water level differently. The parameter had observed include the growth plants rate observation and after harvest observation. The research method was used Complate Random Design (RAL) with five treatments that had given K1 (0-100% KATT), K2 (0-80% KATT), K3 (0-60% KATT), K4 (0-40% KATT), dan K5 (0-20% KATT) notation as soon as four times repeatedly. The data analysis was used investigation manner and continued with Different Fact Test (BNT) level 5% and 1 %. The result of observation and data analysis showed that the soybean plants started at deficiency at fourth week until sixth week in K3 (0-60% KATT), K4 (0-40% KATT), dan K5 (0-20% KATT) treatment and the efficiency of using the highest water toward K1 (0-100% KATT) treatment in the amount of 0.651 gram/l with average result was 12,71 gram/plants. Keywords: Deficit Irrigation, Efficiency Use of Water, Soybean, Vegetative

Abstract

This research study aims to determine proper composition of biochar, to find out the efficiency of fertilizer used, and to evaluate the effect of interaction between biochar and urea fertilizer used on the cultivation of green mustard.  This study used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors with factorial arrangement.  The first factor was biochar dosage consisting of: control (without biochar), 5 tons/ha, 7.5 tons/ha, and 10 tons/ha.  The second factor was urea dosage consisting of: control (without urea), 75 kg/ha, 125 kg/ha, and 200 kg/ha.  All treatment combinations were replicated 3 times so there were 48 experimental units obtained.  The parameters observed were: soil properties, biochar properties, plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, canopy area, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight, total fresh weight, water consumption, water productivity, and fertilizer productivity.The addition of biochar is proven to increase the productivity of mustard plants. The use of urea fertilizer had no significant effect, presumably because of the low soil organic matter content. The interaction between biochar doses and urea fertilizer doses was not significant and only significant for the fertilizer productivity parameters. Research also revealed that the optimal dose of biochar for mustard greens is 5 tons/ha, giving an average yield of 88.25 g/plant and fertilizer productivity of 210.41%. Keywords: Biochar, Dose, Green Mustard, Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB), Urea Fertilizer.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan mengaplikasikan budidaya sayuran menggunakan teknologi hidroponik kepada anak-anak usia dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di TK IT Insan Taqwa di Desa Sidosari, Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan merancang, membuat dan menginstal perangkat budidaya hidroponik sistem ABC menggunakan pipa PVC 3 inchi sepanjang 16 m yang dilengkapi dengan ember kapasitas 80 L, pompa 125 W, dan timer analog 15 menitan. Setelah instalasi perangkat hidroponik, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan budidaya hidroponik yang disertai praktek penanaman sayuran selada. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa setelah kurang lebih 4minggu, tanaman selada tumbuh dengan baik yang ditunjukkan oleh figur tanaman yang segar dan besar. Pada akhir minggu ke-5, tanaman selada dipanen oleh para. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berjalan dengan sukses yang ditunjukkan dari indikator keberhasilan yang meliputi (1) tersedianya satu unit kit hidroponik,(2) terlaksananya kegiatan sosialisasi dan praktek budidaya hidroponik, (3) terlaksananya budidaya hidroponik yang dikerjakan oleh guru dan siswa TK IT Insan Taqwa dari penanaman hingga panen.

Abstract

Cherry tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum M.) are a type of tomato that many people like because they taste sweet and are rich in vitamins. However, conventionally cherry tomatoes have not been widely cultivated in Indonesia because besides of susceptible to disease, cultivation techniques in open fields are not well understood by many farmers either. This research aims to determine the appropriate size of the nutrient jar and hydroponic system. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) which was arranged factorially with three replications. The first factor is the size of the nutrition jar which consists of 3 levels, namely 500 mL (P1), 1500 mL (P2), and 2500 mL (P3). The second factor was the type of hydroponic system consisting of Wick System (HW), Dry System (HD), and Floating System (HF). The results showed that the nutrient jar size had a positive effect on evapotranspiration, number of leaves, root length, number of flowers, fruit weight, and water content of the fruit.  The hydroponic system significantly affected the number of flowers, root length, fruit weight, and in general the Wick System (HW) had better performance compared to the Dry system (HD) and the Floating system (HF).  The interaction of the two treatment factors was not significant.  The data showed that the 1500mL Wick System (P2HW) was the most optimum treatment, based on the parameters of evapotranspiration/consumption of nutrient (2.6-3 liters), number of leaves 17 leaves), root length (23.4-25.1 cm), and fruit weight (14.1-15.22 grams) as well. Keyword : Cherry tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum M.), hydroponic, nutrient jar size. wick system
