Abstract

A budget is a periodic financial plan that covers a company's operational activities within a certain period. Budgeting is theprocess of operating a plan in the form of qualifications, which are usually in monetary form, for a certain period of time. Witha good budget, the company can arrange planning the amount of income desired from the results of its business, the amountof expenses, and profits to be achieved in a period. The formulation of the problem in this study is "How is the budgetpreparation at CV. Buana Raya Medan? The purpose of this study is to analyze the preparation of the budget at CV. BuanaRaya Medan. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Data sources used include primarydata and secondary data. Data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. In this study, researchersused source triangulation. From the results of the analysis of the preparation of the budget on the CV. Buana Raya Medan isknown that in 2012, the company's profit exceeded the target, where the company targeted a profit of Rp. 777,003,156, whilethe company's profit of Rp. 783,212,617. In 2013, the company's profit also exceeded the target, where the companytargeted a profit of Rp. 791,415,915, while the company's profit of Rp. 806,845,903. In 2014, the company's profit was lowerthan the target, where the company targeted a profit of Rp. 1,740,107,783, while the company's profit is only Rp.1,625,985,169. Thus, the preparation of the budget has not been done well on the CV. Buana Raya Medan.

Abstract

Formal education is a structured and tiered education pathway which consists of basic education, secondary education, andhigher education. Non-formal education is an education pathway out of formal education that can be implemented in astructured and tiered way. While, informal education is the path of family and environmental education (Law No. 20 of 2003).The formulation of the problem in this study is "Is there any influence on the promotional cost towards the increasing numberof students at Sempoa SIP North Sumatra and Aceh?". The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of promotionalcosts towards the increasing number of students at Sempoa SIP North Sumatra and Aceh. The method used in this study isa quantitative associative method that aims to measure the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Datacollection is done through documentation studies. From the results of this study note that the independent variable (thepromotional costs) and the dependent variable (the increasing number of students) have a very strong relationship. This canbe seen from the calculation of the correlation coefficient which has a value of r = 0.894. The conclusion of this study isbased on the hypothesis test obtained comparisons of t arithmetic> t table (4.472> 3.364). Thus, the promotional costsincurred by companies with the increasing number of students have a strong and positive relationship.

Abstract

The objective of research is to known employee training at PT. Amir Hasan Medan. The Grand Theory in this research usingTriton theory (2010:107) explain that human resource training base on the place of execution can be classified into : on thejob training and off the job training. This research using descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection methodcollected by Structure Interview. Meanwhile, data analysis method using Miles and Huberman Method, consisting of datareduction, data display, and conclution drawing / verification. The conclution of research shown employee training thatapplied in PT Amir Hasan Medan, covers : On the job training which is Direct Practice and Off the job training wich isLecture. Direct Practice method apply for the new employee. The new employees will be supervised by the senior employeein two until three weeks for them to learn that new jobs. Lecture training method that held on a class meeting and for theSales Division only. In this class meeting, lead by a Manager or a Head of Sales division that give the tecniques ofmarketing such as communication tecnique, Custommer approching tecnique, closing deal tecnique, and ect. Theparticipant of this training is an Employee that the Sales was decreasing, this apply for once in a month.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the motivation method applied on Marketing Staff at PT Global Mitra Prima,Medan. The research method using descriptive qualitative, data collection method using structure interview, and samplingtechnique are using purposive sampling. The result of this research conclude the marketing staff at PT Global Mitra Primastated that they rarely get compliment, promotion, pay hike from leader of the company. Marketing staff at PT Global MitraPrima also says that facilities provided by the company really help them in doing their jobs, the enviroment in the company isvery comfortable, their co-worker attitude very good in this company. They have a good relationship as a colleague in thecompany. The company also providde the complete facilities such as Car for company needs, computer, air conditioner, thecomplete stationary, table and chair, printer, photocopy machine, and wi-fi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effect of gamers' consumptive behavior on gacha purchases in the Genshin Impact Game. Gacha is a game based on the player's chance and luck. Most of these games are usually free-to-play games with a gacha system as an incentive to use real currency to collect rare (limited) items. The research method used is a quantitative type. The number of research samples is 250 people from the population of Genshin Impact players whose number is unknown, with the sampling technique is accidental sampling. The large influence of consumptive behavior on the purchase of gacha can be seen in the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) as a percentage of 74.5%. With the results of this coefficient, it can be concluded that the purchase of gacha by 74.5% is influenced by the consumptive behavior of the players, while the remaining 25.5% is contributed by other factors that can be explained by other variables outside the model

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of advertising through Instagram social media on purchasing decisions on Xiaomi smartphones. The author uses an associative quantitative method with the sampling technique of incidental sampling, this study uses SPSS to analyze the effect of advertising through social media Instagram with purchasing decisions through questionnaires distributed to 40 respondents, namely the people of Medan Deli District. The results of this study are that there is an influence between advertising through Instagram social media on the purchasing decision of Xiaomi smartphones by 40.7% while the remaining 59.93% is influenced by other factors outside of this study

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of service quality on parental satisfaction at IEC, Medan. This research method is explanatory quantitative. Explanatory research or also called verification research aims to test a truth through testing hypotheses about causation between the various variables studied. The population in this study was 216 customers. The sampling technique in this study is the incidental sampling technique. The research sample is 68 customers by using Slovin formula. The result of the research is that there is an effect of service quality on the satisfaction of parents at IEC. Service quality is a form of consumer assessment of the level of service received or perceived as expected, so the quality of service is perceived as good and satisfactory. The research instrument used is the validity and reliability test. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The correlation results are 0.601 and a significant value is 0.001 which indicates that the variables of service quality and customer satisfaction have a positive and strong relationship. From the results of r square of 47% and the remaining 53% is influenced by other factors. From the calculation of the regression analysis, the regression equation Y=8,250+0,126X is obtained. Thus it can be concluded that the quality of service affects the satisfaction of parents at IEC, Medan

Abstract

At the beginning of the work from home policy, many employees, especially female employees, enthusiastically welcomed it, because they could do office work while taking care of the household. This study aims to analyze the effect of work from home (WFH) on work life balance (WLB) and work stress for female workers in Medan City. Respondents in this study were 100 female workers in the city of Medan aged 25-49 years with purposive snowball sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing a 5 Likert scale questionnaire. The analysis carried out in this study was a partial and simultaneous test of the influence between variables. Based on the results of the study showed that there was an influence (p>0.05) betweenWFH with WLB and work stress simultaneously. Meanwhile, based on the results of the t test, it shows that WFH does not affect work stress. Furthermore, there were 48% of respondents who gave a doubtful response to their satisfaction in carrying out office and home work during WFH and as many as 35% did not experience role stress during WFH, as many as 19% of female workers in Medan City felt stressed with working conditions during WFH. This study shows that it is necessary to take a policy so that WLB and work stress on female workers do not affect performance.

Abstract

PT Citra Agra Pertiwi or known as Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan is a business engaged in the hospitality sector. Karibia Boutique Hotel is a 4-star hotel in Medan City. Established in November 2012, it is located at the Center Point Complex, Jalan Timor Block J No N I – IV Medan, North Sumatra, 20231. This study takes the theory from Tjiptono & Chandra (2019) and discusses the services at Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan with the aim of knowing the quality of service available at Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan. According to Tjiptono & Chandra (2019) the right indicators to measure service quality are reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. The data collection technique used by the author is field research (interviews), the sample was selected using accidental sampling technique, and theresults of the interviews were tested by triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate that the quality of service provided by Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan still needs to improve the quality of service.

Abstract

Cemara Asri Fruit Market is a supermarket that sells or provides various kinds of consumer needs. It has been established since May 7 2018, located at Jalan Cemara No.29-32 the beautiful fir complex, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. This study draws on the theory from Tjiptono (2019) discussing consumer satisfaction in the fir asri fruit market with the aim of knowing consumer satisfaction when shopping at Cemara Asri Fruit Market, Medan. The author uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Sources of data used are primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques carried out by the author through interviews. Informants are subjects who understand research problems as actors and people who understand research problems. Researchers used purposive techniques in selecting informants. and the results are tested by triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate that consumer satisfaction when shopping at Cemara Asri Fruit Market, Medan. It is still not seen from the service that is less friendly to consumers as well as the slow response of employees in handling consumer complaints. Parking facilities that can still be improved are also promotions that are less spread out.
