Abstract

Development in an urban area as an impact of high density population is always in line with landuse change. Alteration of landuse from permeable area into impermeable area give an impact on reducing amount of rainfall which infiltrate into soil. This situation directy will cause an inundation problem in an urban area.The research was located in Brantas Sub Watershed which was administered include in the Klojen District, Malang. The study was focussed on estimate spatially an infiltration area map by considering various of landuse type. Analyses of infiltration area spatially was performed by applying hydrological model which integrated with Geographical Information System.The result showed that there was difference response on each landuse type in term of infiltration rate which occurred. Direct field measurement was conducted on each landuse type and exhibited level of infiltration rate from least one to biggest one, namelygreen open area (0,172 mm/min), shrub (0,068 mm/min), commercial area (0,043 mm/min), social and public facility area (0,032 mm/min) and residential area (0,031 mm/ min), respectively. Spatial analyses of infiltration areausing hydrological model KINEROS by considering 5 year design rainfall showed percentage of infiltration area 8,15% (for landuse year 2000), 7,82% (for landuse year 2005), and 6,6% (for landuse year 2010(, respectively.It can be known that the percentage of infiltration area was decrease from year 2000 to 2010. These results were hoped to be an important information for city planning especially in term of land and water conservation in urban area.Keywords: KINEROS model, Infiltration, Infiltration Area

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemeruman waduk dengan alat echo sounder merupakan suatu metode yang saat ini digunakan untuk melakukan survey bathimetri permukaan waduk. Survey dilakukan dengan melakukan pengukuran bathimetri waduk berdasarkan rute pemeruman yang pernah dilakukan pada studi yang telah dilakukan pada tahun 2012 sehingga diharapkan akan didapatkan hasil yang tepat dalam memperkirakan laju sedimentasi waduk yang terjadi selama kurun waktu 2012-2016.dari hasil survey didapatkan bahwa telah terjadi penurunan volume kapasitas waduk sebesar 668.244,50 m3 selama kurun waktu tersebut. Volume waduk Cacaban yang ada saat ini  adalah sebesar 55.681.748, 50 m3 dari volume awal waduk di tahun 1958 adalah sebesar 90 juta m3 pada saat muka air normal. Kata kunci: Bendungan Cacaban, Sedimentasi Waduk, Survei Pemeruman Waduk.  Abstract: Echo sounder Reservoir bathymetric survey is a currently method used to survey the surface of reservoir bathymetry. The reservoir bathymetry survey was conducted by measuring route based that ever conducted on studies that have been done in 2012 so hopefully it will get the right result in estimates of reservoir sedimentation rate that occurred during the period 2012-2016. From the survey results showed that there has been a 668,244.50 m3reservoir volume capacity reducing during this period. Cacaban reservoir volume recently is equal to 55,681,748, 50 m3compared with the initial volume of the reservoir in 1958 that amount to 90 million m3in the reservoir normal water level. Keywords: Cacaban Dam, Reservoir Sedimentation, Reservoir Bathymetric Survey.

Abstract

Development in the area of Landak Sub watershed, Kapuas watershed that quite rapidly also followed by the shrinking of the existing forest area. Reduction in forest area due to land clearing for oil palm tree which absorbs a lot of surrounding water for its growth affect the water balance in the Landak sub-watershed. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of reduction of river flow discharge due to the planting of oil palm tree. The outline of stages of study includes evapotranspiration calculations with the Penman-Monteith, water availability analysis with NRECA Model, water balance analysis with Thornthwaite and Mather model, as well as estimates of river discharge with FJ Mock Model. Based on the results of the study can be seen that the percentage in discharge reduction due to the planting of oil palm tree ranged from 30% to 40%.Keywords: oil palm, water balance
