Abstract

Product quality is an important part that must be considered in the sales process. Product quality is also an advantage of a product in meeting customer needs and desires. While the purchase decision is the attitude of consumers in determining one of several alternative choices. Quality products will greatly affect consumer purchasing decisions. Pt. Bumi Alam Lestari has 300 active customers. The formulation of the problem in this study, "Does product quality affect purchasing decisions at PT. Sustainable Natural Earth?”. The goal to be achieved in this study is to determine whether there is an effect of product quality on purchasing decisions at PT. Sustainable Natural Earth. The research method used is quantitative associative. The number of respondents / samples of 60 customers from a population of 300 customers with the sampling technique is incidental sampling. The large influence of product quality on purchasing decisions can be seen in the determination test, the percentage is 45.20% with the results of this coefficient of determination, it can be concluded that the purchasing decision of PT. Bumi Alam Lestari 45.20% is influenced by product quality, while the remaining 54.80% is contributed by other factors that can be explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Cemara Asri Fruit Market is a supermarket that sells or provides various kinds of consumer needs. It has been established since May 7 2018, located at Jalan Cemara No.29-32 the beautiful fir complex, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This study draws on the theory from Tjiptono (2019) discussing consumer satisfaction in the fir asri fruit market with the aim of knowing consumer satisfaction when shopping at Cemara Asri Fruit Market, Medan. The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques carried out by the author through interviews. Informants are subjects who understand research problems as actors and people who understand research problems. Researchers used purposive techniques in selecting informants. and the results are tested by triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate that consumer satisfaction when shopping at Cemara Asri Fruit Market, Medan. It is still not seen from the service that is less friendly to consumers as well as the slow response of employees in handling consumer complaints. Parking facilities that can still be improved are also promotions that are less spread out.

Abstract

This study investigates the phenomenon of sexist verbal violence on social media through a psycholinguistic lens, focusing on the linguistic forms, communicative functions, and psychological impacts of abusive language directed at women. Triggered by the growing prevalence of gendered hate speech on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, particularly targeting female public figures, this research employs a descriptive qualitative method supported by speech act theory (Austin, 1962; Searle, 1969). A total of 150 comments were analyzed, of which 55 were identified as containing sexist verbal abuse. The findings reveal that these utterances typically involve illocutionary speech acts such as insults, verbal sexual harassment, gender stereotyping, and moral policing. The corresponding perlocutionary effects include emotional harm, such as shame, fear, and diminished self-confidence in the victims. From a psycholinguistic perspective, the production of such language reflects internalized gender bias, affective disinhibition, and the activation of negative cognitive schemas. The study further highlights how digital anonymity and ethical disinhibition enable users to express aggression with minimal accountability. Overall, the results indicate that language is strategically used to exert power and reinforce patriarchal norms within digital discourse. This research underscores the need for greater linguistic awareness, the promotion of digital empathy, and the implementation of more responsive communication ethics in online environments. Creating safer, more inclusive digital spaces requires a multidimensional approach involving education, platform regulation, and cultural change in how language is used and interpreted.

Abstract

This study examines the methods and techniques employed in translating the Maitreya Pancasutra from Classical Chinese into Indonesian, with a focus on how linguistic and cultural complexities are managed. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes how complex linguistic and cultural elements of this sacred Buddhist text are transferred and adapted in translation. Data were collected via document analysis of the source (Classical Chinese) and target (Indonesian) texts, with particular attention to idiomatic expressions, doctrinal terminology, and culture-specific references that pose translation challenges. Using content analysis, the study identifies translation strategies and evaluates their effectiveness in maintaining both semantic fidelity and cultural resonance.,The findings reveal a patterned use of translation methods—including literal translation, borrowing, modulation, adaptation, and communicative enrichment—indicating a consistent strategic effort to preserve sacred terminology while enhancing narrative clarity for Indonesian readers. For instance, the phrase "如是我聞" was translated using a combination of semantic and communicative approaches, while sacred names like “彌勒” (Mílè) were retained through transliteration, reflecting doctrinal respect and the principle of the “Five Untranslatables.” Modulation and cultural approximation were applied to render abstract Buddhist concepts accessible to Indonesian readers, though sometimes leading to simplification of philosophical nuances. The use of adaptation, as in translating “仙人” as “Maharesi,” illustrates how translators navigate cultural gaps between source and target audiences. This study contributes to contemporary Buddhist translation studies by arguing that the Indonesian translation of the Maitreya Pancasutra adopts a hybrid strategy of doctrinal foreignization combined with linguistic and cultural domestication. It underscores the importance of culturally sensitive translation techniques in conveying religious texts meaningfully across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
